Good Friday Folks....

Snowflakes on the doggie - go figure...

Breaking down cars - not fun (and sorry that it was at a funeral as well)

No Heat - No Way...Glad it is fixed...

At least we got a giggle on Dump photos - thanks Stacey..

And we are now more in the brunnette shades...

Have a great weekend...

Yep, Jordan's eyes are still brown, right Matt?? :rotfl:

Diana, yes...the Town Dump has antiques...lots of them. She also sells porcelain dolls and some antique clothing. Not "boutique" like yours, though.

Since Jordan colored her hair (blonde is her natural color) I can't tell you how many people asked her if it means that she's now "smart".:lmao: She just finished 3 really long exams for history class and got a 90%, 95%, and 99%....so maybe the answer is "YES!" :rotfl2:

Happy Birthday Nick!
:bday::cake::bday:

This post is a little late, but I was reminded of it last night.

We have some friends staying at a condo on the beach in Cocoa Beach.

On Sunday we were sitting on their balcony at 5 PM and got to see the Wonder leaving. We could see the JumboTron for a long time. The seas were smooth and looked like a good time.

Wish we all could have been on it!

Back in WV - had a wonderful trip to Arizona. Great friends, good times, and of course the Fiesta Bowl win for WVU!

Awesome!!
I always wonder if I lived that close, would I go more often? I would think that after doing that a time or two, it would get boring. Especially without DIS friends.

Virgil, glad you all made it home okay. Does Frances have her voice back yet? ;)
Hope you didn't have any delays.

Happy Birthday Nick!!!

Remember, if you lived this close, a lot of what used to be 'cruise money' would go to pay for things like homeowners insurance, property taxes, and your electric bill... all of which are MUCH higher here than many other parts of the country. :)

But then again, there are lots of great pseudo-vacation things to do here... like eat dinner outside by the water with DD in January, like we did last night. (Christopher was sleeping at a friends house, and Ray is working the Bucs/Giants game in Tampa... look for him on the Giants sidelines today... (ick...).

Hey Stacey... he'll be in Phoenix for the Big Game... unfortunately for me, I won't be :sad2:.

It is absolutely BEAUTIFUL here today... saw a rocket launch on my way back from church... didn't even know one was going up today. Just walked my 3 miles... I said I was going to walk 100 miles in January... unfortunately, thanks to the cold this week, I'm at a whopping 6 miles. And I'm headed to CT to see Mom & Dad on Thursday... so that will be 4 more days that I refuse to walk in the cold. I've turned into a winter wuss!!!

Well, I hope he gets to enjoy the game a little and not work too hard.

We wouldn't make the kind of money in Florida that we make here...I don't think people use wrought iron as much down there....rust could be a big reason. ;)
Property taxes don't scare me....we get 6 bills...so if we sold off all that for ONE house in Florida, I think we'd come out ahead. Our highest electric bill in the summer was around $600....so nope, that doesn't scare me either....

The worst thing would be the "travel" bills. Living in Florida would make it sooooo much easier to fly to different islands. Not only just cruising, we'd be wanting to go somewhere all the time.
I think it's safer to stay right here. :rolleyes1

Hmm... can't remember the last time I saw ANYTHING made out of wrought iron down here!!!!! Never thought about it being because of rust, but that sure makes sense! Rust's best friends, mold and mildew have quite a racket down here too... if you can't clean it with a pressure washer, you don't own it for long in Florida!!!! When we first moved here, I had a great outdoor porch-type swing in the backyard... Ray had bought it for me for my grad school graduation when we lived in NH. It got pretty cruddy after several months here, so he decided that it needed a good pressure washing... yeah... that worked... took the fabric right off of it!!! (Needless to say, I no longer own that swing.)

Good Morning Karen and the entire Ohio Mouse Family....

Doing anything tonight?

Nah, probably just gonna stay home and go to bed early!

NOT!!!

We're heading over to Mike's dad's house for some home made pizza and some FOOTBALL!!!

GO BUCKS!!!!!!

U TOP!!!!

I know the state of Ohio will have better representation out of OSU than Bowling Green did last night in the GMAC bowl. Yikes, it was rather embarrassing to watch my alma mater get humiliated by Tulsa - 63-7.

I have to be a closet OSU fan. our best friends are Louisianans... I'll have to catch the last part of the game - Maggie has lacrosse practice until 9:00.

We'll be watching the game tonight too but pulling for the LSU Tigers instead. I didn't go to LSU but my dad did so I grew up being a Tiger fan. Bruce went to school there too.

I think I need to take a nap when I get home so I can actually stay up to watch the entire game.

May the best team win. I'll either being wearing scarlet & gray or my co-worker will be wearing purple and gold tomorrow.

Here are five (edited) reasons why the Tigers will pull out one last dramatic victory Monday night with credit to CNN's Stewart Mandel:
1) They're finally healthy
2) OSU can't stop all of LSU's playmakers.
3) LSU's defense matches up with Ohio State's offense.
4) The Tigers have a huge home-field advantage. Don't think the Superdome is like a home-away-from-home for LSU?
5) LSU's seniors have invested too much to lose this game.
Prediction: = LSU 24, Ohio State 21

Here are five (edited) reasons why the Buckeyes will be hoisting the crystal football with credit to CNN's Cory McCartney
1) Speed? Believe it or not, the Buckeyes do have it. Ohio State can indeed run, (but the Gators' quick defensive line had its way with the Buckeyes last year.) - sorry could not bring myself to edit that last bit.
2) Beanie Wells will be able to run against LSU's defense. all season and can hold its own against LSU's vaunted front.
3) The vest -- or at least the guy who's sporting it. When it comes to big games, there are few coaches who can rival Tressel's ability to deliver.
4) Just like in 2003, the pressure is off Ohio State.
5) The most telling stats in recent years are both in Ohio State's favor. Five times in the last six BCS title games, the team with the defense that has allowed fewer points that season has gone on to claim the crystal trophy. The Buckeyes are No. 1 in the country in scoring defense, yielding 10.7 points per game, while the Tigers have allowed 19.6 a game (21st).
Prediction = Ohio State 27, LSU 21

Here are five non edited reasons why the rest of us should watch the BCS title game:
1) It is the last game of college football for 2007.
2) There are great bands.
3) Ohio State might win (lose)
4) LSU might win (lose).
5) The point spread - either way 24 to 21 or 27 to 21 - a close game.

Now who will be at 21? Good Luck All!
