401 days 'till Disney!!! But who's counting?!?! 07/18

Good luck at your new job! I hope it's going well!

I haven't seen too many bad reviews of Coral Reef, but I will say when my family went there (in 2010) we weren't really thrilled with it. The place is gorgeous but we didn't feel like it had enough selection, and we had to wait like 30 minutes before being seated, even though we had an ADR. Plus the whole thing where you're eating fish right next to fish... hahaha but the only reason we went there anyway was because they went there on Full House and Boy Meets World. ANYWAYS (I'm sorry, I always seem to ramble!) I'm glad yall enjoyed it though! Awesome that they brought you the special dessert!

HHAHA omg, that's hilarious that you went into the men's room! Hahha I've done that before during desperate times but man, so glad nobody saw you!

Thanks!!! It was such a great first day!! I love it here at the new bank I'm at! One of the first things they said at orientation yesterday was "faith, family, then work"! So, I knew that this is where I want to be!

That is very true about the selection at Coral Reef, there isn't too much to choose from! And yes, it is a little sad to eat fish, and then watch their aunt and uncle swim by!:rotfl:
I won't lie, though, the main reason I did choose it to begin with was becasue of the picture I saw in my planning book, and Full House! hahahaha

I'm SO glad no one walked in the bathroom when I was in there!!hahaha I think I would have died of embarrasment! :lmao:
I almost didn't even tell Ben becasue I knew he would make fun of me! haha But, if you can't laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at?!

I hope you're having a good week so far!

I followed you over...we have 2 things in common...both in the same town and we both are going back to WDW around the same time. I can't wait to pass the time away with you!

YAY! I'm glad you are here! It's pretty awesome that we are in the same town, it seems like most people on here are so far away, so it's nice to have someone so close!:goodvibes

I'm excited to coutdown with you as well! I can't wait 'till we go back!

Thanks for reading!:thumbsup2

Glad to hear that the new job is going well!!

Thank you! It IS going very well! I just can't get over walking in the door, and people being happy to be there!! haha It's such a different expereince than what I'm used to at my old job! I'm very blessed!princess:

Happy Wednesday!! I hope everyone’s week is going good! Mine is! Work is lovely, and I’m learning a lot! The people are amazing, and it’s so fun! It truly is amazing how different two banks can be! Haha They had a fancy party for all the employees and stockholders last night, and I had a really great time! I hardly knew anyone, so I was pretty shy, but it was just awesome to be in that atmosphere, and see who all I will be working with/for! Ben and I got all dressed up, and everything! (I didn’t even take a picture, what was I thinking?!)
Before we went to the dinner party, I had to water my flowers, THEY ARE STILL ALIVE!! (That’s a tiny miracle right there!) I also decided I would go run a little outside! I’m trying to get back in shape (I used to run 5miles a day, but I quit due to my doctor’s instruction to “quit exercising and gain 10 pounds!”—You don’t hear that very often! Haha), and it’s a slow process! Anyway, the wind was blowing pretty good while I was running, but I soldiered on! It didn’t strike me that running into the wind in the middle of spring, with blossoming trees/flowers/plants(?) was probably not such a great idea until I stopped running, but my nose continued to! Let’s just say, I spent the rest of last night (even during the party) and all this morning blowing my nose and sneezing! BOOO! It feels like I have to sneeze constantly! (Don’t you hate that?!) Okay, that was a pretty long tangent, but I just wanted to let you know what happened! Haha
Here comes the Disney news! There’s a lot going on with Disney right now for me, and a lot of it is up in the air at this moment! Here’s the 411: I’ll start with the good news! Ben and I have decided to upgrade to DDP, which means I made more ADRs!! YAYAYAYAYAYAY! I’m super excited about that! I’ll let you know which ones I made in a second! But let me just say, I CAN’T WAIT TO EAT! It’s a beautiful thing, really! So, I will need to call and get upgraded, but I don’t want to call to upgrade until I know for sure the next detail I must share with you: I might have to postpone my trip a couple of weeks! (sad face) I don’t get vacation days until 6 months after my first day of employment, which will be roughly October 23rd! So, in order to get to go, we’ll have to postpone it ATLEAST until then! So, we’re looking at like October 24th-31st, or maybe even the beginning of November! Does anyone know how the crowds are during these times? I’m a little bummed that we will have to wait longer, but I’m excited that I’ll have a little more time to save money for the trip! Nothing is set in stone yet, so I’ll let you guys know when I know! One thing is for sure though, WE WILL GO TO DINSEY WORLD! With that being said, I will continue to do this PTR!
Sorry for the lack of pictures this one, guys! Here are a couple to make up for it!

Hahaha (thanks photobucket!)

I thought this was cute!
Have a great week!

I'm not really sure how the crowds are during that time! It probably won't be much different. You know, it could be a good thing postponing! If you play your cards right you could possibly experience Halloween and Christmas during the same trip!

Hey girlie! We have now decided to go in November! haha I'm about to post an update about it! So, basically we'll be there for the Christmas decorations now!:yay:
I'm super excited!! Even though I have to wait like an extra month, it will be worth it! :)

Sorry I've been MIA lately, but I'm about to go catch up on your TR, too!

I hope you are having a great week!:goodvibes

Okay, so I know it’s been a while! But, life man... you know it gets crazy sometimes! I’m just trying to adjust to my new schedule at work (that I LOVE by the way!) But, I’m here now! And, sorry for the lack of pictures on this update! I'll try to make it less painful with smilies!:dance3::wizard::yay:

Not too much has been going on other than work lately, but I DO have Disney trip news, and it’s a big one (to me at least)...
We aren’t going in October anymore! :(I know, it’s sad! Well, to me, it’s actually bittersweet.:):( Instead of October, we are now going in November (due to my new job and vacation day accrual). I was a little upset at having to wait longer to go, but then we finally got our dates finalized... We are going November 22nd (Thanksgiving—I know, I know, the crowds!) through November 29th! I was a little hesitant because of the crowds around Thanksgiving, but I looked at the crowd predictor, and it’s only showing that it will be really crowded on Thanksgiving Day, and the day after! It dwindles down every day after. The sweet part about this?! CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS!!!!:santa::santa::santa::cool1::cool2: I’m sososososo excited to see Disney decorated for Christmas, and the resorts as well! This also means we’ll be going to MVMCP!!YAYAYAY AND Osbourne lights AND the castle lights!! I’m so excited! I love Christmas way more than Halloween anyway, so it will be great! I do want to go back to Disney in Oct. sometime, so that just gives me a reason to take another trip! Haha:rotfl:
I’m sad that I won’t be going to Disney in October like I’ve planned, and I’m sad to be leaving the October 2012 group here on the Dis, but hopefully we can all still plan our trips together and stay in touch!
So, I now have to change my ticker, and I officially have 204 days ‘till Disney! (again lol) Another plus to this is that I’ll have longer to pay the trip off now, so it won’t kill us to get DDP! YAYAY AND I get to make ADRs again!(I like to do that haha) So, pretty much, I have been planning and re-planning tirelessly lately to make up for lost time!:surfweb: I have no clue really on what to expect in November, especially the week after Thanksgiving, so I have a lot to research! But, I have already made an itinerary for our days, and I’ll start putting them up here for you guys to see, and let me know what you think!
So, just disregard everything you have read about my upcoming trip, because it’s all about to change! Haha :lmao:
I’m actually kind of excited to plan this, it’s like planning a completely new trip (because it is!) I hope you will all stick with me! I have a lot of planning to do, and I need all of my friends on here to help a sister out!!!!
So, since I’ve got some time to make up, I’m going to start on Day 1&2 right now, and give general details!
Our new dates: November 22-November 29
Everything else is the same; we are still staying at pop, and we currently have QSP, but will be upgrading here pretty soon. (I seem to procrastinate on things that involve spending extra money, lol)
So, here we go!
Thursday, November 22, 2012---
Here’s a little background on my mom—she’s the most sentimental person I have met in my life! She keeps EVERYTHING I have ever touched (okay, not really but you get it), so not being home for a holiday is absolutely preposterous in her eyes(I get it though; I absolutely love being with my family during the holidays---well I like being with my family all the time, but you know what I mean! Haha) Needless to say, I knew I couldn’t book an early morning flight on Thanksgiving. (Even though my Dis-brain was telling me to, because I would have more time in the parks!) The flight I’m looking at booking leaves at 3:45, so that will give us plenty of time to eat lunch with my family and head out to WDW!
So, we’ll take off at 3:45 and won’t arrive to MCO until around 10:00—so no park time for us on this night! I don’t really mind that much, though, because the crowd level is at a 9 that day!:scared1: So, we’ll probably just grab a bite to eat, then go to bed... we have a Magical Kingdom to visit the next day!
Friday, November 23rd, 2012---
We are headed to MK!! This day is supposed to be very crowded as well—a 9!!! :scared1::eek:We’ll see how that goes! I’m not used to the crowds at WDW, but I figure if I plan correctly, things should go pretty smoothly!
This morning MK opens at 9:00am so we’ll wake up pretty early so we can make it to the MK for RD! I’ve never seen RD before, so it’s definitely a must do this trip!
I haven’t decided on whether we should eat breakfast before we leave POP or if we should wait and eat at Mainstreet bakery! I want to eat there, but with the crowds being so large, it might be a planning error not to try to obtain a FP right off the bat for a “big ticket” ride. We’ll be back to MK later in the trip so I’m sure I can get breakfast some other time, but I still don’t know what I’m going to do yet on this day!
My goal for today is to start with the more popular rides, like BTMRR and Splash, and take advantage of FPs! Since it’s going to be a busy day for the parks, I’m not exactly sure what we’ll get done, but here is what I want to get done!
-BTMRR
-Splash
-HM
-TSI
-Riverboat
-Space Mountain
-Lunch at CHH or PB
-Magic Carpets of Aladdin
-Tiki Room
-POTC
-JC
-Dole Whip!
-Watch the parade
-Tea Cups
-Phillarmagic
-‘Ohana!!!!
-MSEP
-Wishes!
We plan on staying ‘till 10pm (closing), so maybe we’ll get a lot of it done, but if not, we have more time later in the trip!
I’m not sure if I’ll be able to restrain myself from going into the new fantasy land this day, so I’ll probably try to work that in as well!
If you guys have any ideas, tips, or suggestions let me know! Sorry this post is uber boring, but I just had to let you know what was going on! Next update will be full of pictures, rainbows and sunshine! hahaha:thumbsup2

Oh wow! Big change of plans indeed! Well I for one think it's totally awesome that you get to see the Christmas decorations because they are PERFECT. You'll LOVE them! I'm with you on the whole Christmas beats Halloween thing! BY A MILE hahah.

Omg, if the new Fantasyland is open you MUST see everything! I cannot wait! Okay, so I've never been to the Main Street Bakery before, but maybe you could have a little something at POP, like some fruit or something, go to MK for rope drop, get in as many of the rides as you want, and then backtrack to the Bakery when you get hungry! It would probably be a lot less crowded there too if you waited a little bit! I've read about people doing that and it seems to work very well!

Oh, and I TOTALLY understand parents being sentimental. I think my parents would cry if me or my sister were absent for a big holiday. And the good news is that you'll avoid the big Thanksgiving day crowds! Awesome!!! :woohoo:

Hey girl! I'm getting more excited everyday for our new November trip! I can't wait to see and do all of the holiday things!!! And I'm SUPER excited that Fantasyland might be up and running (well some of it at least!)

Thanks for the advice on main street bakery! That sounds like a good idea! We'll probably do that!! :thumbsup2

haha Parents are funny sometimes! But, I do understand where they are coming from; I love to spend time with them, and I'm sure I would actually be pretty upset myself if I actually missed a holiday with them! And missing the crowds is just icing on the cake!:wizard:

Thanks for still reading along! I should have amazing updates soon! I've been having to be at work at 7:30am this week, so it's hard to do an update! hahaha:rotfl:

Good morning everyone!!! I just wanted to let you guys know to be expecting an update either tonight or tomorrrow! My work schedule is a little hectic right now, which is why I haven't been able to update like I want to! i have to be at work reallly early this week, and I usually update my PTR in the mornings, so it' s hard to do that when I'm already at work! haha

BUT, I will say that I have already pretty much made my frist draft of our schedule for the parks! So, be expecting that!

I hope everyone is having a great week! I'm excited about this week, becasue Thursday is my b-day!! yay!!!:goodvibes

I saw on the FB group that you moved your dates to November. Stinks that you have to wait longer but what a great time to go! When we plan our next trip, I think I want to go for the holiday season. I hear the weeks between Thanksgiving and mid-December are a great time to go because the crowds really aren't that bad. I'd love to see all the decorations. Are you planning to go to MVMCP? I went a few years back at the beginning of November. It's really cute!

Thanks girl! I am super excited now to go during November! I can't wait to see all of the Christmas decorations! :santa:

Yes, we are going to MVMCP! We are going on a Tuesday, so hopefully it won't be toooo packed!

I see that your cruise is getting close!!! I'm sure you are super excited! I think Ben and I might do a cruise in '14 then go to WDW after! :) We have been talking about that!

I hope you have a great weekend!

Oh, hello there! I know I said that I would update soon, but yesterday was my birthday, and I was busy busy busy all day! It was a great day!! I'll have to take a picture of all the things Ben got me! It was super cute! Let's just say, it was all "Disneyfied" :) haha

I'm at work right now, so I don't have any pictures I can post, so this will be short and sweet!

But I just didn't want you guys to think I'm not going to update, becasue I am! (probably tonight--I have to spend the night with my grandma---PARTY!!!!)

Have a great weekend!

Thanks so much! I had a great bday weekend! Very very busy, but it was awesome! I'll get some pictures up soon, but my photobucket is being dummmmbbbb right now! haha

Hope you have a great week!

Ahhh...date changes but Christmas decorations are so amazing! And how cool will it be if you get to see the Fantasyland expansion!

I had to laugh about you running in the wind...hmmm, it never blows here does it? :rotfl2:

Yes, I was a little thrown off by the wind that day, it never blows here!! hahaha:rotfl:
i just got back from Houston, and while I was there, I was missing that breeze that West Texas provides!! haha

I have been away from the DIS for a while, but I'm catching up now! I'm excited to read your updates!!

Have a great weekend!

Catching up on pretrips and saw your news about going in November. DD and I went in November (the week before Thanksgiving) for our mother/daughter trip and we loved being there for the Christmas decorations, Osbourn lights and MVMCP. Sometimes I wish we could go then instead of October since we always do the Halloween stuff, but we're locked into our dates because of fall break. I'm slightly jealous of you!
