I have to rant about this it's such a bummer to have bad neighbors.

Our neighbors have about 20 people living in their house and people are coming a going all hours of the day and night. They let their kids do anything, they throw trash in the street and our yard. When we got our new windows a few weeks ago the baby came over to our yard while the guys where working on getting the plate glass down from the second story and where were the parents? The guys had to stop and go over to their house and ask them to keep the baby off our property since there was broken glass around. This goes to show how neglent the parents are. The kids play soccer on the side of the yard where our property lines meet so they are constantly on our property and kicking the ball into my truck and our cars. Today, I was actually sitting in my truck and whomp! the ball smacks into the back of the truck. I roll down my window and ask they to play ball on their property since they are always hitting my truck and cars. I have not made a big deal about it before but when I asked them to stop they responded with why don't you move your cars and started to have an attitude with me? I was so ticked I was like you expect me to move my cars from my OWN property so you can play soccer? I don't think so!!!! Where do they get off telling me that, the nerve!! This is just the tip of the iceburg. The rest of our neighborhood is great this is the only house in our development I have issues with. All the neighborhood kids(except our neighbor in question) come to our house to play on the swing set and they play in the cul-de-sac(we have a corner lot). What's worse we only have 35 houses in our development. If this continues I guess I will have to call the county about the amount of people they have living in their house.

Well, thanks for listening. If you have any comments to share let me know.

Tough one because they can make it even more miserable if you get tough, but you do have the right to enjoy your own property.

Our HOA has restrictions on rentals. By chance might they be renting against the rules?

Our resident DIS attorney might have some ideas.

Bad Neighbours are tough because we all want to get along...but then there is a limit. Do you know anything about the family? By chance did they open their home to Katrina refugees? (Always good to know if there is "another side of the story!, before you become a headline - local Disser kicks out refugees....kinda ruins your morning")

You live in N. Virgina - Jim lives in Florida - the land use restrictions may vary greatly. Do you have a Home Owners Association? If so, checking the documents like Jim suggested is a good idea. You can also ask the Association to assit, with other neighbours. If the bad behaviour is not limited to your lot.

I am trying to remember whe we were last there if I saw signs about "deed restricted" communities. In such areas, the restrictions may be for "single" families only. Then you need to know the defitnition of a single family - sometimes relatives count....If not, then you are left with the local County regulations. Many counties post these on the internet so you could review before you meet with the staff.

I gotta give the contractors a thumbs up :thumbsup2 for taking action to prtoect the baby. Not theat he should have needed to but it shows he is responsible.

Do you know your other neighbors - any chance of getting them to back you up???then it is not one neighbor against another.......

Lets hope there will be some more comments on how to resolve this mess!

Better not take nail polish remover, or hair dye - peroxcide and acetone are on the list...

:grouphug: Believe me, I can HONESTLY say ...."I know how you feel."

Mike and I have been married 15 yrs.
In those 15 yrs we've lived in 4 different places.
In those 4 different places we've had MULTIPLE MULTIPLE BAD neighbors.

From the guy who called the police on us and the police responded with rifles (and cocked them as I opened the door.)
To the ppl who left their large dog unattended in their townhome for a WEEK.
To the guy who ran over our mailbox when he was drunk one night (we watched it) and then stood there clueless the next day (while his wife inspected the black mailbox-shaped dent on the back of the SUV.
To the ppl who let their dog poop all over our yard and after reapeated times of asking them nicely they BLEW A GASKET when I called the dog warden.
To those same ppl who abused their puppy and it turned agressive.....and then would growl at US when we were in our own house! (or circle us while we were in the pool.
To those same ppl whose FIVE yr old would flip us off and sling shot rocks at our vehicles and house.

Oh, I could go on and on and on. Not until about a year ago did we finally get surrounded by GOOD neighbors. (probably shouldn't say that, I'll jinx it!) But, literally, I could write a book filled with all the "Crazy-neighbor" stories I have!!!

:tinker:Good morning cruisers :tinker:

Happy Thursday!

Continued prayers for all who need them and for the world in general based on the news out of England this morning. :sad2:

Codos to the governemnts for disrupting the terror plot in Britian.

Extra patience for all of you traveling as the terror level has been raised.....

TSA inspectors will be on edge - so maybe it is better not to try to bring us back a pizza and beer....."Due to the nature of the threat revealed by this investigation, we are prohibiting any liquids, including beverages, hair gels, and lotions from being carried on the airplane."

Ladies - check your purses....I always have a small lotion in the backpck.

What about prescription drugs - lotions, insuline, eye drops, etc??? No idea.....no news (baby formula - ok if a parent drinks it - yucky!) but prescriptions inside the US?????

Mary - I started a thread about the shuttle launch in July - it is over now...should I close it? delete it? ignore it? what is the posting ettiquite?

ack! Just remembered.....My second cousins and their new baby are coming to WDW and to visit mother Sept 1st....Oh my, she will be a nervous wreck until then......

Hmmm.....good thing the cruise is over of they'd had to have confiscated all that WINE!!

Just read about this threat.

And, local interest story, read about the Maurice Clarett case. Did ya all hear he was involved in a high speed chase with police and when they found him he was uncooperative. They tasered him, but it had no effect.....seems like he was wearing body armor. ANd had loaded weapons in the car with him including an assult rifle. Oh, and a 1/3 full bottle of vodka. AND.....he was within 1 mile of where the KEY WITNESS to his January armed robbery lived!!! :earseek:

Has anyone responded to it lately or did it fall off the first page? Usually posts are just left us to fade away. We really only delete the problem ones.

I never said cruising was a bad deal...

Though Sandals IS all-inclusive... including ALL tips, ALL meals and ALL "beverages"... plus, if we're comparing apples to apples, this room would be somewhere around a Cat 3, as opposed to our Cat 9... ocean view, concierge, 'full' 24 hour room service and constantly stocked in-room bar... hmm... sounds like I'll find more than one creative way to get my $'s worth.

.....leading to the inevitable "Old posts never die, they just fade away..."

Thanks - no. No posting after the shuttle launced...
