No worries, it comes in waves. Some days we'll add several pages. And others, only a few posts.

By the way, I have to ask about your DIS name, Merrydeath. Where is that from? It's probably something totally obvious that I'm the only one who doesn't get.... :rotfl:

Edited: I see your name is Meredith. Is it a play on that?

Yes it is. A nickname that I have had my whole life. Not trying to say that Death is merry(I sometimes forget how morbid it can sound!:headache:)

I wanna go next year!! I just don't think that I can keep up with this thread :lmao:

OK, you absolutely have to go! I need somebody else from San Jose there! So fun!!!

I had a bad, bad, bad night girls. We had to put our 18 year old cat to sleep tonight. It seems he had been clipped by a car and had a probable fractured leg. The vet also said he had a heart murmer and probable kidney failure (or at least the beginning of it). It was a very difficult decision, but since his quality of life was not so hot to begin with (pooping on the carpet, deaf, practically blind, could not always jump up on the bed) the decision had to be made.

Oh San Jose :lovestruc

Poor baby cat. I'm so sorry you had to make that decision. :grouphug:

Yep, there is a Facebook page that Callie linked to. It's not done by me, but is "manned" by Cristabel/disney-inspired.
Also I will update my Facebook status occasionally to post about anything important. Like today it was updated to inform everyone of the poll. :thumbsup2

I am not a man :snooty:

Oh, Tina I'm so sorry :grouphug:
Reading this makes me think of Osita and I get all :sad1: because I miss her so much. At least I get to see Jingles this weekend. All I need is a puppy to snuggle and I'll be good.

That reminds me, my train leaves the station at 8:15am, which means I should get there at 8am just to be safe so I should leave my apt around 7:45 - 7:50am which further means I need wake up at 7am to get dressed, grab my laundry from the dryer and vamoose. I better go to bed.

Good night everyone! I'm already looking forward to next year's trip :thumbsup2

I'm so sorry about your cat :grouphug: It's such a tough call to make.

We had to put our oldest cat to sleep last year (literally a week before my other cat had to go to the vet for other injuries - it was a nightmare week). Sometimes it's so hard to make the right call.

So sorry for your loss, putting your pet down is a hard decision to make but take comfort in knowing that you did what was best for your kitty. :grouphug:

Holy SHEEP! I just got an almost terrifying phone call. My dad is in the Army and works at the Pentagon and I honestly don't talk to him that often. So when I get a call from him I swear my heart was about to jump out of my chest because it sounded like bad news. There was a shooting at the Metro station at the Pentagon that he takes in and out.

He was just calling to tell me if I saw anything on the news not to worry at all. But wow, my heart is still up to my ears right about now.

OK, had to get that out to someone.

We now continue with our scheduled broadcast of whatever, whenever!

WOW so glad he is alright but you must have been so scared! glad everything is alright!!
:grouphug:

Ah got it. At first I thought, hmmmm, that's an interesting screen name. LOL But then I saw your real name and it made more sense.
My name is Beth, and when I first tell people apparently I don't say it properly because I've had them think I was saying Death or Bath. :confused3  lol

I am not a man :snooty:
Are you sure? You and Wendall could be in cahoots to infiltrate our ladies group....

Oh Tina. I am so sorry hon. I have no doubt he lived a long and happy life with you and Marty but still, it's never an easy decision. Big hugs to you my friend.

I am taking my oldest and youngest to a concert in Sacramento tonight. I think we are waiting to go see Alice until next weekend when DH is off.

Tina :grouphug: I'm so sorry you lost your dear friend. What a tough decision, but I'm sure one you know is right. I have a 12 year old cat, and I think often about when her time comes. I just don't even want to think about it. I'm so sorry.

Oh not much, JUST GOING TO DISNEYLAND!:banana:

Well, that certainly blows my plans out of the water. haha

Nuthin' exciting. Some cleaning, some homework, some volunteer work, some DVD watching, and some quilting.

I have no idea when we'll have time to go see Alice. :sad2:

You are under two weeks!!:cool1:

Morning gals!

I posted this on FB but Tina great big ((Hugs)) and again I am so sorry for your loss!!!

Not much going on today but have to go back in to work. BLEH! We have the CPA coming in today. Haven't had him come in in a few weeks so I need to get caught up on some stuff but I am pretty much up to speed on Quickbooks now so I think I won't need him to come in too much more. Just have a few more payroll issues to sort out.

Anywho mom is REALLY sick. I don't know how she got so dang sick but she must not have taken her airborne! ;) Even though they say it doesn't work I ALWAYS take it anyway and haven't gotten sick (at least not cold or flu) in a long time on a trip. She is going to try and get into the doctor today cuz she just seems to be getting worse but she also hasn't been able to rest either. Then I guess yesterday the one and only guy that works at our office stood up and passed out and started getting ill and so our office manager had to almost carry him to the restroom and he is big and she is little so she had to call my parents to come help her and they ended up calling 911 and he went away in an ambulance. I will find out today when I go in what was up. HOPEFULLY it was just a bad flu or something and not a heart attack!

So we have had a bit of excitement to be sure!

As far as this weekend goes tomorrow is Shelby's last basketball game and then they are supposedly having an awards ceremony although I have heard nothing about it so hopefully they will tell us at the game. Then we are hoping to go see mad hatter in 3D on Sunday. I just hope it isn't sold out! Next weekend they are having an open house at Joann's and mom is staying home from Truckee and we are going to take the girls and they have all these little craft demos set up and we saw it last month and it looked like lots of fun so we are going to do that and then that night we are going to a crab feed with them and like 4 other couples. We used to go to them all the time through one of the title companys but they had to stop doing it so I am really excited. So have a couple of fun things coming up. Oh and the week after that we have a girl scout bunko night. So fun fun fun!

I am really going to try and enjoy the next few weeks break because swim starts in april and then it is going to be nutso again. We will be back to every single night of practice again. YUCKO!

Anyway hope everyone has a good weekend and has some fun plans and Cathy have a great time at Disney!! :)

Thanks I will find out how BOTH of them are later and give an update.
