40% Code POLL

What was your 40% code like?

  • I had numerical pin attached to my name or got from CM.

  • I was able to use the three letter Z _ _ code, from a postcard/email.

  • I was able to get the three letter code from a CM with no problems at all.

  • I had to call CRO tons of times and get mad to get a CM to give me the three letter code.

If you were able to book the 40% code ( like me and many others ) did you have a number PIN (I think its a 5 or 6 digit number code) or did you use the three letter "Z_ _" code? It seams to me that one of these codes may have been a public code. I was not one of the lucky who got a postcard or email, however I had no problem what so ever getting the code when I called Disney. I was not pushing or anything just asked if there was any discounts out and the CM happily gave me the three letter code. I called back again a few weeks after to add dining to our package and again had no problem what so ever with yet another CM who gave me the three letter code for the 40% off with dining. I'm just trying to understand why there is such a fuss over it.:confused3 :confused3
 
Actually, mine was none of the above. I had a 3 letter code but it didn't have a Z in it. I did have to call numerous times but I never got upset w/ a CM. I had the code and was able to apply it w/ out a problem.
 
I booked no trouble with Z-- code, but there were several codes floating around with this 40% discount, the Z code was the dining package with 40% off room portion. There was also a room only version that I believe was a B--
 
Had no trouble booking with the B code which is the room only code. I just called them up and asked if I could use it. I was told yes and no problem. I only had to call once.
 

Mine was sort of "None of the above" before I realized that there was a big issue with these codes, I called and asked if I was eligible for the code. The CM said, just a moment while I see if there is a notation on your account. He said that there was, that I should have received a postcard or email. (I didn't)
He applied the code and voila.... we have a countdown!
 
I rec'd a Pin # in the mail....verrryyyy lloonnngggg #!! Used it! Already back!
 
Humm...from the looks of the poll many of us called and asked too see if there was any discounts and got the code from the CM with no problems. The CM I spoke to told me it was printed in the newspaper.:confused3 :confused3
 
I had to call several times, but i never got mad cuz i didn't get it. I simply hung up and called back later or on a different date. After trying on/off for about a week, i finally had a CM that just gave it to me after i mentioned if there were any specials attached to my name since i had visited x amount times during the past so many seasons.
 
no idea.. my ta called and made my reservations when the code first came out
 
Mine was a none of the above thing. I called and asked if I had any discounts on my household for October. They said no you have one for Feb/Mar.

I said ok please try and book Oct 25 - 28 at AKL with the ZFZ code. No problem - got it 40% of room portion.

Called back and asked a second CM if there was a problem with my rate - she said no - there is a pin code attached to your household. She did not check that pin code cause it was for Feb/Mar

My ressie looks just fine on WDW site and I have no stress about it at all.
 
I called CRO armed with the code, but was told that I didn't have a pin # with my household and couldn't use code. I didn't complain or force the issue.

I don't know what you have to do to have a pin attached to your name. It's like the lottery. I have stayed on property, registered with disney.com, was a Disney magazine subscriber, ordered from disney catalog/website, everything I can, but no pin.
 
I made reservations and from reading various boards called back and asked if there was any special rates available at AKL. I had already had reservations at another location, but had heard someone booked AKL for a really really good price. The CM gave me the nightly rate which was close to the value resort rate and I asked what discount this was. He said i was sent a special offer with a discount code.I replied I never noticed anything and he said no problem. He explaned that when they send out the codes they attach them to your information in the computer. This was so cool. I am so excited to be staying at AKL for the first time. It will be our 1 year anniversary!!!!:love:
 
I called ONE time, I've never been there before (okay once when I was 9 in 88) I gave the CM the Z code... all went off with out a problem... :thumbsup2 I dont know if it was attached to my name I didn't ask didn't want to push my luck!
 
We've tried calling twice to get the code rate but no luck for us. CM said we needed pin.
