Good morning and holy moly I am all caught up!!

Courtney! Are you NOT on Facebook? Almost everyone else, come on over to the dark side!!

Yeah, we have COOKIES!!!!

I know, shocking huh.... I'm lazy. I think I'll make one this weekend, just because I love you girls so much. :lovestruc

So, next year, at the meet and greet, if we vote on dates that are not at the end of February we can have a big campfire story time with s'mores at the meet and great and I will tell you all the story of the Chicken Bones. It is a classic, really.

AmyhappyasaclambutstillpiledhighinlaundryOkraSue

Sounds good to ME!

Suddenly, I want a vibrating bed, a cookie and a nap. :confused3

I'll also take some coffee too. :lovestruc

I miss getting to see everybody everyday!

:rotfl:

You crack me up, Wendellini!

Come to the dark side! It's great over here! We have a wonderful angel watching over us! How could she not? Her & I helped start the Badgirls club!
We have cookies & coffee!!

Aww, that convinced me. :littleangel:

I kinda thought you were a newbie until I saw your post count. Guess it took you awhile to find the best group. :rotfl:

:rotfl: I've been on the Dis for almost 3 years! No newb here. Well I WAS a newb to the Divas. Not any more!

Don't let us stop you!

Uh ... I didn't say that!

Holy SHEEP! I just got an almost terrifying phone call. My dad is in the Army and works at the Pentagon and I honestly don't talk to him that often. So when I get a call from him I swear my heart was about to jump out of my chest because it sounded like bad news. There was a shooting at the Metro station at the Pentagon that he takes in and out.

He was just calling to tell me if I saw anything on the news not to worry at all. But wow, my heart is still up to my ears right about now.

OK, had to get that out to someone.

We now continue with our scheduled broadcast of whatever, whenever!

Oy, I'm glad he's okay.

Courtney, which ears are you wearing on It's A Small World? I don't remember ever seeing those. However, I did get my eyes checked today for the first time in a year and a half so who knows what all I've been missing

I think that is the adorable hat that she got on her December trip.

They look like the pair to me. I saw the photo and was gonna say WAY TO GO Courtney for having proof of wearing them again ;)

Yes! I bought it in December and it looks like they're all sold out. I was on the hunt for one for Tina. But I couldn't find them. :sad1:

Thanks, Jazz!!! I rocked that hat most of the weekend! :thumbsup2

I look so funny in this one! :lmao: It's like I'm saying "no pictures, no pictures please"

Cause you're a super star!! :cool2:

Everyone was groovin' on Courtney's hat/ears. They were so cute on her!

I haven't voted yet. DH & I have a trip to Kauai planned for spring so if the Diva trip is in April, Hawaii will be early March and visa versa.

I ate waaayyy too much on the trip. Now that I am back to my normal routine, I am starving half the time. Have to work on shrinking my tummy a bit - three full meals and sugary snacks each day do not make for a healthy Lulubelle!:guilty:

Thanks, Linda! :cutie:

I ate like a piggy on the trip, yikes.

I wanna go next year!! I just don't think that I can keep up with this thread :lmao:

Oh you get used to it! :rotfl:

As long as that be Malibu, I'm there (that's my pirate voice, 'K??) pirate:

Me too!

OK, you absolutely have to go! I need somebody else from San Jose there! So fun!!!

I had a bad, bad, bad night girls. We had to put our 18 year old cat to sleep tonight. It seems he had been clipped by a car and had a probable fractured leg. The vet also said he had a heart murmer and probable kidney failure (or at least the beginning of it). It was a very difficult decision, but since his quality of life was not so hot to begin with (pooping on the carpet, deaf, practically blind, could not always jump up on the bed) the decision had to be made.

Aw, I'm so sorry Tina. You made the right decision.

Oh, Tina I'm so sorry :grouphug:
Reading this makes me think of Osita and I get all :sad1: because I miss her so much. At least I get to see Jingles this weekend. All I need is a puppy to snuggle and I'll be good.

Oh not much, JUST GOING TO DISNEYLAND!:banana:

LUCKY!!! Have fun!!!!

Thanks for having my back, Courtney! I looked in every singl store I came across, and only found the matching jackets.

Kelly~I hope you're mom is feeling better today. I came home super sick from October meet, and it was no fun at all.

Everybody~Thanks for your support and kind words here and on FB. I'm feeling ok about the decision, but just sad. I have to give a shout out to AmymostawesomefriendwhocalledmebackafterIleftablubberingmessageonherphoneokrasue. Thanks for making me feel better last night, friend! If you ever have an emergency cooking question, please feel free to call me!

OK girls, I'm off to start a major new job today. I'll check back in this afternoon to let you know how it goes.

Have a great day!!!!:grouphug:

Good morning, ladies!
I need to get all caught up. I have had byfriend issues the past few nights...sigh why are men so moody??!! ANYWAYS...

Do we chat here or on the other thread? confuzzled...

We own a Westin timeshare, so will stay at their new resort in Princeville.
Do you have any suggestions for things to do or places to eat? We have been to Oahu, Maui, Big Island and Lanai but this will be our first to Kauai. Even though it is a year away, I cannot wait!:yay:

Actually...we were planning a trip a few years back but then life got in the way and it didn't happen. But I found some AMAZING private cottages right on the beach and I desperately want someone I know to stay there. :rotfl:

I bought a guidebook to Kauai that everyone in the world recommended when we were planning - I'd be happy to send it to you!

Michele, have fun at the concert tonight! :cool1:

Cathy, have a great time at Disneyland!! :yay:

Denise, since you'll already be doing some cleaning, wanna come to Vegas and clean my house too? ;)

Kelly, I hope your mom feels better soon. Keep us updated.

Tina, good luck on the new job! :wizard:

January, for now I'll say chat here until we hear otherwise. :confused3 We are pretty much still working on trip planning anyway with the dates being discussed.

Courtney and Sarah, good morning!! :)

Kathy, private cottages on the beach sound heavenly right now! Is it bad that we just got back from this trip and I'm already ready for another vacation?? :rolleyes1

No way! I usually have at least 4 vacations in planning mode at any given time. :)

Right now we have coming up:

Mexico in May/June
Our annual camping trip to Crater Lake 4th of July weekend
Atlanta in late July (I know)
Disneyland in November
Vietnam / Cambodia next Summer

...and the girls trip. :)

I feel like an empty shell of a person if I don't have a vacation to plan :lmao:

They upped our saturday work hours again. :confused3 6 more weeks and I'm done. I am sad and tired.

UGH, I've been really sick since getting back from the trip. I think I have bronchitis because the coughing just won't stop. Sometimes I'll get full blown coughing spasms where I really think I won't be able to stop, and Justin and the boys think I'm choking. All the coughing has made my throat raw. I'm so tired. I think I'm just going to rest today as much as possible even though there's laundry and school work to do. I just don't think I have it in me today.

Tina, I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your poor kitty. I'm sure that was a very difficult decision for you and Marty to make, but you made the right decision for a loved pet whom you didn't want to see suffer. But I know that doesn't make your pain from losing a loved one any better or go away. You're in my thoughts and prayers babe!

Denise, since you'll already be doing some cleaning, wanna come to Vegas and clean my house too? ;)

Shoot, I barely have time to do my own. lol The next two weeks are gonna be a whirlwind. I am coming to Vegas though for a one night only appearance.

We have the musical at the HS that we volunteered to help with (6-9 pm on the 5th, 6th, 10th and maybe the 12th), the Phoenix quilt show that I am the asst to the volunteer coordinator for (my mom.. yes I got volunteered..lol) on the 11th, 12th and 13th, finals and final projects both due on 3/12, classes 9th and 11th, packing, and finally vacation (Vegas for the wedding on the 17th, then 4 days at DLR) and it all starts tonight! Seriously, it's a good thing my teenager has one day a week off from school. haha Hopefully she actually does some of that cleaning today. HAHA

Ooooh wow. Nice. Do you really camp or are you an RV sort of gal? ;) My family and I love tent camping although it's been awhile since we've done it.

Atlanta sounds nice. Hot and humid in summer though right? I've never been, but someday would love to go there or Savannah and take their haunted tours. I love that sort of thing.

Disney in November.....nice time to go. Christmas decorations are so pretty.

Vietnam? Interesting choice. I'm embarrassed to admit I don't know much about the area. What made y'all choose there?

Awww sweetie, that sucks about the hours. You really need a break!

Hey I'm here at work and typing from my phone. Mom is going to the doc at 11 but I think she may have bronchitis too. Hope. You feel better capri! I was checking beths msg about the 1st born on fb and I got that stupid virus on my computer again. I hope I didn't lose everything!! Be careful on fb not sure if it came from there.

Haha, this is actually a MAJOR point of contention between my husband and I. We have a cabin that we rent every year. He says it's not camping but we cook everything outside on the campfire so I say it is. :lmao:

My in-laws live outside Atlanta, which is why we go - it is VERY hot and humid but they have a pool and his mom makes a wicked Sangria so I don't complain too much. ;) We are talking about making a girls trip to Savannah this Summer with his mom and sister.

I've actually been to Vietnam, and now my husband is extremely jealous so we thought we'd take the family on a cultural trip. It was an amazing trip...I got to go with 2 girlfriends (one of which is Vietnamese so I had my own personal translator which was super nice) and it was incredible. We flew into Saigon, took the train up to Hanoi, spent 2 nights on Halong Bay in the South China Sea, and then made our way back down the coast stopping in Hoi An and then down to the very Southern tip of Vietnam on the Mekong Delta (think Jungle. I had my Apocalypse Now moment for sure).

I think Southeast Asia (aside from Thailand) is a pretty underrated vacation destination for Americans...we met exactly zero Americans while we were there and we were there for three weeks. But if you're into that kind of thing - a totally immersive vacation experience...I cannot recommend it highly enough (depending on your comfort level). It can be as budget or as expensive as you want it to be and it's a veritable tropical paradise. :)

OK I've exceeded my maximum word limit for a post.

I started feeling like I was coming down with something on the flight home. I rested up on Wednesday since hubby was still off. I had to get the kids to school and start getting things together for Donovan's Birthday party on the 13th. I am congested and coughing a lot! I am so glad that I did not get sick while on the trip though.

Oh no. Laundry and school work can definitely wait. Take of yourself for now. Hope you feel better real soon.

Whew! They sure are. Your schedule sounds like something Melody (tinkermell) would post! Both of you sound super active and busy, busy, busy.

Morning ladies!

Drive by HI!!!
And speaking of which...... hello Miss Melody!! :)

Hey there, how you doin? Got any plans for the weekend? :smokin: ;)

A cabin is camping too! LOL And now that I'm older, I might have to give up tent camping and look into that. :thumbsup2

All your travel plans sound so fun. And adventurous!! I'm a big chicken and so I doubt I'll ever travel outside of the U.S. :sad2: Although I might if I knew someone who'd been there and spoke the language. I'm sure that helps immensely.

We'll all look forward to hearing of your adventures. :goodvibes

Just a few reminders:

1. Have you voted on the poll yet?? There is still time, but don't wait too long as the poll closes on Monday the 8th. Right now the March 3 - 8 and April 14 - 18 dates are neck and neck with only one vote separating the two!

2. I know everyone has been busy getting back to real life, but don't forget to get those photos added to shutterfly and photopass once you get a chance. It's going to be so fun to see all the different pics taken! :)
