To many clothes on the rod? To much shopping? :lmao:

Ummm....yeah.....:guilty: and I'm paying for it all over again.

Still not done. I had to come sit for a minute, though. I swear, unless I lose like a hundred pounds, I am not buying any more clothes. :sad2:

Jay is enjoying his Father's Day. He's planted in front of the TV watching shows like "The World's Toughest Jobs" and "Mega-Structures". whoo hoo. And he's looking forward to a nice dinner out....Chinese food.

Along with the closet, I am doing :laundy: :laundy:

In my next life, I want to be a MAN.

I was just browsing the 11 night thread and someone mentioned that it's Paul McCartney's 64th birthday. Someone else posted "Will you still feed me, will you still need me, when I'm sixty-four". Had to chuckle.....obviously, the answer is "NO". :lmao: see....his new wife has left him.......never mind....

I feel bad for Paul. If he had married me, which was my fondest dream at age 12, I'd still feed him.

I broke down and went to the movie. Not sure what my problem is, but movies are not as amusing lately as I would like them to be. Do you think it's PCD?

Making Paella tonight, need to go check the recipe, so I can send someone to the store. At least I'm not doing laundry! (sorry, Stacey)

The longest bar in my closet broke right after we got home from the cruise. I've been living with clothes piled everywhere until Jay could make a new one, and our carpenter friend could make new support brackets.
So I've been going through and throwing things away. I decided it was about time. My criteria for disposal:
1. If I haven't worn it in 19 years (we moved in in 1987) then it goes.
2. If it won't fit on my pinkie finger, then it goes.
3. If I never wore it because it was ugly, and time hasn't made it any more attractive, then it goes.

Five large trash bags and counting.

When we were having our new closet built, I hated having everything piled up. I know what you are going through, but it sounds like you are doing it right! It is time though for me to go through and weed out again. Of course, I think I will wait until fall when it is cooler. The closet gets a little hot, even with a ceiling fan and a floor fan in there.

The closet is done...basically. Jay came in and asked me if I was going to clean off the shelves. Yes...someday. Or maybe HE'D like to do those.
144 articles of clothing went into bags. And that's just pants, shirts and sweaters...not little stuff.
Eventually, I'll do my drawers too. Does this count as exercise??

T.O.P. !

I'm right with you girlfriend...remember - I'm coming back as a man for sure, but the best job has to be a meteorologist. Yup, that's for me.

Sure has been pretty quiet here today. Some people must have gotten to do some fun stuff today. We were pretty quiet today, went to church, went to fuddrucker's and to Target and Best Buy. Ashley got new bedding and accessories for her room today. My MIL had given her twin beds during the spring and we never bought new bedding because we didn't see anything that she or I both could agree on. Well today, we bought. It is really cute, kinda a surfer theme with hibiscus flowers. SHe is happy and that is what counts. Charley is eyeing a new grill at Target, so I may be taking back the stuff I bought him for Father's Day so he can get a new grill. I told him he couldn't haved both (lol).

Doesn't look like anyone's awake, so I'm gonna head to bed. My eyes are burning and tomorrow will be here before you know it. Thanks again for all the well wishes. It was an alright day. My little guys got me a real nice pair of earings for my birthday. I love those guys.

And on that note, goodnight to all.

That sounds like what I'd pick, if I were her age. I bet it's cute.

Jared finally got his room cleaned up, so now we can buy his new bed. Funny, 'cause I was just thinking about needing to buy new sheets & such.....

hey Stacey- come to my house. I had to clean everything in every room in a week and a half. House is starting to look good. Or at least it will when the floors get in again. Even found another helicopter that I put in dumpster quickly. Exercise in the closet you bet it is. I need a cruise.

Hello everyone

I've been busy getting Bryce ready to be gone for 5 weeks. He's on Catalina Island - Kevin keep an eye out for him..........I told him he should make buddies of the dive staff there :teeth: Alan drove him out yesterday afternoon (no, not all the way to the island). Bryce was on an 11:15am boat to Catalina this morning and then Alan headed home. He made it in just under 6 hours. Not a particularly thrilling fathers day. I did have some cold beer and onion dip waiting for him when he got back :thumbsup2

Shane leaves this coming Saturday for only 1 week. Too bad we don't have any money left for just the two of us to go away

I like the idea of a do-over too but we'll have to see. Shane graduates in 2008 and I think I mentioned already he thinks he's going to spend two months travelling across Europe. If that's the case, it would make the cost of the cruise less :goodvibes

I unpacked the last suitcase tonight finally. Tomorrow maybe I'll get all the bags up in the closet.

Also in the next few days I need to look at our pictures. I know we didn't take very many but I'd like to contribute some. Did anyone see that huge grouper that hangs out under the far snorkel lifegaurd stand? I got a picture of it with a disposable underwater camera. Hopefully it will come out o.k. I did manage to get the camera dropped off - just not picked up yet.

Hey Stacey, what are you going to do with your "stuff"? If you're not sure yet I have a suggestion. I have a friend who is a breast cancer survivor (14 months past treatment). She and 4 of her family members are doing the 3 day walk this fall. They are having a yard sale as one of their fundraisers. They have to raise $2500 each. I'd be happy to get it from you - only if you don't already have plans for it!

We need to schedule a post cruise lunch!

and have a movie planned for this afternoon. "Nacho Libre", sounds right up his alley, doesn't it? .

We went Friday night for Bryce's farewell. What did you think? I'm not a Jack Black fan - even so I was disappointed. His other choice was Two Fast Two Furious III (not sure if it has a name - something about Tokyo). We would have had to wait til 10:25 pm to see that though. Oh well.

How'd that paella turn out?
