We may be at the parks 6-30 thru 7-2....how bad will the crowds be? I know it will be crowded, but will the crowds be a little better than on the actual 4th? Or will the parks probably reach capacity the whole time we are there? (the thur/fri/sat before the actual 4th) If anyone has any ideas on crowds, thanks for clueing me in!! :sunny:

I'm wondering the same thing, not for this year, but for my trip next year July 1-8, 2006.

Yup. Bad. Can you schedule July 4 out of the parks? You're better of shopping or enjoying your resort that day. I know it's a day wasted, but it's also going to avoid the heat, stress, and frustration you're sure to find in the parks. Maybe make it a point to go to Ohana for dinner and watch the fireworks from the beach (that is, if you can GET Ohana for dinner!).

Good luck and enjoy!

We are there the 29 of june through the 6th of july. My millionth time and one friends 1st and others 2nd. We know it will be extremely busy. We usually never go summer but it just worked out this way for when my friends could come visit and go with us. Oh well, we will be prepared for line and waiting.

well if you're leaving on july 2, which is a Saturday, then you'll probably avoid the worst crowds.....with the 4th on a monday this year, that means lots of people will take long weekends and so the crowds should be especially bad this year....but i would assume the peaks will be on Sat, Sun, and Monday...

however, even with crowds WDW can be lots of fun....you just have to be laid back about it..

we go every year in july (we usually arrive on the 4th)...and yes, it's zoolike crowded.....but we still have a good time and keep coming back... :)

Crowds will be huge, and possibly one or even all the parks could reach capacity......Largest crowd I had ever seen was July 4th 1976 for the for the Bicentennial Celebration......course I was in the marching band then.My folks came to watch us, my dad said there was no way he was ever coming back to disney with crowds like they were, they were among the last 20 cars let through the gate and that was at 9am.!!!!
Face it, everywhere you go in florida willl be busy...even the boring places...LoL

we will be flying home on Sunday the 3rd. I am hoping that if we leave then we will miss the worst of the crowds. :flower:

I know MK usually reaches capacity but Epcot? does it reach capacity? I've heard that while it's still amazingly crowded also that it's actualy much better than the MK.

Just so you know, while I know Epcot will be crowded for the 4th, evidently most of the SUPER crowds are staying at MK, at least until after their fireworks show at 9:00 because I just called and got 2 PS's for the 4th in epcot, one at 7:00 at the Garden Grill.
