Frances did get quite sick on MS - but it passed within 30 minutes.... of course Lauren and I loved it.....

I looked at the thread this morning - and decided better of it....

:flower1: Good morning cruisers! :flower1:

Happy Wednesday!

I'm with Karen - what happened to everyone last night. Logged on and there were only a few new posts - not pages and pages. I think the blabbermouth comment got to everyone.

Well for what its worth I think there were a number of people who logged onto the 10 day thread but didn't stay around and chat. I think they are the ones that missed out on all the fun. Same here. Those who post and are getting to know each other are going to have a much better time on the cruise than those who just want to be by themselves. IMHO.
Couldn't agree with you more Mary!
After the last very enjoyable experience, this cruise is starting to look like just as much fun.

Now if we can just talk Stacey into getting married again........:earseek:

Mark won't do Mission Space. He is ok with Star Tours, but got sick on Body Wars and Back to the Future (at Universal). He hates all spinning rides.

I've done it twice and would do it again. First time I did it alone. Second time with a groud of friends (at Member Homecoming - half went on the ride and half didn't). I'd do it again if in a group, but don't think I'd do it by myself again.

I do think it is important for people to do reseach on these rides and decide if they are right for them or not. As someone else already pointed out Disney does a great job of explaining the ride so no one should be surprised.

My prayers go out to the family, but until proven otherwise I don't blame Disney for this.

We like Mission Space, and if you follow the instructions I/we don't have any problems. :confused3

I won't ever go on MS, anyway, even with the barf bags :faint: . I made the mistake of going on Star Tours once. And I wonder why I was surprised when I got seasick on our cruise last year!

I've never been on MS and never will go (and not b/c of the death) Mike has been once and he says he's done. Now the kids must either ride alone or with whatever guest wants to go on it.

Any ride that has warnings the entire way through the queue about people prone to motion sickness and those with a fear of tight enclosed spaces is a dead give away that I should stay far away!

Star Tours, did it, done with it. Body Wars, did it, done with it. Rockin' Rollercoaster, did it done with it....

Actually, KT did a double scrapbook page titled "THE RIDES MOM WON'T RIDE!" ;)

I got a BOP, now trying for the TOP

Where were the pirate: ?????

Wow, that's like deja vu!

Is that showing up twice on everyone else's 'puter or is it just me??

WHAT?

I go to bed last night at a reasonable hour....
then get up today and there is EXACTLY ONE new post?

Where IS everyone?

I'm sorry to disappoint you with my one post. If I knew there was that much riding on it I would have made it more profound! :guilty:

Maybe Karen and Mike could do it this time.

I can hear the Captain now..."Do you Cupcake..."

Oh, no, not disappointed. Never disappointed with you, Sir Scuba! ;)

what is with buyers on ebay....they can't take 2 minutes to send feedback?? i have about 8 auctions in which the people have received their items 4 or more days ago and they aren't leaving feedback. Grrrr.

Diana, do you notice this problem?

Sometimes no feedback is better than some feedback. :confused3

We will be pushing 15 years.....

FIFTEEN YEARS! Ack! Wow, that's a long time....

Well, actually at cruise time it'll be 14 3/4 years.
And now it's not even 14....

that's not so long! ;)

no...vow renewal means fancy clothes. we don't do fancy here.

now, if i can do vow renewal in denim shorts and my DIS tee-shirt, i'll consider it!

KikiKaren congratulations on post number 7500!:cool1:  (that's useful, right?)
Wow... I must have been half-asleep last night... I totally missed that it was another milestone post, or I would have been more profound (or at least used the Mr. Bill photo again...

We will (hopefully) be doing a week at WDW before the cruise. That is why I went ahead and bought PAP's for us this last trip. So we will head to the port Sat morning from Orlando.
I just looked at our school calendar... the kids are done on Wed... so maybe I'll take an extra day (making up for Memorial Day) and hit one of the parks, just to get us 'in the mood'...

While walking out Sharon mentioned it was like being on a cruise without the big price tag...to just sit beachside with a drink, watching some guys surf fish, band playing inside....how could anything be wrong! :sunny:
Wow... can't say I've ever heard the North Turn compared to a cruise... but it is a great place to sit and chill (yeah... chill when it's 90 degrees...) Inlet Harbor is always my favorite place for atmosphere... I think it goes back to when I used to wait all year to go there while on vacation- before we moved here.)

maybe for some, their idea of fun was avoiding large crowds and commotion.

whatever.
Then this DEFINITELY isn't the thread for them... :rotfl2: Commotion is our middle name! And looking at Mary's roster, were at something like 70 cruisers so far... that's with 49.5 weeks to go!

"see ya mom, i'm going out to play with my friends, i'll be back before dinner" (???)
Some things never change, do they??

WDWLVR said:
Most likely the same people who were posting a week ago about rethinking their cruise because of the girl missing in Aruba.

I guess for some everything is black and white - no grey area at all.
And the same people who now don't want to visit FL anytime from June-Nov because it's hurricane season... good... STAY HOME!!!! Now, if I used that logic, but with snowstorms (which are much more prevalent, BTW), as to whether or not to fly back home to visit my family, it would rule out October-April- no more family holidays for me, I guess!

Elizabeth and I LOVED it the first time we went on, but quickly learned that going on twice in a row (within 5 minutes) is not advisable... it took us about an hour to lose that 'green' feeling afterward... and neither of us ever get queasy on anything! (no, no barf bags were deployed...)

I really need to clean my office today... no coming back here til its done!

And why couldn't you do that? It is your vow renewal - you should be able to do it as you want.

We're coming up on 15 years too this October.

Sandi - we learned last year that it is far better to share opinions in our own thread where we know each other than to venture out to the other boards. Of course that doesn't stop me sometimes. :)

Now let's all say "carafe" together. :rotfl2:
