One morning by the goofy pool, I sat and watched the Wiggles - sort of mezmerizing in a cute sort of way - but, then again, I was subjected to Teletubbies when Maggie was a toddler. :lmao:

And my kids are just that much older, that for us it was BARNEY!

I hadn't realized how far into our subconcious Barney had been drilled until Jay broke his ankle and had surgery in 2002. They gave him his first shot of anesthesia and as they were wheeling him to the operating room he was singing "I LOVE YOU, YOU LOVE ME....."

Now that's a show I hated and swayed my son NOT to watch. The teletubbies. I can't understand them myself, nevermind a child who is learning to speak. I think that show should be taken off the air. And it doesn't matter what "color" they are. I don't like them. They were very, very annoying. How's that for my 2 cents?

Oh great...a TOP with the teletubbies. My worst TOP yet.

Trip report is finished and I even added a few pictures.

Oh my goodness, yes. The Teletubbies must be the WORST show ever created. They just give me the creeps. I'm glad Erin never got into them. I could deal with the Wiggles (on an extremely limited basis) and even Barney (annoying as anything, but at least had some good messages), but I refused to allow our Tivo to be contaminated by the TTs. Blech!

PS I only wish I had thought to take take the badn aid off b4 the pictures were taken! DUH

No. You'll be happy it's there 10 yrs from now. You'll remember the story about how he got the cut just before the cruise!

I was taking KT in for pictures on her first birthday. The day before her birthday she fell and hit the corner of the wall. She had a 2 inch line bruise on her forehead in all of the pictures. :)

Well, I'm back from Cleveland. My great nephew's 1st birthday party went well. We were the "cool" family....the only one who got him toys. EVERYONE else got him clothes. Needless to say he threw all of their gifts on the floor as soon as he opened them! :)

Got some sad news while I was up there. Mike's grandma (who had a stroke while we were on the cruise) aspirated last night and was in the ER. Mike called me around 10:00 this morning to tell me. He then called about 10:30 to tell me she had passed away. She definitely is in a much better place. She has suffered from Alzheimers (sp?) for a few years. This last year was very bad....at Christmas she had NO idea who anyone was. Plus she was nearly blind, so that didn't help. Arrangements are pending. :(

Karen - sorry to hear that. We are keeping you and your family in our prayers. :grouphug:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

And then there is my kids who have learned new lyrics....

I love you, you love me...
We're going out to hunt Barney.
With a baseball bat or a 2 by 4.
No more purple dinosaur.

I love you, you love me....
We're a happy family...
Then a shot rang out and something hit the floor...
one dead purple dinosaur.

OR (to the tune of "joy to the world")

Joy to the world, Barney is dead
We barbequed his head.
Don't worry 'bout the body...
We flushed it down the potty...
And around and around it goes.
And around and around it goes.
And around and around and around it goes.

Thought I'd share a picture of Cody.....my great-nephew!!! :)

They are still showing Teletubbies in VA on DirectTV. My DD love the little "sunbaby", I think that show is not the greatest for toddlers learning to speak. It's really hard to understand those TT's but my kids love it.

Karen,

Sorry to hear about Mike's Grandma. Your family is in our prayers.

Thanks for sharing the picture of Cody! What a cutie he is!!

Both Rachel and Tori would have LOVED those Barney lyrics!! By about age 7, they *hated* Barney!!! :lmao:

Karen, sorry to hear about the loss.

You may need to go on another cruise now just to rest.

I"m going to be at The Contemporary Thursday - Saturday for work so this afternoon I'm really pumping out the work to clean up before leaving.

All is going well until I get the phone call. A friend of ours is sitting in the Miami airport. Her family is escorting a 13 member soccer team from the Dominician Republic to Atlanta. Today she just found out that heir rooms for tonight in Ft. Lauderdale are not available.

So we are having 17 house guests tonight!

Why worry about all the details. They are only 13 college boys so just throw some pillows on the floor and call it a night. We will find some place for them. Some just may have to sleep in the hall. :lmao:

Hopefully I can get packed for my trip and make a Sams run before they show up. :rotfl:

Karen -- I am so sorry about Mike's Grandmother. I hope he and the rest of your family are okay. It was devastating to me when my grandmother died in 2004. We were very close when I was young and it was just so hard to believe now that she is not with us. We will keep all of you guys in our prayers.

P.S. Did Mike tell you about calling me this morning by accident. I was so shocked. I think he was too. Unfortunately, I had an office full of people when he called.

How nice of you!!!

How Molly taking it??? :rotfl2: :lmao:

Molly is excited. 17 more people to eat!

The dive video came today so I watched it while eating dinner. Great video. Worth every cent. Not often we get our own private video.

Let's go back there!!!

Now time to get serious about the company.

Karen (OM) - I am so sorry to hear about Mike's grandmother. How old was she? Please tell Mike that your family is in our prayers.

I dunno. Accident? You guys DID hang out an awful lot at WDW! :lmao: Actually, he was trying to call his brother's new cell phone number which was only in his "recent call" list. He saw your number and thought it was Marc's b/c he didn't recognize it. After he hung up with you, he had to call and tell me what he had done! :) Good thing we're all pretty good friends, or you might think we're REALLY strange! :lmao:

I'm going to guess about 85/86. I'm so bad with ages. Can't even remember mine 1/2 the time. Maybe if everyone wouldn't stop changing their age, I could remember! :)

Thanks, all, for the condolences. I'll pass them onto Mike. :)
