Anybody start to think about where they're going to stay the night before the cruise?

Yeah, but it won't help you any... sorry.

OH, I'm sorry, Amanda. I haven't met you, yet, and you could be perfectly normal. Just like me, like me, like me, like me.
Are you related tpSNL's Mr. Bill??:rotfl:

By the way, Consumer Reports had grill comparisons in one of their last couple of issues. I bet you could check it out at your local library. Let those taxpayer dollars work for you.:goodvibes

I know, Shutters is where most of it will go. I'm going to try to do my best not to spend too much. From what I hear, they take great pictures of the kids. And the family pictures are to die for.

On the very 1st cruise we went on, I was really impressed with Shutters. It seemes like someone was always around snapping a picture of the kids. But these last few cruises I have been on, I haven't been overly impressed. I hardly noticed photographers just out and about on the ship, only at dinner times

Anybody start to think about where they're going to stay the night before the cruise?.

Gotta go now. Talk to you guys later.

TTFN,
Maria

We will (hopefully) be doing a week at WDW before the cruise. That is why I went ahead and bought PAP's for us this last trip. So we will head to the port Sat morning from Orlando. Only, I may have made a boo-boo. I just realized that my BIL will be graduating this school year, and we may not be able to get that week prior to the cruise at WDW like I had hoped. That would stink, as it is one of the main reason's I bought AP's this year....(At least that is what I told Steve;) ) I know you all will probably think I
am crazy, but I am trying to put together another trip to WDW for this Sept. The free dining is just calling my name, and I felt so bad about leaving Nathan at home for the last trip. So I got a quote from Dreams, if I take my DD with me to celebrate her b-day, and Nate (just because I feel guilt) for 3 nights at POP with free dining would be like $300 and something..I dont recall the exact price but I recall it was closer to $300 that $400.......And since I already have an AP all I had to do was buy the 1day pass to get the dining for all 3 days!! I say, you cant beat that...what do you all say? Only thing is, like 2 weeks later DH and I would be heading BACK to get on the Wonder! I kinda don't want to make the drive down 2 times in one month....hmmm dilemmas dilemmas.....what to do what to do......:confused3

This has caused the OCP in me great stress. I feel the need to have things planned already, but we're still trying to decide if we should pull our pop-up down. We'd like to scout out possible retirement communities along the way in Georgia and Florida, staying for a day or two in a few places. Then we would head over to FW for 3 - 4 days before the cruise. The drawbacks: having to drive home after our relaxing week, the cost of gas, and the extra cost to park the vehicle with pop-up at the port. Flying down non-stop sounds nice right now.:confused3

bring the pop up, tour GA and park it in my drive for the week :-)
I already have Columbus in the TripTiks for our first 'recon' mission. Know any good campgrounds close by?

No, but I can find out. One of the guys I work with is being loaned from Macon, and he has pulled his trailer down here. He is staying in a campground and I will ask him the name of it!

Ok guys! I think I did pretty good in holding off the fluff for tonight! I guess I had better go to bed before I get loopy and fluffy! I hope everyone has sweet dreams! Good night!

No, I just came across that blurb while reading another totally unrelated thread, and it made me giggle.:rotfl:

Come on and share - which thread was it?

Been doing little payments at a time.

That's what I've been doing, and it's working great for me. Hope to have ours paid off by Christmas. That way I can just print off the DU ressie page with the zero balance and put it under the tree.

Any suggestions for an approximate amount to have at cruise time? I know, Shutters is where most of it will go.

On our first cruise we ended up getting the smallest Shutters package, but by the end of the cruise had updated it to the next one up. Shore excursions took up quite a bit of $$ for us. I plan on booking ahead with non-Disney excursions, so they would not go to the shipboard account. Neither of us are drinkers, and DS only had 1 smoothie, but we put tips and of course some shopping on the KTTW. We had DS KTTW de-activated first thing on board. Bottom line for 3 of us was still under $1000. Our Palo and spa was pre-paid with the REAS package.

So sorry to hear you will not be diving with us. Keep my email handy so the next time you are at WDW we can do some diving!

Thanks Jim, looking forward to it.....

Can't go wrong with North Turn... perfect 'beach food' & the view is always great. My kids love it there, too... (I don't think I've ever been there without kids... what's it like?:confused3 )

Oh well...

While walking out Sharon mentioned it was like being on a cruise without the big price tag...to just sit beachside with a drink, watching some guys surf fish, band playing inside....how could anything be wrong! :sunny:

WHAT?

I go to bed last night at a reasonable hour....
then get up today and there is EXACTLY ONE new post?

Where IS everyone?
