Kiki, nice pictures. Looks like y'all were having fun.

I'm "working" from home today. I say "working" because my laptop crashed. :badpc: :badpc::badpc: Good news is that I search Lenovo's site & it doesn't seem to be hard-drive problem. :cheer2: I know, I know ... I should be doing back-ups. I'm waiting on a charity to pick up furniture. After that I'll head to the office & try putting my hard drive into another laptop of the same model. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!!

Getting our new office furniture tomorrow. We've done a lot of work in 4 days ... painted the room steam cleaned the carpets.

And since the guys did their itineraries...here's ours:

And I just found out about Sharon's weekend plans. The spa called to confirm her and Lisa's appointments for Saturday.

While the boys are out playing cowboy the girls will be Queens of the Spa! :confused3

Since everyone's posting itineraries - I think I'll post a fun and busy summer weekend ...

Wed July 12 - 7:00pm - Arrive in Chicago to visit relatives
Thurs July 13 - Chicago Fire/Houston Dynamo Soccer game
Friday, July 14 - Chicago Cubs vs Houston Astros
Saturday, July 15 - Blue Man Group tickets
Sunday, July 16 - Family and Friends open house
Monday, July 17 - fly home, leaving the kids with the grandparents for two weeks!!! :woohoo:

normal summer weekends:

laundry, cleaning, head to the pool, or the beach, referee whining and bickering kids..

What a great trip! I wish you would not have posted it. It will just make Sharon jealous.

He is ABSOLUTELY CORRECT - I wanted to go on this trip. Especially the week your family was going, but it did not appeal to Jim. He wants to go to the Med in the future, just not on Disney, and just not a cruise. He wants to combine both a land and sea vacation for multiple weeks. That is not going to happen at this point in our life with Matt a year away from college and Lisa's busy gymnastic schedule. I think we are saving this trip for retirement - we watch Mike and Joan's trip schedule with jelousy. They cancelled their world cruise and substituted 3 other cruises (one to the Caribbean, one to Alaska, and one to the Med.)

Ah, yes. Lots of things we want to do when we "retire"....if we aren't too old to to them! That's what we get for having kids in our thirties. Jay & I, anyway.:sad2:

Stacey, you & Jay aren't the only ones. Bruce & I didn't get married until I was almost 31 & he was almost 34. I think I was almost 33 & almost 35 when I had the girls.

I am right there with you. Since I had Matt at 31 and we adopted Lisa when I was 35, I figure we can start retirement as soon as Lisa graduates from college (9 years from now). Come on College Scholorships - let me retire 4 years earlier. Just kidding.:rotfl: :rotfl:

Matt and I are out of here. :woohoo:

What timing... Scuba leaves town, and a new wine shop opens!!! Just stopped in to their grand opening... lots of wine to taste, food, etc... neat little place... looks like it could be a good hang-out!!!!!!

For those of you into family history - ancestry.com has archived military records from the National Archives, and is making them available through their website free of charge until June 6.

I'm having fun researching some family history, finding 1910 census records, my grandfather's WWI Military Draft Registration, and my aunts WWII draft registration...I even found the passenger list from the ship John's grandfather sailed on when he immigrated and pictures of the ship, too...

That's WHY they opened today. They knew he'd be gone. Otherwise he wouldn't share with the other patrons! ;)

Awesome! I'll let Jay know, too.

ancestry.com says Mike doesn't exist.

hmmm....this opens up a world of possibilites! :lmao:

but I found MY family.....and several great great greats ago I have ancestors with names like Diewertjas Schoon and Pieter Havik and Hendrick Bult and Hillegonda Ridder.

No idea Dutch was in my ancestry. Cool.

Again, Mike doesn't exist. ;)

Good morning!

I really wasn't expecting the house painter to show up today. Here I am in my nightgown with my coffee...and all the blinds open..... He moved his ladder, so I quickly ran to close the blinds.
At least they covered the window in the shower with paper yesterday, so I can go take my shower and get ready for the MINI MEET WITH PAM and family! :yay:

This one's for Ashley

I WANT
I WANT
I WANT
ONE
gaRRy

I knew you would! They do SELL the ones whose coloring and markings aren't exactly up to hitch specifications... gotta have 4 white boots and a white blaze... if not, they get sold... for a pretty hefty price, so I'm told.
