5/17/03 Eastern Cruise.. Who is going?

Granna, yes, everything will be open as usual on port days. There are also on-board activities planned as well, though not as numerous as on a regular day at sea. You can take a look at a navigator (list of the day's activities) from our day at Cozumel here. As you can see, there's plenty of other things to do, including seeing a movie onboard (they run constantly from noon 'til midnight - plus they're free) to lounging around at the pools.

You can go back and forth on and off the boat as much as you want - you might just have to wait a few minutes for one of the tenders.

Hope this helps :)

Thanks!! That is exactly what we wanted to know. Enjoyed the Navigator too. It is really jam-packed with info and activities. But I'll have to spend my evenings reading up on what is happening the next day! When do they deliver these?

If nothing else... my family is prepared for Tropicali night!!

Oh, I even found some lanyards at Old Navy ($2.50). They don't have the plastic holder for the KTTW card, but I've got a hole punch so I'll bring that along. (Saw that suggested somewhere on these boards.) I had checked Target and WalMart, but couldn't find them (yes, I asked). I think these will do.

I found the 97cent lanyards at our Walmart in Atlanta area. there is a holder with plastic window attached. They were near the watches and sport wallets. Also got my gallon zip lock bags, sun screen, aloe, and much more. Trying to space the purchases out over the next couple of weeks!

Question from my daughter. Can you get bottled juices? Cranberry or kid punch flavors? Or should we bring some from home. ? You probably have to pay for them like soft drinks , right?

You did? I thought I read to check the fishing section... LOL!! I guess I'll go back because I think I really want the plastic window!!! I just hate the WalMart here!! *sigh*

Granna: you'll get the first Navigator either in the Terminal (if they don't run out) or definately awaiting you in your stateroom. They seem to appear the evening before the day they're for, so you'll get Sunday's on Saturday evening, etc...

Hi all, are we getting excited? 3 weeks from now will be finishing my packing as we are leaving early afternoon Friday. The only reason I don't have everything laid out on one of the spare beds is that seeing it's vacation week, have been having the grandkids over each night and needed them. Next week though I guess one of them will be full.

The sun is shining today, but it was cold yesterday. Can't wait for the sun!!!!

Have a good Friday, and think, after today, only 3 weeks left of work.

granna....as a tip, bring along a few different colored highlighters....we used these to highlight each activity each person wanted to do. It really helped, because on our first cruise I saw things in the Navigator that I wanted to do, but I wound up forgetting because there was so much going on. This way I highlight the things I really do not want to miss and keep referring to the my Navigator all day....make sure you keep it with you all day..you will need it!!!

You all are so helpful!! I am passing these tips along to our large party and we are feeling much less frantic. I hope we will get to meet some of you. I think you will "notice" our party... lots of fun loving folks. We plan to have a great time at all the musical piano evenings, talent shows, etc. And several are celebrating birthday, anniversary, and of course the wedding aboard.

Will the choices of the week's movies be posted early in the week? Do you make reservations? What about popcorn (my weakness) and snacks at movie (Pay extra?)

Sun? What's that? We've only seen glimpses of it recently. If I didn't know better, I'd say I lived in Seattle with all the rain we've been getting lately!!

Well. Since it snowed yesterday, I have had to resort to electric beach (a.k.a., tanning salon) to help get me in the mood. My nice-white-Irish-skin-that-hasn't-seen-the-sun-in-nine-months would scare everyone at the Sail Away Celebration!

Don't forget your bubbles!

Don't worry about your white Irish skin, us Canadians are going to hit a high of 50F today!!! I went out today without a coat on!!! Three weeks from now we are heading for the Detroit Airport and can't wait for the warmth and sunshine. We will be the five people with lots and lots of sunscreen!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Exactly 3 weeks from right now we will be loading the car and getting ready to head to the Radissson.

I am getting sooo excited! What amazes me is that the excitement doesn't get less with each cruise. Strange isn't it?

Both DH and I started visiting the "electric beach" last week, too!!!

We didn't get snow yesterday, but it sure felt like we would. Have 2 of the grandsons and went for a walk today and sat out on the deck for a couple hours. Passporter in hand!!! Think I've read it through at least twice.
We'll be in the air 3 weeks from now, can't wait for sun and warm weather. I shudder each time the gas bill comes in for the heat. I could be spending the money on the cruise instead of to heat the house.

Well, off to a birthday party for youngest grandson. Have the 3 granddaughters tonight.

By the way, I used the highlighter on the last cruise, only thing was I ran out of time. Sometimes there were 2 or 3 things I wanted to do at the same time. Very hard to choose. Guess I'll do the things I didn't do 2 years ago.

...and exactly 2 weeks today it'ss be the eve before our wedding!:Pinkbounc :bounce: Then we'll be off to Florida on the Monday...can't wait!:)

I have my hen night tomorrow night with my girl friends:)

I guess hen night would be equivalent to our bachlorette party??? Never heard that term before!!! Have a great time!!!

MJ

UKANGEL-hen party, sounds like fun. Too bad it would be such a long trip, otherwise you could have invited all of us to join you. The next 2 weeks will just fly by, and before you know it, you'll be on the ship with you NEW friends. Hope you bring wedding pics with you.

Well, we had a sunny, but a little windy day. Kids played outside most of the day. One of my grandsons, he's got the white Irish skin too, was all red from the wind and sun.

It's back to reality tomorrow. Rain, but better than snow. Just thinking of 3 weeks from now, hopefully sitting by the pool relaxing.

Have a great weekend.

Donna

Okay Disser's!!! No more talk of snow!!!!! We've had one of the snowiest winters on record here in south Jersey and it's raining tonight. What drought???????????

UKAngel!!!!!!! Have a great time with all your hen friends!!! Thoughts and prayers that your wedding is all you've ever dreamed of!!! 21 years ago this month the DH and I were married. I wish you many years of wonderful memories.

I'll be at the pool at the Radisson at this time in 3 weeks. We can sleep in this time. No long bus ride from the airport. Just a quick hop over to the port. Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!

Looking forward to meeting you all. If a crazed woman approaches you in line in the terminal or onboard. BE NOT AFRAID!!! It's just the BunnyMom, wantin to meet her DISBOARDERS'.

See ya in 3!

Terry, Pat, and Ian

Hey...that goes for me as well....don't be surprised if I happen to come up to you and say...."are you a DIS'er??? And, don't be shy about coming up to say hi to me either....I'll be wearing my bright pink BIRTHDAY GIRL BUTTON!!!

Rain here as well tomorrow....yuck....at least I know we will be inside all day....we are in middle of redoing a bathroom and we all know what fun that is!!! Hubby has been working so much that it has been in a state of limbo since last June!!! I theatened that it had better be done by our cruise or I would be spending even more time on the DIS board!!! You never saw a man hang wallpaper so fast!!! LOL!!!
