4th fp+?

we were in WDW last week. Got all the fp+ we wanted, including 7d twice in the week...
I figured once we used all three of our daily fp, wed be able to get a 4th..

But each day we tried, it wouldnt let us. I tried on the app and at the kiosks themselves but we kept getting told we couldnt because of conflicts. Granted, I shouldve asked a CM what the deal was, but it really wasnt important at the time. Now, Im just wondering about it.
I went to WDW last December for pop warner week because my daughter made it to Nationals with her cheer team. This year already looks VERY good for them going again, so id like to be prepared in case.

Hmm, we just returned from a quick weekend trip and had no problems getting a 4th FP on Saturday or Monday. (We had FPs for Illuminations viewing on Sunday so couldn't get a 4th.) We even got a FP for Midway Mania at 5:30 Monday evening, which was an awesome surprise!

You are typically not able to get a 4th at any place but a kiosk (I know some have reported an app glitch that allowed for it but typically), the only other thing I can think of is if there were other people on your MDE that had not used all of their FP yet and they were being included? Definitely ask a CM at the kiosk, we found them to be super helpful and sometimes did the entire process for us (without even being asked). Actually, I think the first time I was a little intimidated (I had read here on the Dis about people holding up the lines and I did not want to be one of those people, even though there was no line I wanted to learn the right way) and asked the CM for help. He confirmed with me who I was looking for, we were a family of 3 but traveling as a total of 8 and the other 5 still had a FP so we had to be sure to only select the 3 of us, showed me the available options, made a selection and off we went.

Ohhhhh there it is, ok. Yes my husband had his own fp because he doesn't like the same rides as us. Honestly, I was too hot last week to try to figure it all out. It can be confusing trying to keep tabs on who has what at what times, etc. that must have been it, he still had fp he hadnt used, didnt think to try it without him. Thanks!

I've only experienced this when a fastpass was canceled, we switched parks and we had to get one timed for after the last canceled one expired. I would have asked the cm near the kiosk for help, it does work and we generally get much more than 4 when we use the kiosk. The app cannot give you more than your initial 3. Even if they cannot clear it to help you, they can override it to give you a fastpass overlapping if needed and in some cases may just hand you a paper fastpass which is good at any ride (which is what they did for us on the park switch problem we ran into.

We had planned to get the 4th FP on our trip earlier this summer. However, the lines at the Kiosks were daunting. We could either wait 30 minutes in the Kiosk line or go wait 20 minutes for a ride. It seemed like a no-brainer.
