I'll have you know, Jim, my son cooked chicken tonight! Unfortunately, I was distracted right when he got to the seasoning part and I came back to chicken that was no longer white----it was SOOOOO covered with seasoning! And he was happily BAM-ing the whole time!!

Of course, then his jealous sister wanted to cook something so she stir fried all the vegies!

Cool, a top with Jim, Nick, KT and EMERIL!!!

At least they are trying. Let them ruin a few dishes, it will only get better. We have had a few dishes by Matt that were pretty strong. He learned how much seasonings to use.

Tonight I had left over salmon from the neighbors. Pretty good, but not as good as last night's cooking class. We made three sambuca dishes; lobster, scallops, and shrimp. We also made a special rib eye is a mushroom, wine, marsala, and white sauce. All of them are worthy to make for DW.

The rough part of the evening was having to drive to WDW to pick up DS after his day at MK with his new college friends. We got home at 12:30 this morning. I'm going to be bed early tonight.

What a day! Just got home from Jared's 8 pm ball game. 8 pm, for a bunch of 11 and 12 year olds! And it's been cold and windy all day. 48° when we left the ballpark.

I've been kept rather busy with the taxes, and Jay's Dad's trust ( and the in-laws....or outlaws?...).....but I am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel, I think. I hope. Seems I never have a chance to sit and "chat" anymore!

The store is composed of 6 floors, and the men increase in positive attributes as the shopper ascends the flights. There is, however, a catch. As you open the door to any floor you may choose a man from that floor, but if you go up a floor, you cannot go back down except to exit the building.

So a woman goes to the shopping center to find a husband. On the first floor the sign on the door reads: "Floor 1 - These men have jobs."

The woman reads the sign and says to herself, "Well, that's better than my last boyfriend, but I wonder what's farther up?" So up she goes.

The second floor sign reads: "Floor 2 - These men have jobs and love kids." The woman remarks to herself, "That's great, but I wonder what's farther up?" And up she goes again.

Welcome Jilliebean. This should be a really fun cruise . I too have a son that will turn 16 2 weeks after the cruise ends. We also have an 11 year old daughter that will be with us.


I haven't posted last few days, because Ashley got really sick the night we got home from the swim meet. Unfortunately, she got Food Poisening when we went out to celebrate the swim meet. Her best friend and her mother also got sick. They ate the ribs at Outback. We had her at the doctor monday morning and she got a shot that was supposed to make her stop throwing up, but unfortunately, it didn't work and by the afternoon we were at the hospital. She was so weak and I was scared to death. She fainted 4 times.

Well anyway, she got an IV and more medicine to stop the vomiting and we got to go home about 4 hours later. Kids sure bounce back fast, because she was feeling great yesterday morning we she got up.

Hey scubadad? Should we tell the "three girls" they have to learn to talk sports or Matt might not talk much. He really perks up when the topic gets to that, otherwise you just see that little smirk....
