40% off Military Discounts?

I see that a military person can get up to three rooms at discount rate up to 40% discount per rooms, My brother is the miliary personnel, could he get my husband and I a discount if he is not going? Or does the military person have to be with the person he sponsors? He is able to get family members (sister, parents and friends) discounts on tickets till Dec 2009, on the base, close to where we live. 5 days for $99.00 awesome deal, I'm thrilled about that. :thumbsup2

Thx Logpey

I wish they would offer this discount for Hilton Head Island resort. They seem to have no deals there for summer!

We were able to get 40% off CBR last month at least. And yes, the military person, with ID, has to be at check-in.

I think that he has to be with you for you to use these tickets. A military ID needs to be presented to get the tickets once at Disney. I may be wrong, but that is how I understand the rules. You may want to check before you spend the $$$ on tickets you cannot use.

I think you are right. The way I understand it is the soldier has to be present with ID when tickets are activated at WDW.

We are right... I just went back and read the information and the servicemember or a spouse with ID has to be present when tickets are activated at Disney.

Can the dining plan be added on after the room reservations are made? Got a room (40% off) at Pop for June this morning, but completely forgot about the dining plan. I was so surprised and delighted that Pop was still available. :goodvibes

YES! I believe I was told "up to 3 days prior to arrival."

We are planning a trip in September with my ILs. We were planning to stay at SOG. But we called last night and booked a cabin at Fort Wilderness. For our four-night stay with four adults, two children and the DDP, our grand total was $1450! What a great deal! Basically, we added the DDP to our total trip for a $225 difference over what we were going to pay at SOG (without any food included).

Yes, your DH qualifies!! My DH is in the National Guard, also and we are set to go December 2nd! :cool1: All you need to do is bring his military ID with you for check-in purpose. You can get 3 rooms at this rate... we reserved all three- one for us, one for another family and one for my sister. It is an awesome deal!:worship:

Do you all have to stay at the same resort?

I am not 100% on this, but I wouldn't think that you would have to be at the same resort... we are just out of desire to be close together, but I imagine you could do whatever you prefer.

Have a great time!
