And some of them had music on their instruments. Never see that with OSU.

Heck, where I went to school, you never saw that in HIGH SCHOOL! We would have gotten killed if we stepped onto the field with music!!!!

And as far as Pee Wee football goes, Christopher is still a JR Pee Wee... so if he plays like a Pee Wee, that's great!!!!!

He hasn't been towed yet. His truck is now resting at the northeast corner of our property. It actually IS a new law...and really is called the Stupid Motorist Law. Just here in Arizona. It's a fine to anyone who crosses a running wash. Too many people (including rescuers) have died because some driver thought they could make it.
So an automatic $2000 fine, plus the charge of reckless driving, PLUS whatever it will cost him to have it towed off my property. Hmmmm...wonder if I can add to his misery by charging him with illegal dumping on private property? Just kidding.

hummmm - perhaps "rent"......by the day...

well, it works for Horses - right GaRRy, and a truck is - how many horses?

An entire day with no posts...we can't have that!!!!

What are people doing :happytv: ????? :laundy: popcorn:: :dance3:

Anyway - Hello!:thumbsup2

I'm packing and getting ready to go to Disney World!!! :cool1: But then you knew that.

This is marathon weekend so Matt and I are there to enjoy all the parks. Actually he will only get to see MK and Epcot because he is only running the 1/2 on Saturday. I get all 4 of them on Sunday.

Sharon and Lisa are coming too.....but they are only sleeping there. Lisa has her first level 10 competition Saturday night in Tampa.

Spent all day in the world's most boring meeting... all while blackberry-ing my brains out trying to do 'crisis management' and pretending to listen...

Leaving for CT tomorrow afternoon... going to see Mom and Dad tomorrow for the weekend... gotta see for myself that she is recovering! Can't wait!!!!

Good Morning All!

My parents came into town last Saturday for a week (hotel). Since they were expected to arrive just after lunch, John had a deadline of 12:30 Saturday to finish all the little details in the house. With the exception of the stairwell painting and photos on the wall, he's finished!

John's parents arrive today and are staying at our house through Monday. Mike's confirmation is Saturday and his basketball season starts. We'll be busy.

Is that Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge? Always wanted to go try their cedar plank salmon and berry cobbler. Let us know how it is!

Yes it is. I'll be eating light, but will be saving room for the berry cobbler.

Took Jay to the hand surgeon for a follow up yesterday. He's released to go back to work (that's a laugh, since he's been going all along!) and is all healed up. He just has to learn to use that hand in a different way.

I had an appointment with the doctor also. Remember when I fell 14 months ago...November '06? Hurt my wrist? It still hurts and I'm tired of it. The last doctor I saw (also a hand specialist) basically told me to live with it. Jay's doctor thought it would help to have cortisone injections, something about a cyst...so he did two injections, one at the base of the thumb and one at the wrist. He warned me that it would hurt...and he wasn't kidding! But today it is mostly just sore. Worth it, if it works.

So today was back to work day after all the holidays and company. End of the year, taxes.....

Stacey, sounds like y'all are on the mend. Hope things improve with your wrist.

As Sir Scuba responded - yes it is...the cedar plank salmon is mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....so much so I have a hard time selecting any other tempting entrees.

I, am not constrained to ear (or drink) light - so I will have an appetizer, or TWO, entree and a wine flight....

Jim can have my berry cobbler.....

Then there are the heritage items, and the mushroom soup --- yum, yum, yum, yum.....

tonight - leftovers....clean the fridge night....

Hey All, have been so busy lately that Ihaven't had time to check in. Sounds like Virgil's family had a good time in Arizona. Sorry about the OSU loss, was hoping they would pull it out.

We are looking forward to the Dallas game this weekend. Sure hope they show up to play and don't let the giants beat them.

I have just looked at my calendar and I have something going on every weekend now for the next two months. Tomorrow night is the high school all region orchestra. Dale went to Midland last week for the Area competition. He came in 6th chair and they only took the top 3 to State. But, he did move up 5 chairs from last year, so that was a good thing.
Next weekend we drive to Midland for a swim meet, the weekend after that is All-Region Band Concert weekend, then I fly to Houston for a two day meeting, then back home for a 3 day swim meet, then Solo and Ensemble the next weekend, then off to College Station for a prospective freshman student day, then back home for our Border Swim Championships at the end of Feb, then off to the State Championships first of March in Dallas.

We received some good news today. Dale has been accepted to Texas
A & M. This is where he wants to go, and were surprised to get the notification so early. He only submitted his application in December. One of the guys I work with said his son waited 3 months last year to get accepted and that they have several friends that have kids that have applied that haven't heard anything so far. We are thrilled. We can now send in the dorm deposit ($325) to guarantee him a dorm. Last year A&M received something like 26,000 freshman applications and accepted 8,000 new freshmen. We do have to wait until March to find out about any scholarship hopes. Keeping our fingers crossed.

I think I am off to lala land. Ashley has an early practice in the morning and I have had a brutal week at work.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.
