Hey scubadad? Should we tell the "three girls" they have to learn to talk sports or Matt might not talk much. He really perks up when the topic gets to that, otherwise you just see that little smirk.... :bounce:

Last night we quized him, "what color are Jordan's eye?"

He had to think for a minute, but he pulled it out, "Brown".

I think by the time this cruise rolls around we won't have any problem getting him to talk to the girls. ;)

BTW, the dive boats have been booked. Working on the hotels now.

LOL! :rotfl2: They all have some time to get their "groove on"

:cool1: Good News! Can't wait!! :cheer2:

(this ones for you Diana)

Shark!

There is this atheist swimming in the ocean. All of a sudden he sees a shark in the water, so he starts swimming furiously towards his boat.

As he looks back, he sees the shark turn and head towards him. He's scared to death, and as he sees the jaws of the great white beast open, revealing its horrific teeth, the atheist screams, "Oh God! Save me!"
In an instant, time is frozen and a bright light shines down from above. The man is motionless in the water when he hears the voice of God say, "You are an atheist. Why do you call upon me when you do not believe in me?"

Confused, and knowing he can't lie, the man replies, "Well, that's true I don't believe in you, but how about the shark? Can you make the shark believe in you?"

The Lord replies, "As you wish," and the light retracts back into the heavens. The man feels the water move once again.

As the atheist looks back, he can see the jaws of the shark start to close down on him, when all of sudden the shark stops and pulls back.

Shocked, the man watches as the huge beast closes its eyes, bows its head and says, "Thank you Lord for this food which I am about to receive..."

An Irish Blessing for you this morning...

May the roads rise to meet you,
May the winds be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again
May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.

Holy Cow!! Glad she is OK!!

Being sick like that is NO fun! I think I know who it was hardest on........

Thanks Kevin. I really am glad she is better to. You hate it when your kids get sick. She still is barely eating and can't stand the site of meat, but she has gone back to school. Last two days before Spring Break:banana:

Karen (kiki) don't forget your picks for the Nascar thread on the CB. I almost forgot to do mine this week.

Thanks... running around like a crazy person trying to get my act together before we leave for San Diego on Saturday AM... totally forgot about the race...

It sure will be wierd watching the race at 10AM on the West Coast!!!!!!!

Where is everyone today? We've been enjoying the spring-like weather here; in the 50's! I know that sounds chilly to most of you, but we'll take it until the really warm weather gets here. DH even pulled out the motorcycle in anticipation of warmer days to come. We thought about bailing out on this cruise, but the more we thought about it, the more we decided we wanted to be pampered for a week. Plus I'm dying to put faces with all the names from the boards. DH has yet to lurk like I do every day. That, plus it's hard to give up our Cat 7 knowing the price has increased my many $$$$ since we booked. We're still not telling DS, but told him if he got straight A's, we'd go on another Disney cruise. :rolleyes1

I quit making promises like that. I want to go on the cruise regardless of the grades. Don't want to give my children that kind of power because if they don't make the grades we don't go. I made a few promises that backfired on me. No more. I learned my lesson. I only promise things that I feel that I can back out of.

Yeahhhh, a shared top with scuba diver!pirate:

I would be afraid of it not happening, then what would I do, go on it without them. Hmmm, that is a good idea;)

Tonight we are packing to head to Tallahassee. Lisa has state's on Saturday so Sharon and I take her there tomorrow.

Matt has TWD testing and a military ball on Saturday so he gets to spend the weekend with Grandparents. He is one lucky guy! :cool1:

1st night of volleyball for ds7, Maggie; Don't think she realized the ball would sting, but she enjoyed her first practice...

The DCL cruise video came in the mail yesterday - it was annoying to watch, constantly having to fumble for the remote - but, it's a Magic fix, regardless.

One positive though, while reading through the various topics and seeing longer countdown clocks than ours makes me glad it's not farther away...

Trying for anything to make me feel better - One year ago today, we were anticipating being on Castaway Cay on Friday...

Hey Kiki, did you ever find out about the Gas light district resturants like you needed??

Have a good time and stick your tongue out at the Navy ships for me would ya!! :rotfl: (used to be in the Navy, Arrrrrgh!)

I'll wait til we get there, and just play it by ear... I know there are 2 good Spanish restaurants nearby- I miss my grandmothers paella...

I'll be sure to 'salute' those Navy ships for you!

I LOVE paella!! We had a good paella when we were there last time (several years ago). A smallish shopping area to the South of the downtown, right on the bay. They had a really cool merry go round in the place.

There is a restaurant there that was good, sorry, can't remember the name....

Have fun!! :hyper:

The restaurant had a really nice second story outdoor patio, though, and that's where we ate. So Karen, all you have to do is find the restaurant with the high patio at the shopping center with the indoor carousel, and you're set!

I had a really bad day yesterday. Spent most of it between taking our kitty to get an ultrasound, back to the vet, at the drug store to get him a human prescription. He has an unusual heart condition and they wanted to keep him there to be on oxygen for the night. He wouldn't eat or drink though, he can't stand kennels. So I brought him home. He seems better this morning and we may get to keep him for a while longer, as long as he doesn't have to go to the Vet! Some of you have heard about our fur baby. He's the best cat I've ever known.

Now for better news! It looks as if Alicia will be able to go to the Performing Arts High School next year. We only need one kid out of 50 to not return next year, and she's in. She will be able to take ballet instead of PE, and electives will be Jazz, theatre, guitar. They have a flex schedule to allow extra electives. The very best thing is class size, no more than 15 in a class, and her total graduating class would be 50 kids instead of 600 at our in-district high school. She won't "fall through the cracks" there! The teachers are excellent, and used to teaching bright, creative kids. They do have a gifted program. Only draw back from Alicia's POV (not ours) is fewer boys than girls.
