In fact, I'm going to drink a few before tomorrow's recital for JUST that reason!!!

Actually, the forward people get the real luxury muster station, the WD Theater.

So why do they have to go through "crew only" passageways? I know SOMEBODY does to get to their muster stations.

Hmm... I'll have to bring you one of our new t-shirts from work... it's got our "Play it Safe On the Water" message on it- reminding people to drink responsibly while participating in water sports... oh wait... I guess you're not a participant unless you get IN the pool... sure... go ahead.

(If I had a houseful of tweens a week before the cruise, I'd be drinking more than wine!!! Had one extra tween last night... and that was one too many!!)

Ya know, now that I've had 2 1/2 minutes to think about my response, I want to change it. I posted my knee jerk reply....

In hindsight, I think YOUR proposition of drinking wine while the kids swim is far LESS irresponsible than letting the kids drink wine while YOU swim!!.

Actually the aft people go thru crew only areas(stairwells) too, as the aft stairwells down from Topsiders that they use for the drill end at Deck 6, where the traffic is directed to plain white utility stairs that enter in the rear of AP's dining room. I'd imagine the same for the far forward people, they probably use a crew stairwell, not the main one by the forward elevator shaft.

Gotcha.

We've always been pretty much midship....the farthest back we were was 8066 and even that had a deck 4 muster station.

I think we'll be on the shady side for the lifeboat drill this year, so I hope the ambient temperature is warm. We've had shade when it's been chilly and it's downright cold. We've also been on the sunny side when it's been hot and we all nearly passed out from the heat!

That's a good question; you're right by the forward elevator shaft, could be either way, I don't know where the dividing line exactly is, just hope for the best.

DH and I got some major packing done today while ds was at a birthday party. We've only got to get ds to find his dress belt and decide which bum-around shoes to take. We ended up with a garmet bag, another bag for before the cruise and a larger suitcase for cruise clothes with LOTS of room to bring home souveniers. I feel like we've accomplised something. Now for the housecleaning spree tomorrow .

I am armyfam's son, Adam, and I just wanted to let you know that my mom just had emergency sugery yesterday and will not be able to go on the criuse. My dad will stay home with her, and my brother and I may still go on the criuse with our grandparents. She is now in recovery and doing very well. PLease keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
