Tried to get on last night, but the pages wouldn't load. :headache: So much for our new server and faster Board.

Anyway, the plane is on time, and Frances and Lauren (SORRY gaRry!) will be here by 10:30 this morning. :woohoo:
Virgil doesn't get here until Wednesday.
Virgil, I hope you gave Frances your credit card!! We're going to have to do some post-birthday shopping. ;)

Dinner???? There will be NO COOKING! We're ready for a fun break.

Jared is doing better. He was talking about practicing baseball on Tuesday with Jay's team, but I reminded him that by then, he'll have steri-strips to keep his wound closed. No baseball!

Will check in later.

I found the same thing Stacey. I think there was a minor hardware problem. Seems to be a bit better today.

Have fun with Frances and Lauren. Where you going to dinner? Claim Jumper?

You can tell they're feeling better when they start wanting to play sports. Is Jay practicing with his team?

Have fun, say hi to Frances!

Back from my parents. Had a good time! Met the new great-nephew. He's a sweetie.
Nothing else going on here except 3 of the 4 of us are viral. Ick.
And did I tell you all that KT got cast in Antigone?

HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY NEW YEAR

gaRRy

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone has a safe and happy New Years Eve. We'll be staying home. In fact I'm home all day as our office is closed.
I'm way behind in my scrapbooking and will be spending most of the day doing that. What am I currently working on? Well this cruise of course (told you I was behind). :lmao:Spent yesterday printing out some pictures and reliving some wonderful memories.

Dinner at JB's, the meet at the Radisson with Garry, sailaway on deck 4, Palo brunch with the 10 day reunion crew, LRC at the Mickey pool. Lot's of laughs and lots of tears. A truly great cruise!

Good Morning All - Happy New Year's Eve to everyone far and wide.....

Here is to a Healthy and Enjoyable New Year to all!!!!

CELEBRATE 2008!!!!!!!!!!

Glad to hear Jared is doing better.

MY FIRST TOP OF THE (almost) NEW YEAR!!!!!

Good morning everyone.

Happy 2008!

Here's hoping it is a great year for everyone!

We ended up with a white New Years as we got snow starting yesterday afternoon. Only main thing on the agenda for today is watching the Rose parade. I love what they do with all the flowers, seeds, etc. on those floats. Then later we'll have our traditional New Years Surf/Turf dinner. This goes back many many years for me as my Mom used to get a gift from her boss every year of filets and lobster tails and that would be our New Years dinner. Mark and I still order from the same place.

I'm not one for resolutions but I have been trying for the last 5 months to work on getting more healthy. I did pretty good at losing some weight but have a long way to go so I've entered the Biggest Loser challenge here on the DIS to help give me some modivation.

HAPPY 2008 EVERYONE!!

Mary, What a wonderful New Year's Tradition your Mom started! :goodvibes Enjoy the parade and your dinner!

Best of luck on your Resolution. pixiedust: You have a 5 month head start -- that's great! :thumbsup2

My Resolution in 2008 is to "de-clutter"!! :headache:

Surf and turf for us too. Prime rib and crab legs. We are trying to make up for hot dogs on Christmas Day.

Congratulations for entering the Biggest Loser Challenge. Hopefully Mark is joining with you because it sure is a lot easier is a family then as an individual.

Mary and those of you in the cold north - stay warm and send Mickey some of your snow clothes....This is from the local Orlando weather station...oh my!!!!

"There will be clouds that are similar to the clouds that are generated in the Great Lakes states when we have lake-effect snow," Local 6 meteorologist Larry Mowry said. "I'm going to call for the possibility of snow flurries early Thursday morning near the coastline."

Mowry said residents in Daytona Beach, Titusville, Palm Bay and Melbourne may see the snow flurries Thursday.

Good morning everyone.

Happy 2008!

Here's hoping it is a great year for everyone!

Mary congratulations on your New Year's resolution. If anything will provide motivation - it is the DIS....and healthy is a good goal, weight loss is a benefit. GOOD LUCK.

I enjoy the Rose Parade, I wish I could see it live someday.....We had a huge block party with fireworks and all on our street...very loosely organized. And the other streets outdid themselves with the midnight displays. WOW....

Yesterday was spent watching the Rose Bowl, and then the Capital One Bowl, (ok, so that was not a good ending) and visiting Friends, and then a little of the Sugar Bowl...love the coach's lei...I was rooting for Hawaii - but did not see the ending...So far, I have a zero record for cheering the winner....does the Ohio mouse family wish for me to back their team (perhaps it would be best not to take sides,,,,then I am neither a jinx nor bad dis-friend????? I will await instructions.... :goodvibes )

My Resolution in 2008 is to "de-clutter"!! :headache:

This was my 2007 resolution.....I decided to de-clutter one room at a time....I kept my resolution....it was 2007 that failed by not providing sufficient days to make it from one end of the house to the other....but did manage a few rooms.....

Sugar Bowl -- Dawgs win!! What do you mean you were rooting for Hawaii, Irene?!!! :scared1: (you obviously don't know how miserable my life would have been when Rachel returns from New Orleans tonight had UGA lost!!! :rotfl2:)

Congrats to the Dawgs! Did Rachel have a good time? We were pulling for all of the SEC teams to win ... even those that we normally dislike during the regular season. Irene, too bad your Gators didn't win yesterday.

Good for everyone that has New Year's resolutions ... and especially good for those of you that keep them! I'm not so good at them. Laura, I should join you in the decluttering but there are just not enough hours in my day ... sigh!

We had a pretty low-key New Year's Eve & day. Neither Bruce nor I were feeling great so we stayed home. The girls did sparklers around 8:00 PM. I was down for the count by 11:00 PM. The girls & I did some shopping yesterday while Bruce watched football.

Hope everyone stays warm. Irene, that would be pretty cool if y'all got to see snow flurries. Some places not too far northeast of us got snow last night but none for us.

Yes, Rachel had TOO good a time!! ;)

Ang, Atlanta actually HAD some snow flurries last night -- only lasted a couple minutes, but 11Alive filmed them and kept showing the same 10 seconds of tape over and over!!!

You can't possibly de-clutter yet -- you have 2 young girls! Having a young family is what I call the "Clutter Years!" :rotfl:
