If there is one thing I find less than fantastic on a Disney cruise, it is the food served at rotational dinning. I am not saying it is bad food, but I have never walked away from rotational dining thinking, "wow. best meal ever".

The food is just alright. So if I am not in the mood for the theming I would rather Cabana's open the buffet.

Cabana's is way way way better than anything I have experienced on the menu's in the dining rooms.

When Cabanas was open for dinner (table service, not buffet), the food was the same food served in the MDRs. Basically, it's wedding reception food. Mass produced meals like that have some limitations.

There have been some meals that I've been impressed with, but I'm not a "foodie" and unless the kitchen totally destroys a meal, I'm good.

I only ate at Cabana's for dinner twice on the Magic. It was where they trained staff for the MDR.

It was a limited but menu, with a small salad bar. It was a nice alternative.

My family always chooses late, no rushing to shower and get ready for dinner. Oh, I am dating myself, when everyone dressed for dinner. And it was not over the top, just men/boys collared shirts and women with nicer clothing. I do like seeing folks still getting dressed up on the longer cruises, oops I am getting off topic.

It would be nice to have half of the buffet open, limited options, maybe from 5:30p-7:30pm. Now of course its first come, first served, no reservation and maybe you would have to be seated by 7pm. Just an idea!!
