Quick update.....I'm still doing gym duty because Matt took Sharon to the Hospital. She will be there for a day or so.

Sharon was still not well this morning. Of course I had not seen her in 24 hours because I'm running Lisa. She tried to get up and go to work, but ended up with her head on the counter.

Matt took her to the doctor who admitted her to the hospital. Glad I have a son that can drive. Not sure what the issues are, but think she just needs fluids and drugs.

I'm going to try and see her before leaving for the gym.

GYM RULES!!

Sad, but true. Lisa has a meet on Saturday and Sharon wants her at the gym.

The neighbors are feeding Matt.

Life goes on between trying to work, getting Sharon's car fixed from her accident (more hidden damage), having the house painted, 6 guys spending Thursday and Friday night with us, going to Tampa on Saturday, Matt going to something on Saturday with the school.........it's probably best that she stays in the hospital for a few days or Virgil needs to come down and take care of her.

Pam, my head is spinning, don't know if I'm coming or going....
but all of a sudden it dawned on me that you might not have gotten your answer.....

Wheeling, WV is in the panhandle of WV....smooshed between Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Ok, off to rehearsals......Nick goes from 5-10 tonight. With travel time that means 4:20-10:40! Ugh.

I joined the ranks of "bad mom" and did the walk of guilt into the nurse's office this afternoon. I got home around 2:30 (no school messages) returned a phone call and then talked with two other friends. It seemed as if the minute I disconnected with one the phone would ring again.

4:05 the phone rings-school ends at 4:00 - 1st bad mom moment when the secretary identifies herself from the intermediate school - my first thought was "oh great - Mike's in trouble - this was my first school call - but, I can't help but thinking he was in trouble.

Mike is in the nurse's office with a 101 temp, red eyes, chills, and just sobbing. They didn't want to send him home on the bus - the nurse would have driven him home if she couldn't reach me - John works 45 minutes away...

The whole 10 minute drive to school - I'm muttering "bad mom, bad mom" for being on the phone for 1 1/2 hrs feeling very guilty because we don't have call waiting. Turns out he went to the nurse's office at 3:45 - she hadn't been trying that long. So, my conscious is eased a bit.

Poor guy - he started feeling sick around 2nd period - but it's midterms and tried to tough it out. He'll have to make up tomorrow's exam - no biggie, I hope.

Is it wrong that I'm sitting in this nice Greek restaurant eating rabbit and enjoying wine while my wife is in the hospital?

I did not think so either!!!

I saw her for a few minutes before leaving for gym. She was a wake and looking better. She is still very sick because she does not thinkshe will be able to go to the meet on Saturday.

I'm hoping they will keep her for two days. She needs the time to get stronger.

Now I'm off to the Mother Ship to by paint. Exciting

She will swim on Friday and Saturday, then we are driving the rental car back to El Paso (about 10 hour drive). We wil will have Sunday to get things washed up and repacked before we leave for our 7 a.m. flight to Orlando on Monday morning. Note to self: Never book a big vacation near state swim meet.

Will try to check in while we are in Austin. Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

She will swim on Friday and Saturday, then we are driving the rental car back to El Paso (about 10 hour drive). We wil will have Sunday to get things washed up and repacked before we leave for our 7 a.m. flight to Orlando on Monday morning. Note to self: Never book a big vacation near state swim meet.

Long Day yesterday but all is well with Mother, they were able to remove all the cancer cells with the Mohs procedure.

Sam says I cannot call her Frankenstein.......off to take her to her follow-up check-up....
