Amanda -- how many of you are going?? If it were just you and your husband I would say definitely Boardwalk. If you are taking the kids, OKW is bigger and it has 2 queen size beds. The ones at BWV have a queen size and a sleeper sofa.

See, I think this is where I got confused before. It seemed (seems?) like this is only for those participating by adding to the dvd.... what if you don't have anything to add? I mean we never even got pictures of anyone else- just us... and most of which are shown in my trip report anyway besides photos taken by DCL- are people scanning those pictures onto a CD and sending it to you plus $5 to get the "combined" dvd back? Why am I so confused? I need more sleep me thinks.

You think we want pictures of your FAMILY? Heck no!! But maybe, just maybe you got a shot of the ship that someone else didn't get!! Kidding! ALL WDW pictures and DCL pictures are fun to look at even if they are of someone else.

KAREN/Pam other DVCers... do you prefer OKW studio or Boardwalk studio? I am planning my AUG trip to get my mind off my money and my money off my mind Nothing like spending money to do that eh? LOL Actually because of what happened, I am going to cancel my free dining package@ POP (booked b4 we bought DVC) and just use points and eat ramen noodles every day, breakfast lunch and dinner

I've never stayed at the Boardwalk. We'd like to someday.
Also, I've never stayed in a studio at OKW, but I LOVE OKW as a resort, so I'd think the studio would be fine.

Julia - we're going to Murrells Inlet/Myrtle Beach this August for the 1st time. Do you have any advice on what to/not to miss there? Anybody else have any kind words?

We really just relax at the pool most of the week, we always go to the fireworks at broadway on the beach shopping mall which is an outdoor mall and really nice. Lots of minature golf, I also take the kids to the family kingdom amusement park but otherwise it's just relaxing.

I'm just TELLING Pam we're going on her cruise. If I tell her we changed to YOUR cruise she'll probably follow me over to that one. She's definitely a stalker. Did you know that after the cruise we went to WDW and she hung out with us nearly every day???? She's taking this stalking thing a bit far!!! So I'm telling her I'm going on "her" cruise, but I'm REALLY going on "your" cruise. This stalking thing is really creepy!!! This is just between us, ok??? Shhhhh

Ok it is going to be some of the kids and I.Dh is staying home (party pooper) what is he too good for ramen noodles?? I have always wanted to stay at boardwalk ..isnt this where stormalong bay is? Or do I have my DVC confused with my P-O-O-L-S?? or my PAP's? (which I also renewed today BTW thank God for credit cards and no more tissue paper for us! There are plenty of good leaves in the backyard) ( Can you tell I am using humor to get thru my anger? Just in case it is not self evident?)

I use humor for lots of stuff....frustration, love, hate, anger, disappointment, sadness, worry, paranoia, happiness......

It's my end-all-be-all emotional patch. And cheaper than Zoloft!

I don't think the homeschooling will go over well for his last year in high school. Not sure I could keep up with him anyway

Ashley wanted to call KT tonight when she got home from swimming, but it was already after 9 your time. Tomorrow she is going to swimming early, then band then off to a friends for a birthday party/sleepover. I won't even get to see her again after swimming tomorrow until I pick her up Wednesday morning for our dentists appointment. So anyway, tell KT she will catch up with her sometime Wednesday

Beg to differ with you on the pool slide. I like OKW's better. Don't get me wrong....Boardwalk's was fun....but they need smoother seams. I kept getting caught on each and every seam....thump thump thump thump....maybe it was my big ol' rump!

Not trying to confuse you, just trying to inform. I have stayed at all the DVC properties except for Wilderness Lodge. Each of them have their own individual strong and weak points. For this trip if it is you and the kids, I would definitely stay at Boardwalk. Just a little more convenient and more things going on.

P.S. thanks for sticking up for me. You know how that Karen can be Shhh!

Too funny. My first thought, upon reading Monica's post, was that she needed a studfinder. What is it? A universal MAN thing? B/c what you describe is EXACTLY what Mike did when we first got a studfinder!!

Fess up, Kevin....ever use a studfinder to find yourself?

OKW's may be smoother, but it is also way shorter, don't you think?? Our kids thought OKW's was "lame" in their words
