finally caught up and now off to see what the dogs are winging about, my kids never woke us up last night but the dogs were barking - probably at the neighbors cat that taunts them while they are in the house, it thinks my house is it's home!!!! :confused3 :furious: :furious:

Our dog has been barking a lot at night, too...but I think it's because of the full moon. He can see things moving out there!

Angie.....it's been a loooong road for you....I hope it's GREAT news at the doctor! How ARE you feeling, anyway???

U-T.O.P. with Karen and Angie!! :Pinkbounc

pixiedust: pixiedust: and for the sick little girls!

Thanks for the all of the well-wishes & pixie dust from everyone! My visit went well. First I had a ct-scan done then went to see the dr. The bone fusion as at approx. 75% now. I can do anything now with a few exceptions - no lifting over 50 lbs., no impact exercises & no extreme sports (bungy-jumping, riding a wave runner). The lifting over 50 lbs. is probably impossible for me to do so that's not a problem ... I'm a weakling! I go back in Nov.

I'm feeling good with the exceptions of a few sharp pains every now & then. Dr. said that it was muscles that need to be exercised again. Guess I need to get on that work-out regime ... as soon as we get back from the cruise.

Lookie there .... right back at ya Stacey ... a U.T.O.P. shared with Stacey!!! :Pinkbounc

Hey Sharon, how is it looking for you and Lisa to get to JB's?

At this point I would say probably not. No one has mentioned them cancelling gym that night. If they do, we will be there. If not, I will see you later when we get back and on the cruise. They are having a banquet (that Lisa does not have to attend on Wednesday night - why couldn't that be on Friday night!!!)

FANTASTIC!! That's great news!! No banana boat for you, young lady!

Well, been a busy day here, hm?

On the 'gear' front...
We're not bringing a notebook either. Bringing Mary's Wifi enabled pda, but will get the internet cafe package for onboard. More for at WDW after.

Have the one and only digital camera setup with a 1gb stick, should be more than enough. Bringing a couple of the waterproof disposables for any CC excursion pics.

For the multimedia, we're bringing the Archos AV420, which I've downloaded a bunch of movies off DVD's, as well as some music. It can also serve as portable storage with the optional card reader incase the camera memory goes low.

I looked at something similar to that today. I think it's too far beyond my comprehension, though, so I passed on it. I have a handful of memory cards for both cameras, so I'll just wait til I get home to download. I might have Shutters put them on disk....but I usually find that I like to edit them first.

I had gone in search of a new portable DVD player. We will be bringing 3...one for me, one for Jared and one for the girls on the plane. There weren't any sales on, that's for sure!

One of the other moms from Jared's baseball team has an amazing camera, with a monster lens.

She sent me this picture of Jared from the other day. He was caught in a "pickle" between 2nd and 3rd base. He basically flew back to 2nd...and was safe. But you can even see the baseball in this picture. Wow.

Cool picture Horny Toe!

Very good action shot, Stacey. Jared is sort of flying. Kevin gets to take pictures at the dress rehearsal for recital, trying out the sports setting on his new camera. He's looking forward to it. The good ones I got that were posted earlier were all sort of poses. Would be fun to catch some mid-air!

Smart Girl. I absolutely love the results it has in playing them back, but getting the DVD's onto the device is not the most user friendly thing in the world. We bought it mostly as a portable storage device and to have our own in-flight movie without a device that uses up all the tray table space or strange neck-bending for us both to view. It does a good job playing back music too, I just havn't bothered doing all the encoding necessary to have all the song data show up onscreen. Most are ones I pulled off cd's in the past to make 'mix' cds for the car.

Wow, that response totally doesn't make sense! I agree with you- big duh there!
And how nice that since there is a childhood obesity problem let's only make clothing to fit obese children- if you aren't obese, you're just SOL? Can you imagine if adult clothing was this way- ONLY plus sized clothes and everyone else can just forget it because it's not worthwhile? I assure you that the obesity problem isn't limited to children, it's adults too, and yet they still make clothing in non-plus sizes for adults. Granted they may be in limited supply- but atleast they are available. How rude to give you a response like smaller sizes aren't worthwhile but suggest you try the plus sizes- as if that would help. I wonder if that was some automated message? Or if someone who is really answering their customer service issues is really that dumb. Sorry we don't have clothes small enough for your child, not worthwhile to do so- but please check out our extensive plus sized clothes? Whatever. LOL

I have the same problem as an adult. I have very long legs & am small. I used to always get pants from Eddie Bauer but they discontinued tall, small sizes. Their correspondence with me was the same ... just don't sell enough. So I'm SOL when it comes to pants. I could get jeans from The Gap ... until everything went LOW rise ... thanks, but no thanks. Summer is the only time I wear dress "pants" & that's only because I can buy capris so it doesn't matter if they are short! Guess I'll try Lands End for my next blue jean purchase.

KT really needs to try things on too....
so this year I bought her Lands' End and LLBean stuff in 2 or 3 different sizes. Then, at home, she tried them on. The Lands' End stuff I returned to Sears. The LLBean stuff I ship back in one priority mail box.

That's exactly what I did this year with the girls swimwear for the cruise. I just returned almost $200 worth of stuff to Sears yesterday.

BBB, you may want to check Sears. Ours doesn't carry a whole lot but someone else posted that theirs does.

Last year I got Emily's uniform pants from LLBean.

I hear ya there. Words across the butt just do NOT fly with us here. WHY does anyone want to encourage hormonal boys to look at girls' butts? :confused3 We've been striking out getting a good swim suit for KT (as a second swim suit)...we like the tankini style so it's easy to go to the bathroom, but like it to cover a good bit of skin. FINALLY we found one that FIT at Children's place but the top is a bit shorter than she's used to....more of a halter top than a full tankini. No where near a bikini though!! She feels a bit odd in it since her belly is hanging out. She's used to having all that covered....and that's fine with me!!!

I got these for the girls ... they cover a good bit ... but, guess KT is out of the little girl age

Karen, I am the same way- picky about her not wearing "grown up" looking clothes. Besides, next year they have very strict dress code (basically uniform- including no capris, no shorts, pants must be certain length and all one color- can't have any designs, plaids, different colors- jeans can't even be 2 faded jeans color/etc. So she'll have to wear just plain jeans which she usually does- usually the boys ones.

Are you saying you purchased them online and returned to Sears? (the land's end stuff) Even sears is an hour's drive away- might as well go straight to a land's end store if there is one available in the dallas/arlington area where sears is. I'm not into shipping things and paying shipping to me and then to return... I'd be out a fortune doing that considering how many things do not fit her unless she tries them on first. Honestly I really can't figure out WHY she's so hard to get things that fit her- but she is. :(

Lands End shipping wasn't too bad. When I got to a certain $ amount it wasn't costing me additional shipping so I just went for broke ordering stuff. I returned 1/2 of it to Sears.

Angie,
Here's one of the pictures that Towncrier sent me with Mickey being a towncrier.

Don't know if you still need it or not...
He also sent me about 11 others that I won't post here, but I will email to anyone who is interested. They are towncrier Mickey in all kinds of poses, with and without accessories. :)

Thank you all for your laptop input. I really appreciate it.
While we were in Radio Shack, we noticed that the SD cards were on sale, so...we will now carry 3 gigs of memory. No laptop to carry.

Also, thank you, MickeyMo'sBo for your generous offer! (I may pack a few cds---just in case, but I think we'll be more than covered with the cards).
