I have a very sensitive, shy just turned 4 year old who would prefer to be with her younger sister, 2, in the nursery than by herself in the kids club. Is that a possibility? Of course I’d rather her go to the one for her age but as long as she’s happy and my husband and I can go to one dinner, the extra expense is worth it.

As noted the nursery is for ages 6 mo through 3. I doubt that you'd be able to drop off your 4 year old there.

I'd suggest attending at least the first (embarkation day) Open House in Oceaneer's Club with your daughter and introducing her to the CMs there (it really doesn't matter much if those are the ones who will actually be working the night she comes to play, as they all dress alike). It could make her more comfortable with staying there one night while you dine. Discussing your concerns with the Youth Activities CMs could also be beneficial.

DCL has hard limits on the upper ages and kids cannot “age down” to a younger group for any reason. I would take her to Open House a few times so she can become familiar with the space, the counselors, the activities, etc. I suggest planning your adult dinner for later in the cruise rather than one of the earlier nights.

Enjoy your cruise!
