400 Loop question.

I have been to FW several times. I've stayed in the 1300 loop twice, 900 loop and the 300 loop. We are planning to be at the Fort this Oct. and was thinking about requesting the 400 loop. Thing is, I rarely see anybody suggest this loop to anyone. Maybe I've just overlooked any comments about it. So, I figured I'd just start my own thread and ask what everybodies opinion was of loop 400. Thanks in advance.

It's a nice loop.

It is all premium sites now, so if you want to stay there, you need to reserve a premium site.

It shares a comfort station with the 500 loop (and the 700 loop). But, I have never seen a problem related to that.

It is a small loop, which means less traffic.

It is currently the closest premium loop to the Settlement area (700 loop has not had its conversion from preferred to premium yet).

It is the second closest premium loop to the dog park (500 is closer).

It is the furthest premium loop from the Meadows area and pool.

In general it is a nice loop. If you want to be closer to the Settlement than the Meadows, this is where you want to be.

We have stayed on this loop one time(2007) and really liked it.

Some of the sites are really close together and they can be really tight to get into. I really like the sites at the beginning and end of the loop. We were about a third of the way up the loop on the main road side. I didn't mind being on the main road but if I were in a pop-up it would be annoying(bus and golf cart noise). The comfort station was a short walk and I really liked how cozy the loop felt.

We also liked being able to walk right out the back of our site onto the walkway and straight to the settlement bus stop and marina area. We don't rent a golf cart and found this to be a great loop for people that ride the internal bus or want to be able to walk to the marina. I don't remember any pets on this loop but that is always up in the air with Disney. With all of that said, I think this loop has been upgraded and we won't be staying in it anymore. I don't feel there is enough to offer in the premium and preferred sites to warrant the price difference vs. a full hook up.:upsidedow JMHO

Hope this helps!:)

Thanks for the replies. Big help. I'm hoping that the upgrades will make it easier to back into the sites.
