Busy day today. Have to call and see if the kids' ceramics are done---they are anxious to get them by father's day.

then have to FINALLY go pick up the car. they called yesterday and figured out the problem. they had ordered, and installed, the wrong radio. they were VERY VERY VERY apologetic and offered to fill up my tank for free...

but i already had a full tank b/c of the whole mix up when we bought the car.

when i go and pick it up i'm going to try to negotiate a better "i'm sorry gift." maybe a free oil change/tire rotation for mike's truck (mine are free for a year so that doesn't do any good)

i'll just say something like....i really want to be able to rate you highly on the customer satisfaction survey..... HA!

:flower1: Good morning cruisers! :flower1:

Happy Wednesday!

I'm with Karen - what happened to everyone last night. Logged on and there were only a few new posts - not pages and pages. I think the blabbermouth comment got to everyone.

Well for what its worth I think there were a number of people who logged onto the 10 day thread but didn't stay around and chat. I think they are the ones that missed out on all the fun. Same here. Those who post and are getting to know each other are going to have a much better time on the cruise than those who just want to be by themselves. IMHO.

what is with buyers on ebay....they can't take 2 minutes to send feedback?? i have about 8 auctions in which the people have received their items 4 or more days ago and they aren't leaving feedback. Grrrr.

Diana, do you notice this problem?

Fully, fully agree. People chose how involved to be both on the thread and on the ship.....maybe for some, their idea of fun was avoiding large crowds and commotion.

whatever.

i know i was torn trying to hang with the DIS'ers and yet not alienate my parents. i mean how many times can i skip out of the stateroom door and say "see ya mom, i'm going out to play with my friends, i'll be back before dinner" (???)

In December of last year, my DW (Soprano) posted to this thread and remarked that she had just read all 18 pages of it. Today, I am posting here for the first time and see that it is now up to 324 pages! Amazing.

I read and occasionally post on the regular board and was asked by TiggerInNY to also post here. Greetings to our fellow cruisers. We are really looking forward to two CC days next May.
Doing a search of the user name I found the one post he made on this thread.

He only has 75 total posts and has been a member for a year so I guess he is more the looking for info and not looking to meet people.

His loss.

man the debate is hot about the MS situation! not posting anything there!

I think it's interesting the people who are saying "there is no way I'll ever go on Mission Space again.....it could kill me."

Umm.....are these people getting behind the wheel of a car anytime soon? They have a FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR greater chance of dying that way than they do on Mission Space!!!!! But I'm not posting that over there!

Ouch. It was bad enough reading it here, but in context it's even worse!!
Well, probably not the person I'd hang with on a cruise anyway b/c all she's doing is complaining................

oh, and she's from MICHIGAN!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: No WAY I'd hang with her! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Right you are!

Most likely the same people who were posting a week ago about rethinking their cruise because of the girl missing in Aruba.

I guess for some everything is black and white - no grey area at all.

Thanks for the recommendation, but unfortunately we do not have a Costco....

We have Costco in ATL metro. But, I guess you'd have to be a member to buy so that doesn't help. Do y'all have Home Depot Expo there? They have nice higher end items there. Guess that all depends on how much you want to spend.

ah, thanks. i hadn't checked the bottom of the feet, so i couldn't tell.....

i know, i know this won't make sense to people so let me explain. when i was a kid i lived on a farm. lots of barn cats....mousers. when a litter of kittens was born, my dad would flip them over and say "girl." "girl." "boy." and then he'd look at me and say "i'm checking the bottom of their feet to see what they are."

HA! that worked until i was about 22 and found out what he was REALLY doing.
my kids are smarter. they've figured it out already.

I can't even stand to READ that thread 'over there', let alone post on it :sad2:.

Sandi - we learned last year that it is far better to share opinions in our own thread where we know each other than to venture out to the other boards. Of course that doesn't stop me sometimes. :)

I won't ever go on MS, anyway, even with the barf bags :faint: . I made the mistake of going on Star Tours once. And I wonder why I was surprised when I got seasick on our cruise last year!
