44 Hours and Counting Until I'm Childless!

Does it make me a horrible parent that I'm sooooooo excited for my son to go visit my mom and his other grandparents for ten days? I was so nervous and scared at first, but now I'm thrilled!! I don't know what I'm going to do with myself for TEN whole days with no child storming in on me while I'm peeing, waking me up at 6am to play video games and saying "mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, mom" twelve hundred times a day

My mom used to feel the same way when we would go to California to visit our father!!

Heck I feel that way when my oldest goes to spend a few days with his dad here in town!!

All good mom's need a break now and then!! Enjoy yourself....get off the computer and go pamper yourself this week!!

I've been a single mom, hun - I hear ya............I will warn you though - there will be teary eyed moments[MOMENTS] when you miss him. Just remember it won't be too long before you are hearing MOM MOM MOM again, so enjoy your break!

Ahh..you are a fabulous mom, but seriously there should be at least a FEW days a YEAR moms should have to themselves!!!


For me:
The best is when they head back to college...wow, that is so awesome!!!

But then again they do come back home from time to time!!!

OP...have a great time. Go to the Mall and shop, get a manicure/pedicure! Call your girlfriends and go to dinner!! As much as this is a "vacation" for your DS..make it a "vacation" for YOU!!!

NO,it doesn't make you horrible. Heck, I'd put Christian on the plane with him, if I thought your mom would take him.

Yes you should feel bad, what kind of mom are you that you are letting your kids go to thier grandparents for 10 days? Don't you know that your parents have their own life, and its not their place to watch your kids for you. Your the one who gave birth to them, they have finished raising their kids......

I'M SO JEALOUS!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, to be able to use the bathroom in peace!

Have a great 10 days! Don't forget to tell your parents how great they are! Although if they are like other grandparents I have talked to who LIKE to spend time with their grandkids, they will want to thank you for letting them stay for 10 days!

I get the worse mom award!! Me!

My DS goes to college at the end of the month, and I CANNOT WAIT TO DROP HIM OFF AND LEAVE HIM THERE.

I sneak out my pictures of him at age 11, and cuddle them, but this 18 yr old, monosyllabic, breaking up with his girlfriend by texting her 50 times, staying up all night and sleeping all day, smoking when we're not looking alien.......I'm really glad for him to take the whole drama someplace else for awhile. Then hoping he's human when we get him back.

LOL then I'll be counting down the days until the NEXT visit! haha

He's sooooo excited and I know I will be crying at the gate before he gets on the plane. I get teary eyed thinking about it right now but I know I'll be jumping on the bed by myself when I get home from the airport
