Less souvenirs for me, so I can pay DCL for my Banfi.

Our bag is packed, the DVD is made, we have our maps. As soon as Mark gets back from spending a few hours at work tomorrow we are on the road to Ohio!

I've never know anyone to be excited about going to Ohio.....only about leaving. After all, OH comes to Florida for her vacation....she doesn't stay in Ohio.

I fly to NC on Friday....hopefully they will have settled down by then. I guess I won't be carrying a bottle of wine with me!

I haven't tried Cappy's pizza - the taste testers will have to see how it stacks up against Chicago style Pizza - (which in my opinion is the best.... ) It's gonna be hard to beat Uno's or Gino's Pizza...

I'm with you on that. I love Gino's Pizza.

When we lived in East Lansing I had to drive to Chicago for work every once in a while. I would go downtown and buy some Gino's to bring back across the state line.

The first time I bought 6 frozen pizzas. The company car was a small stationwagon and I had to drive 4 hours with the smell of pizza, but could not eat them because they were frozen. It was torture!

The next time I bought 5 frozen and 1 baked. The 4 hour drive was an eating bliss!!

Then there was that time I flew from FL to Indy for a meeting. I had a day free so rented a car and drove the 6 hours to Chicago for a pizza. I called Sharon from Gino's. Then got in the car and drove 6 hours back to the hotel.

I love Gino's pizza!!!

Yes, it's Friday night and we are sitting here at the gym.

Sharon and I had dinner and a couple glasses of wine (well, I did). I knew it was going to be an exciting dinner when Sharon brought out the calendar so we could up date it with all the travel/events until year end.

I should not complain. This is the only night I get to see my wife during the week! It's better than nothing!

Just took Mike to his favorite restaurant, a chinese buffet. Poor guy he had a rough day today - he got his classes mixed up and went to PE instead of Social Studies. The teachers were very understanding but, Jr. high kids were not...

John and I shared our still-reoccuring nightmares...mixed up classes, realizing it's final exam week and you haven't attended a single class, can't get your locker open, missed a final exam, etc...

Interesting you should mention that one... I had that dream at least once a week, every week, for the 9 years between the time I graduated from college and the time I started grad school... I figured that subconsciously, I knew that I just wasn't 'done' with school yet. When it starts happening again, its time to get going on my doctorate... but hopefully not any time soon... I don't have time for that right now.

Except - Lisa is not in that class anymore. She had to move to Ms. Scott's class. Lisa did not want to move, but her brother convinced her that moving back into Advanced Science would be best for her future. Of course, because it was advice from her brother whom she adores, she did it.

Oh, well. I haven't talked to Elizabeth much about school- she's been at the field for cheer practice every night. Besides, she isn't saying much about school... she's not too thrilled that she's got intensive math & intensive reading (she'd be mortified that I TOLD someone)... but I'm trying to help her realize that its best for her.

Matt is currently thinking of becoming a teacher. I think he would be very good at that - he certainly as already heard (or given) every excuse in the book. Seriously, I am hoping for great things from him this year (it's a new year and a Mom can always dream!!!!)

Matt would make a great teacher! I would love to get back into teaching if I had more time... but I love what I'm doing now, and I can't do everything. I figure I'll go back to teaching when I want to slow down... probably when the kids are in college.

Ray *might* start substitute teaching for the County... his new job will NOT fill 40 hours a week (must be nice), so if the track doesn't keep him part time, he needs something to do... he's always wanted to teach, and had a phys. ed minor/certification in college. He certainly spends enough time coaching kids... I'm sure he can deal with them in a classroom setting, too.

Kiki, I always had teachers named "Coach". Ray is a natural, he should do that.

School started yesterday, we have to go tomorrow morning and get the schedule fixed. So far, Alicia loves French, Physics, Algebra II (well, the teacher anyway), and her Ballet class. The new ballet teacher already has them working hard, this will be good for her.

Got a call from DVC today, our wait list for December came through. We got a one bedroom at BCV, yay! Then Alicia told me today that she really wants to go to a weekend workshop convention with the choreographers from "So You Think You Can Dance". Most kids that dance want to go see the tour of the finalists from the show, mine wants to go take workshops from the judges/choreographers. We're going to try, but not sure we can do that AND go to WDW before Christmas. Need more money.

Must go over to the 11 day cruise thread and see what everyone is planning to do about wine. Wonder if we can ship some? They charge like $45 or so for Banfi on the ship, don't they? Yikes!

Yup, they made it! They enjoyed their Cappy's pizza and we spent a good long time watching the DVD that Mark made.

DISclaimer - this is based on a June 7, 2008 sailing. Actual sail date to be determined once DCL announces their 2008 schedule. Maybe it will be an Eastern - maybe it will be somewhere special. We have to wait and see.
