5/27/06 "Il pochi il fiero i blabbermouths" We *will* sail again Part 11

We picked October because that's when we had met two years earlier and began dating. And because of Columbus day, I would get an extra day off work. At that time, the bank I worked for would only give me one day for my own wedding!
That's one reason why we were just married in a judge's chambers.

Now I'm glad it worked out that way, because when we did our vow renewal in Key West, I got to share it with some of my DIS friends!

I LOVE the Halloween bears. And both of them (the kids) have really grown, just since May. Wow.

Hi everyone,

Hate to write this bad news on such a happy page of great pics of the kids, but I wanted to let you all know that Augie's father has lost his battle with stomach cancer. He passed away on Wednesday, October 4th. It was a blessing because he was really having a hard time for the past 2 weeks. Very compatible and irritable.

Thank you for all your prayers, pixie dust and well wishes. Augie is taking it pretty hard. His father was the last parent/grandparent that we had and he was very close to his father. We chose to celebrate his LIFE, not his death. That's what it's all about, right? Get busy living, or get busy dying.

Like I said, thanks again for all your prayers.

Hugs and prayers to you and Augie. I'm happy his Dad is now out of pain and in a better place but we are never really prepared to lose a loved one, especially a parent. I will remember him at Mass this morning.
