Oh, that really stinks. Did she apply late or did the passport office screw up? How heartbreaking!

She applied for her daughter's passport in FEBRUARY She's been calling everyday for the past 2 weeks and has even had Congressional intervention (well at least attempted). We all feel so bad for her....

They did on the newest editions of Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean, but not on those locations that have always required a passport like Europe.

Well - the day from hell continues. I'm not sure who upset the travel gods - but enough is enough. We were late getting out of Pittsburgh - we were actually on the runway to take off when a computer went down - went back to the gate - ran to another flight - and then sat on a 20 minute ground delay - and missed the connection in Philadelphia - by five minutes. The first option to fly to London and connect failed as there were only 2 seats on the flight to London. USAirways was initially NO help - so I was using AMEX to make me new reservations. Finally found a supervisor who cared - and here's the plan:
1. We stay the night in Philly.
2. USAirways provides us tranportation to Newark.
3. We fly Lufthansa out of Newark to Frankfut and arrive in Barcelona on Saturday morning.

Needless to say we're tired, with no luggage - but it looks like we might actually make the cruise.

Wow... I actually had some pages to catch up on after being gone for almost a week! I've been back out in St. Louis working on a video-on-demand training curriculum for a few days...

I finally did get to go up in the Arch... pretty cool, though, not being a fan of small enclosed spaces, the ride up felt like an eternity as oppposed to 4 1/2 minutes. Imagine 5 people (in my case, all strangers, as I was travelling alone) in a porta-potty ride 630 feet up...

Delays, delays and more delays on my flight back, though nothing compared to Virgil's mess... Virgil... I'm sure once you're on board, it will all be ancient history! Have a great trip!!!!

All that happened to me was getting stuck in 5:00 traffic...and then gettting lost...

But not to worry ---all I needed to do was head to WDW...I know my way home from there.
