While we're on the subject (kind of) of injuries right before traveling, I can share a (now) funny story about Jim, my "refuses to acknowledge he's not a kid anymore" husband.
On Saturday night, we went to a friend's house for dinner (the friend with the Mickey bar and martini, actually), and Erin and their daughter went outside to play on the swingset with their daddies there to make sure they didn't hurt themselves. (Our first mistake, I guess.) Well, one of the daddies, I'm not sure which one, thought it would be fun to run UP the slide (which is actually pretty high and steep). So each daddy took a running start and ran up the slide.
The first round went so well, they thought it would be cool to do it again. Apparently, Jim slipped on the way up, though, and fell. Hard. Hit his ribs on the side of the slide and had the wind knocked out of him.
He really hurt that night, and I thought maybe he should go get his ribs x-rayed to make sure he didn't fracture anything. I felt pretty bad for him. But I also had to hold myself back from killing him.
So again... NO MORE INJURIES!!!!
