Hi,
I'm going to be spending my 40th birthday at the DLR in a few weeks, we love disneyland and have annual passes are they any suggestions to make this a fun and memorable trip? (We have 18month old twins so that needs to be figured in with ideas) I am of course excited to be going but it would be fun to make this a special trip. TIA :cool1:

I'd try to do some sort of special meal for your birthday, even if it's just a sit-down restaurant. I also think I would have enjoyed my birthday more if I had got some cake, even a slice :flower3: --somehow I feel like birthdays should always have cake and ice cream is not the same. :) If I could do it again I would get one of those giant slices from the Golden Horseshoe, though I might eat it all myself. :)

Stop by Guest Relations and get a free Birthday button from them. Then if anyone notices, you'll get birthday greetings from them.

Yummy - I have not had that cake since I was like 20 - when we went to see the comedy show in the theater and had a slice of that cake...might have to do that - thanks!!

I did my 40th at Disneyland last September. We had no kids in our group, it was me & 7 other ladies in their 50's & 60's. I played up the princess thing!! All my "ladies in waiting" wore little tiaras & I had a big one that said "40" on it. We all wore matching "Princess Krista's 40th Birthday" t-shirts, with my picture on them as a princess at age 3. princess:

We did the birthday party cake making on Main Street (fun, and you get your cake!!!). We also did lunch at Ariel's.

Be sure to get the birthday pin & maybe buy yourself "It's my Birthday" Mickey ears! You're only 40 once, right!??!? I know celebrating at DL made the blow a little softer for me.

I went for my 40th last August and for my special day we did all of my favs and had a wondefrul dinner at Cafe Orleans that had to be the best meal I have ever done at DLR had the Beingets(?SP) for dessert, for our meal I had the gumbo(very very Yummy) and split the Monte Cristo with my daughter(it was soooooo goood). We had had lunch at Blue Bayou and I just wasnt that impressed with that meal I thought CO's was so much better and service was amazing... But keep in mind whatever you do will be great as it is your birthday and best of all you are in Disneyland!!!!! O and make sure to get your birthday button it is so much fun having the whole park wish you happy birthday!!!! Also try riding the main street vehicles up front I did this a couple times and had a blast felt so important LOL :)

I went for my 30th. We did the Discover the Magic Tour with our preschoolers and my parents - it was AMAZING!

Must be the thing to do on big birthdays. I am going next week for my 40th. My husband and I are going with a group of family and friends and staying in a grand villa at the Grand Californian Hotel. My husband also made arrangements for me to have a dinner at Club 33 that night.

As others said wear your birthday button you can get at City Hall and don't forget to go to the tortilla factory in DCA to get your free birthday tortillas.

I went for my 39th last year. It was packed as it's today (President's day) so we ended up not doing anything extra special. But I'm not a pass holder so just getting to be at Disney is my special part.:thumbsup2
As I sit her on my 40th Bday I am planning a trip for April with a good friend of mine from Canada. We wanted to go today but after last years crowds I chose to say no.:cheer2:

I went for my 40th with DH and we went for his 50th last year. We did both trips with just the 2 of us and left our kids with Grandma. That in itself made both trips really special. We spend a LOT of time with our kids and love being at DLR with them - so our first trip for my b-day was a little strange. We were good when it was his b-day trip since we knew what to expect.

Birthday buttons, we did Fantasmic Dessert Seating for his, Blue Bayou for mine, we made sure we saw Billy Hill for his (so funny). Whatever you think will make it special for you.

I love the tiara idea, though. I can just see all the boys in my family rolling their eyes if I wore one! princess:

Mine is the week after next :) - how fun to do Club 33 :cool1: And I LOVE the tortillas so I have to make sure to do that.

I like the tiara idea - will probably be the last time I can do it without the eye rolls from all the boys - they are too little to roll their eyes right now.

Thanks for the ideas!
