Stacy,'I just recalled that I never got my bag back from you. I think I shall have to wait at the pier on the 16th, meet you on the 17th...and seeing as I will have missed my ship (Magic) I will therefore need to board your ship(Wonder) with you..so I will see you then..............(looking over my shoulder to see if she bought it)

You could do that....with all those people, do you think any CM's would notice just one more???

And btw....you told me on the ship that you didn't want the bag back. Are you being an Indian-giver??? (no disrespect meant to anyone of Native American heritage)

I am reaching for straws here one how to get on the 11 dayer instead of the 7 dayer....dont take me excuse away by reminding me I said dont worry about it!!!!!!!!:-)

Okay, so I have to bank my pts by May bc I have a DEC use year.....if I bank in May all pts , then decide in Sept that I want to head down for a few days, can I get some pts back??

You can't get them back, but you can borrow some from next year. This has probably already been answered.

That must have been the Tamaya Resort in Bernalillo! It is pretty!! We havn't eaten there yet, but that might be nice!!

Pam, I think it's the only resort in the area that shows up on Priceline. I have heard it comes up there, you might want to check it out. Try the Bidding for Travel website.

Yeah, I'm behind. And my above comments are no longer applicable. I'll try again tomorrow.

I'd love to do back to back cruises. Better go check and see if I won Powerball tonight...

Pam, the Tamaya is the only resort in the area that has anything special for the pool. The ones here in town are just little round pools, as far as I'm aware. The nicest one is probably the Marriott at mid-town.

Good Morning All - what a beater yesterday wasy - finally home and crashed. Up early today to get the jungle under control...then must go grocery shopping for Mother....but since it was friday, I presume you all were chatty and have totally planned out the next crise.

when do I start packing? But first Coffeee.....

We wouldn't need anything. Here's what we'd do:

Order from room service the night before....cheese, crackers, etc
Make sure everyone has sodas, drinks, etc
Have an iPod and speakers handy

Find a spot where no one will bother us...even if it's a stairwell.......

PARTY till the shrimp comes in!!

party: party:

Hey - a perfect time for a mini meet in Stacey's suite.......

I really like the way you think, Stacey! Really.
(taking notes. Except I'll add a book- maybe it would be the ONLY time I'd get a chance to read a book. Do you know I brought 3 books with me on the last cruise and didn't read a WORD? Didn't even take them out of the duffle bags that had our "junk" in them. To be fair I did a lot of writing in my journal and some time online too- but not a word read in my books. I never even sat in one of the loungers on the decks. What's that about? hello? vacation but never relaxing? Maybe that's why my feet were so swollen. Ya think? LOL)

Speaking of books, I brought books but we never really planned the book eschange - another meet would be perfect for that.....

BibbidyBobbidyBoo said:
Which brings up the thought- I wonder how swollen my feet can get in TWO weeks? I don't even want to think about it. LOL

Preggers? Don't blame me - Kevin started it and besides...there was all that talk about souveniers............. :rotfl:

How about Mickey Mouse in Golf attire - a mulligan - aka do-over...no-no-no - you can't do that to Scoopie......cry-cry - stomp feet.

cute door sign thought!

Good morning everyone!

Wow now we are talking two cruises - we are definately out for that. No way we could afford that much time or money.

I'm really hoping we can as a group agree on one date and that is the date that this thread stays for. If it doesn't work (say the group goes for a Western and we want an Eastern) than we'd move to another thread. I can't see how it would work to try and keep the thread for two different weeks. It wouldn't be fair to all the other cruisers who are sailing those two weeks. Sorry just trying to be the voice of reason.

Those of you who want to do both enjoy - but I think you will need two groups of people to coordinate things for you. KWIM?

I think Scoopie would enjoy that - Maggie may want to come along as his guardian - don't think there a travel policy for unaccompanied cones... ;)

Are you up for another round of travel agent for Scoopie.....If so, Hedgie will be glad to corrupt him for Food and Wine again......We will need his ears.......
Maggie is sooo cute, I'd love her for a weekend...but a whole week,,,,,welll...She cannot miss school - can she?

Someone should have a cute picture of her and Scoopie and Hedgie - I think it might be on Kevin's pics.

While I'm posting I might as well address one thing that Amanda brought up.

Yes there was a group brunch in Palo, and no it wasn't an open invitation. This wasn't meant to exclude anyone or to hurt anyone's feelings. Very early on in the process (I'm thinking January or February of 2005 I had sent an e-mail to Stacey suggesting a reunion brunch of those 10 day cruisers who were sailing with us.

You see setting up a group brunch at Palo is very very hard when you have a group this large. The private room only seats 14 (which means 7 couples) and while on the 10 day we were able to secure another table outside for an additional 10 people I think it led to lots of hurt feelings. From those who didn't get on the list early enough to those who were at the outside tables vs. inside (not everyoneone but a few).

So my suggestion to Stacey was let's just have this one little thing for the 10 dayers and then everything else as a big group. So that is what we did with Stacey's help.

Of course we didn't publicize it because we didn't want any hurt feelings. At any time anyone else could have stepped up and organized a group brunch but they didn't.

So hopefully that will clear things up. Again I'm sorry if anyone's feelings were hurt by this, that wasn't the intention. The only goal of it was to have 13 people who had cruised together before and who were split between early and late seating to have one meal together and catch up. Also as the fates would have it Virgil found out that morning that GaRry's insurance had been approved so the first toast of the meal was to GaRry and his future health.

I hope you all understand.

Not only do we understand it was a hoot to see the 10 dayers when we were sitted........and then they hogged all the food (just teaasing)....we were all taking pictures of each other, the cruise staff thought we were one of those family reunion groups......

Which is what is so much fun with the Dis -- somethings we like together- others we don't but we all can enjoy!!!!

Weeeeeee......

I'd be willing to make the markers for the tables ... maybe with the help of some of the creative people for the design.

Can I also suggest doing any beer/wine/martini tastings as a group? Bruce & I did the beer tasting alone... well, with each other. It would have been more fun to have been with others.

Ang

I nab beer tasting ---- Both I and II........I'm not sure how to get this organized as a group but will be glad to make some calls to DCL.

Now guys, how could I resist with a set-up like that - thanks Ang.

Our November cruise did beer tasting as a group by accident....

Not a problem. THere were so many ppl doing so many nice things, it's hard to keep it all straight. :)

I can't believe we're assigning jobs and creating lists of activites for a cruise that doesn't even exist yet!! How exciting!! You do realize that if you signed up for a job you are REQUIRED to take the cruise (pending availablity, cruise itineraries, finances, school schedules, acts of God, etc. This offer not valid in Guatamala.
