$49/pp Value resort = Tickets

I booked a trip this past weekend using code QXG, staying at ASSp from Dec. 12-16th, with 2 adult 4 day park hopper tickets. The total was $771. If you deduct the price of the tickets, I ended up getting the room for about $198 for the 4 nights. It was actually a better deal than the bounceback reservation I made during our trip in July. I usually don't stay at value resorts (CBR is my favorite), but since this is a short trip we won't be in our room that much. Most of our time will be spent in the parks and resorts enjoying all of the beautiful Christmas decorations and festivities!

I also got a great price on air fare - non-stop roundtrip from Detroit to Orlando for $149 per person. That price included tax and surcharges. When that price came up on Saturday night, I jumped on it and had our trip booked within a half an hour!!

WOW!! You got a great deal. I am soooo happy for you. I am a bargain shopper and a deal hunter myself. We are going to WDW in 8 days. We're staying at CBR. This is our first trip. It's my DH, DS14, and DD8 and me. I originally booked in April paying the regular price of $149/night. Then I went looking around on the Disneyworld site one day in June and found a code for our time frame advertising $40 off per day for moderate resorts. We're booked through the WDW Travel, so I immediately got on the phone and gave them the code. I saved $360, but I had to switch from Port Orleans-Riverside, because the promotion only had certain rooms/resorts available. I really didn't mind switching resorts, it was worth the money I saved.
Have fun on your trip.

I have stayed at CBR so many times (probably around 15 times) and we just love it there. I hope you enjoy your stay there as well. It is such a beautiful resort and I'm sure you know that they just opened up the new main pool yesterday. It's much bigger than the old one and really looks nice from the pictures posted here on the boards. I was just there in July and from what I saw it looks like a lot of fun.

It would have cost us about $300 more to stay at CBR for our December trip and I just felt that I would rather put that money towards some nice table service meals. My husband really doesn't care for the values and four days will be about all he can take!! I've never used the pool in my last three December trips, so I probably wouldn't use the new pool at CBR anyways. The one thing I will miss the most will be walking over the island to the food court and hearing the calypso music playing!

Have fun on your trip.

This is a great rate, but since the week i'm going is Pop Warner week (12/6/08-12/13/08) there are no discounts available. If they were there during their customary 1st week of December i'd gotten that discount. Oh well, i guess my 40% off AP rate will have to do. LOL;)

Yup, I got an email with code DGL yesterday for the same thing. Thanks, Disney. You emailed a month old code... Anyway, now I know why I couldn't use DGL with my AKL ressie. We're going 10/21-10/27. Those dates aren't part of this code at a deluxe.

I got that email sent to me late last night... although the code was different. Sounds like a great deal, but the date won't work for me. Bummer.

Ok....tell me what I'm missing here
$49/per person rate x 4/people = $196 x 5 nights = $980
The offer says it will be a total of $1168...????
Is the $49 the child rate?
:confused3

I used the QXG code, which is a general public code. Found it through going to the WDW home page, clicking on Tickets and Reservations at the top and then clicking Special Offers.

I was confused about the wording because I also thought it was $49 per person per night at a value. But, when I started putting in my info for the trip, the room ended up being about $198 total for 4 nights (that is for 2 adults). You have to book a package with at least room and park tickets. My total was $771 for 4 nights at ASSp with 2 adult 4 day park hopper tickets.

I still don't get the MickeyMouse Math....so I think I'll stick w/ my room only discount (I'd have to stop and look it up, it's not in front of me) I think it is 30% off.

Which airline? I am looking to fly out of Detroit in feb or March. I'm seeing high prices so far. I hope they go down at some point. Lat year we flew Spirti for jsut over 100 each, and I booked it 13 days before we left.

This morning I booked Nov. 14-17 at ASMo Preferred room, for three nights, 2 adults w/ 2 day base tickets for $505 including tax :cool1: Couldn't pass that up for a weekend girls only disney trip at the last minute!

All Disney sample pricing are based on 2 Adults, 1 Junior and 1 Child. Tickets are BASE tickets, and for the total number of DAYS (not nights).

The confusing part is usually the 'junior'. For tickets, (or dining if that's part of it), "junior" pays like an adult. But for hotel purposes, 'junior' does not pay as an adult, and hence, no extra 'adult room fee'.

To come up with the sample pricing, find a MYW base tickets for 3 adults + 1 child for the number of days in the sample. Then substract that from the total, and divide the rest by the number of nights - that will be your room per night charge.

Northwest. I have been checking regularly since July as I had a bouneback reservation. That reservation had us coming home on a sunday and the air fare was about $50 more than coming home on a weekday. So I did some checking on Disney's site and reading here on the boards and that is how I discovered the QXG code. So by changing my arrival date from Dec. 10th to the 12th, I got a great price on the package (better than the bounceback) and cheaper air fare. I thought I would be paying about $205 for the air fare and I just happened to plug in the numbers on Saturday night and it came up at $149 per person round trip. It's always a gamble with Northwest because they change the price of their fares almost daily. One day this week my same flight was up to $257 and I checked today for the heck of it and it was down to about $202. I haven't seen it as cheap as I got it for quite some time.

I remember looking for cheap air fare a couple of years ago for February and there was no such thing!! My daughter's marching band was performing in the MK and a few weeks before their trip, my husband told me I could go to Disney to see her. I never went because the air fare was ridiculous. I recently checked Northwest for February because I thought my daughter's band was going this school year. I didn't see anything under $300. Now they have decided that if they go it won't be until the very end of April. Who knows what prices they will be charging by then.

Thanks for the input. Yes, I saw the pictures of the newly remodelled pool. It looks beautiful. I knew that they were working on it, and was afraid that they wouldn't get it done by the originally scheduled Sept. 15 deadline. I guess that only happens in our world, not WDW. My DD8 is a water baby, so we'll definitely be using the pool. Thanks again, and I hope you and your DH enjoy your vacation.

I got that email yesterday also. This is my 4th code in 2 mos and ofcourse I won't be getting a code for January when I really could use the discount on my GF reservation :confused3 :rotfl: I'd love to go in December to take advantage of all the Christmas festivities however with two small kids I think the crowd levels will be optimal for us in January. One day i'd like to travel in early December to WDW just to experience some of the Christmas magic :)

I know, I want to cruise in late Feb/early March and the airfare is horrid. That will be 100 for the 3 of us alone. Sometimes I find it cheaper, but until I get the Ok from DH, can't book anything. And he always wants to wait last minute. We were lucky last year, but I think we will be making up for it this year. A few weeks ago airtran had the dates I wanted for 218, but now thats gone up, and most other lines are in the 300's. UGH!

just saw this thread and called to check on things. as it turns out, it is exactly the same price as the PIN code that we got a month ago. thanks anyway!
