I can't believe that Cars is coming out on DVD already! Emily asked for it the other day & I told her that it would probably be a while before it comes out on DVD ... what do I know? :confused3

They are only taking pre-orders... it's still not available for 3 more months... release date is Nov 7... I'm sure they want to capitalize on the Christmas frenzy, and not wait til spring to release it to video.

Never mind... Mark was posting at the same time I was...

(I know what Christopher is getting for Christmas!!!!)

Mary/Mark,

Any update on the photo DVDs? I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of mine.

ME TOO!!!!
I'm expecting mine to get here around 7pm on Friday. :)

Anybody stayed at Sandals Dunn's River??? Ray's best friend is getting married there in April... we just booked our trip yesterday... (5 days for two of us for the same price as it cost for 4 of us to cruise for 7 days... ouch... but Ray's 40th birthday will fall during that trip, so it eliminates the surprise cruise that I wanted to do... oh well)

So now I have something to look forward to!!!

Nov 7th is a little while. DVD releases are getting closer to theatrical releases than they used to be.

Sorry I havn't been very visible. Work's been keeping me very occupied.

I have all the prep work done, just have to get it together on the dvd rom, then package and ship. I'd say the weekend except for the road trip being there. Won't be much longer.

Nov. 7th is still a little while but months fly by for me lately.

Thanks for all of the work you're doing on the DVDs Mark! There's really no rush, I'm just ready to relive the cruise through eveyone else's lenses.

No answers for your questions. Just wanted to say that I thought of you the other day when reading the main board. There are rumors about DCL doing Bermuda in '08.

A U.T.O.P. with KikiKaren and DCL '08 rumors.

We'll almost definitely be doing Bermuda in '08 (but I'm still hanging out here til you guys all kick me out...)... but I'm sure it won't be DCL, as we'll be cruising from NYC or Boston. My parents only celebrate their 50th anniversary once... gotta go with the flow on that one.

I'd have to echo the "no rush" then I'd actually have to sit down and put them in an album. This way, without the disc, I don't feel guilty about waiting until I get all the pictures!!! Considering I still haven't put our 2005 Washington DC trip into an album, I'm a bit behind...

The kids had sleepovers last night as the last fling before school starts. Our good friends have kids the same age so, the girls went to one house and the boys at ours. The boys surfaced away from the computer and Nintendo only for food - I think I got the better end of the deal. In a weaker moment, I told the boys they were in charge of their own bedtime. Had a change of heart about 11:00 - and to my suprise, the boys were already in bed sound asleep!

yesterday, I took Mike over to the intermediate school - he practiced and practiced opening his locker and then followed his schedule finding his classrooms. Normally, they try to keep the 6th graders self-contained in their own wing with the exception of music, lunch and PE but, he is in 7th grade math and advanced science so, he does have to negotiate stairs and the other various parts of the building. Of course, he didn't want to be seen with mom, so he was about 1/2 a hallway ahead of me at all times... :lmao:

In a fleeting moment of hope that things will not be buried in the nether-regions of his locker never to be seen again, we went to target and got him some organizational things for his locker like a magnetic pencil cup and a magazine file holder for his folders.

We bought the basic supplies but, he will receive teacher specific lists tomorrow on the first day of school. So, I will have to jump into the madhouse of last minute school supply shopping. I wish the teachers would leave an envelope of supply lists outside their classrooms and as the kids tour the school, pick up schedules and books, they can also pick up the lists. Same goes for purchasing PE uniforms...

Maggie's happy; she found out who her teacher will be and who the kids are in her class. She has several of her friends in her class - so, she's thrilled. With eight classes per grade level - the kids get jumbled every year... We will do a lemonade social and meet the teachers this afternoon.

My 9 month vacation starts tomorrow :dance3: :cool1:

I'm still trying to pin down a start date for school....
KT has asked twice to start school, but they've been so busy with stuff that I' not starting it only to do it for a day or two and then take a week break.

Could start next week but would have to work around various and sundry orthodontist, dentist, and vet appointments. Then the next week they are camping with my parents---unless they get into the play they are auditioning for and then they will probably DAY camp with my parents and do rehearsals every evening (camping would be 30 minutes WEST of me, rehearsals are 30 minutes EAST of me---at the price of gas this will only cost me about $1,400 more than any normal month!) :earseek:

ooohhhhh - must go look and see..

Bermuda is good for diving......yes??? Kevin?????

tiki bars too......

Since we are going to Alsaka in 2007, I hope the Magic does not go to Alaska in 2008....or, I guess, I could wait on booking 2007 until Sept. They will not let us book HAL with points yet.

What to do, what to do.

Mary - you know these things...help....

Disnurse asked "what should we do on Cozumel? Honest, here. I have heard not such great things about it still. Remember, we are not divers and have the kid -lets to tag along. Has anyone heard good things about the Fury Cat Beach and Snorkel?

We are also thinking on booking a speed boat beach trip (non Disney).
Thanks, DIS NURSE :sunny:"

She posted on our live thread and I suggested that she check some of your trip reports.....but any ideas would be helpful......Thanks....
I'd be careful of lumpy sand tho......... :rolleyes1 You never know what those cats have been doing!
