Did you also see that DCL was not amused by the shirts and that rumor has it he was asked to leave the ship? He didn't leave. I can't imagine them asking him to leave.
But I don't blame them for not being amused.

Yeah saw that. DCL must have been about as amused with the shirts as the passengers were about sleeping in the hallways!

Did you see that Leslie was moved to a porthole room? Apparently they needed access to her room for some plumbing repairs. I think it's because they recognized her from the 10 day cruise and thought she was someone famous!!

I've got a severe case of yuck so I'm staying home from work today. Luckily it isn't too crazy there. I don't think the weather is helping at all - still cold and rainy.

Morning All! It's FRIDAY!!!

Hot Sunny outside today - 74 now - high of 90 summer's here!!!

Damp and wet inside - DH stumbled down to the kitchen to fix coffee and promptly stepped into a swimming pool - the water hose on the frig leaked - the water spread into the living room/dining room - so, I'm busy trying to get the water out of the carpeting...All before a.m. coffee..

Glad everyone made it back from the mini meet.

Slight change in the kareoke tradition, since I don't sing solo with Karen gone, how about...

Now I am jealous. I love backpacking. Being here in Florida there is only limited packing and not great at that. We have to run up to GA to get anything worth while. DS and I like to go, but he is out of the country this summer so I am not sure if I will even make it.

Well, it is still in the planning stage - But I started with the Disney shore excursions and am going from there -- 2 sites are http://www.mayanbeachgarden.com/chacchoban.html

I'm collecting information on length of trips if we were to rent a car/jeep - vs tours...I have not yet seen anything posted from WDW on Costa Maya - so am using other cruise sites.....

And FYI - Jonathon Dickerson State Park has overnight primative backpacking - not the best time of year now, hot - hot - hot, but in the winter months it is a trip over the Florida scrub - the old army base is partially still standing - You just need to ignore the sound of the traffic. Agree with the GA state park system as well!

I'll search out some FL recommendations from friends in the Park Service.

Oh WOW - just rechecked the webcam from Panama....

Somehow since Stacey was going to be a guest at our dinner party - she ended up on my room reservation. When we checked in - they forced us to spend the first night in a smoking room - when it finally got switched - they called the room and asked for me - when Frances said - this is his wife - the front desk said "Stacey - we can move you now....." Needless to say - I got much ribbing from the both of them.....

Hey, what can I say- it's a tough job, but somebody's gotta do it! We just filled an opening for a driver... sorry you missed it! (Yeah- at this stage in your life don't you want to get up at 3AM and do back-breaking work all day??? NOT!... stick with insurance- at least you get dive trips!)

Just checking in from CT- the weather was actually nice here when I landed- it even hit 70 yesterday!!! Cloudy today, but I can't expect 2 days of sun in a row here. Meeting a friend for lunch who I haven't seen in 20 years... should be fun. Then I'll spend the rest of the weekend with my 'pot-stirring' siblings... ahhh... its great to be home!

You had me panicked about the insurance- I just called Ray after reading that, and he said that ours has NOT been cancelled - apparently they cancelled 5600 policies in our county. Rates are going up though... they are getting ridiculous!! (But Scuba, you are right about coffee by the pool being worth the price!!)
