44 Hacks for a Disney Cruise Article

How about the "port side fish - starboard side seahorse" thing? I think that's only on the Dream class ships, right? And Concierge has a starfish.

Plus, you can't bring meal-type foods into the theaters, only snacks (popcorn, candy).

I believe other cruise lines can have yellow lifeboats, also. Maybe not the specific "Mickey shoe" yellow, but yellow, nonetheless.

Probably? We were starboard and had a fish on the Magic. I didn't pay attention when I went down the Port-side hall (being a usual Port-side girl I did that a LOT) to what they had. And I didn't go exploring on all-cabin decks, so I don't know about concierge on them.

Unless it was changed during their respective re-imagining dry docks, I believe the rooms on the Magic class ships all have a fish.

The starfish/seahorse/fish thing is only on the Dream class.

I know starboard has fish, so that is probably correct and was not changed.

How weird we got ponchos on our last two cruises. Both cruises were on the Wonder.

I wanted to come back and update after I got a notification on this thread!!! On our October 2016 on the Magic which was the 8 day that was supposed to go to the Bahamas but was rerouted to Canada.....one day in Sydney it rained so hard they were keeping people in the town's port terminal and would not let us go back to the ship until the storm abated somewhat. As we were leaving the ship to go to port they did indeed hand us ponchos!! That was the first time in all my cruises.

I always hate to hear the comments not to drink the water. Sheesh.

MJ, the only time we heard of ponchos being handed out was on the first Hawaiian cruise. Our daughter got one. We didn't and we were on the same deck, at the same time. She got a mouth full from me, LOL.

Clearly the person was concierge...

Not anymore. I can't remember the brand, but Concierge doesn't get H2O anymore. We had some other brand that wasn't even Disney themed, which was disappointing.

Ew. Very weird. I would have thought their contract with H2O+ was exclusive. Hopefully that's not a sign they are moving away from it. I've never liked anything on any of the other lines I've been on.

From what I've read, Concierge is now getting Elemis products. Also in the spa, I believe. But the "regular" rooms are still getting H20 products. I believe that Concierge could also request their room host to get the H2O products, if they want.

Ew. Well, that is another reason for me to not sail concierge. I DETEST that stuff and find it FAR inferior to H20+. I can sail much cheaper and get better product! :)

Yep. HAL uses Elemis - it makes my hair look like straw. And the "lotion" is something less than moisturizing.

That's where I had it before. I tried the hand soap exactly once before I unpacked all my stash of DCL stuff and spread that all over my bathroom on the first Alaskan Running Cruise I did (before they changed to RCCL - not that their stuff is any better). Pretty sure between that and my DCL hoodie I hung up (and a Mickey, Goofy, and newly acquired Baby Sven plush that might have traveled with me) my cabin steward thought I worked for DCL. I know one morning I went back to my cabin while he was cleaning and found him, a second cabin steward, and the deck manager WITH a checklist - other people in my group who encountered their cabin stewards in the cabins cleaning (our schedule was weird and we usually went back on board to shower after races) did NOT get the pleasure of three people in their cabins with checklists. LOL.
