I was just laying in bed this morning trying to figure out how many weeks left and I knew I could count on you. Can't wait to tell my DH (I prefer Disney Husband) how many weeks we have left. I can't wait. All us compulsive planners out there....

Well, the day is starting and I must leave the boards for a while.

Hey, how do you change the font AND size AND color at the same time on these boards?

And, how many of us from the Double Scoop go on the chat room on Friday nights? How do you get on?

Just a couple of questions for y'all. Have a great day!!!! The sun is out here in NY and the temp should be getting up to around 50 degrees. Hopefully enough to melt this &^$#*@)(*$ snow!!! Come on SPRING!!!

Mary taught us all many pages back about the "WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET" editor aka WYSIWYG and I am pretty certain the option for that is in your user CP under preferences. It mkaes writing in color and different font and sizes all easy! LOL

Maria - to change you colors and sizes etc. go to you user CP, then edit options, then scroll down to the bottom to Misc. options. Change your editor to the Advanced WYSIWYG option. That will put a tool bar at the top of your reply window that lets you pick size, font, color, etc. very easily.

I'm in chat most Friday nights - at least for the first 1/2 hour or so. Go to the main cruise page and there is a sticky post (one of the top 4 or 5) that gives you the link to chat and also tells you how to log on. You might want to try it at an off hour. Chat is great fun - hope to see you there soon.

I have a dilemma yall. My DH's aunt passed away Thursday night. He didn't know her very well at all. I had never met her except for once whne she was in the hospital about 3 years ago. Of course his G-ma is upset and his Dad. The family visitation is tonight and the funeral tommorrow. Remember, we have 4 kids ages 9,8,5 and 1. I do NOT want to take them to these things, and especially fight the little one to be still and not cause any disruptions. WOuld it be terribly rude of me to only send my DH?

Amanda, here's my take on family funerals. Your DH's aunt will never miss you. Your in-laws, however, will never forget that you didn't stop by. Any chance you could snag a babysitter for a short time tonight? Or better yet, get the babysitter for the night and have your DH take you out to dinner after you stop by the visitation. Just my 2 cents.

Thank you, Amanda! My thoughts on your "dilemma".....send your husband, and let him tell the family that you had to stay home with the kids. It's awfully hard to get a sitter on short notice, and at least he was there to represent the family. Anyone who doesn't understand how hard it is to either get a sitter, or take 4 kids to a funeral, must have never had kids. I wouldn't worry too much about what they think.....if someone is upset by it, they'll get over it.

Nope, not rude at all. If you can't find anyone to watch the kids, send DH alone. (If it was me, and I COULD find someone to watch the kids, I'd use it for DATE NIGHT, not for a funeral!!)

I wouldn't worry too much about what they think.....if someone is upset by it, they'll get over it.

Or they'll deliberately choose to boycott YOUR funeral, in which case the sourness in their heart will make them miserable.

I've updated the double scoop group page with Mickeymo's family info as well as Jilliebean's. No pictures for these two families but hopefully soon. Sorry it took so long to get the info up. Monica sent me her's a month ago.

Diana, that is exactly what I am worried about. ALthough, my FIL was not close to his sister either. I mean my DH and I have been married, 12 years and kids later, I have only met this woman once before.Like I said she was in the hospital and not very coherent at that time. I don't think she had much to do with her mom(mt DH's gma or her brother my FIL) I guess maybe he remembers their relationship as kids?
I know it looks bad, but really I have no other babysitting alternative. My daily sitter only watches my kids Mon thru Fri, unless I can arrange it with her WAYYYY in advance. . Any other rare time that we go out together, it is my SIL or MIL that will keep our kids, thus we have not been going out together much. My family does not live in town.My everyday sitter is the one that is going to keep the kids for us in Sept, but we had to clear that with her a long time ago. She has 3 kids of her own. At this point I am leaning towards not going and asking DH to go for all of us. I dont know.
