Thankfully the swelling is down. That's a step in the right direction.


It is a day to day thing with Scotty. Today he was able to ride his bike for 22 miles today and ran close to 2 miles today. That is a small victory. He saw his Dr on Friday and she took a bunch of blood tests again but it seems to me that they are the same blood tests that she has been running for 13 months. Honestly did she think that he was suddenly developed one of the diseases that she tested for before? On Friday she finally listened to me and set him an appointment for a CT scan and refer him to neurology. Hopefully we will figure this out. Thank you for asking.

The thing that made me mad was that she actually said, "sometimes we are sick with no explanation." She has still not tested him for Lyme disease. I am just frustrated. Yes, it has been a good day. He used to go for 40 mile rides and longer runs. But, baby steps. Thank you.

It was a Wreck it Ralph weekend here too. Watched it yesterday and then the kids wanted to watch it again today so we did.

I hope it is...going to keep the splint on until Friday and see how she's doing at that point!

Saturday March 2nd ~ day one / part one


we arrived at Sea Tac, got through security, got some breakfast and hung out at the gate with 3 other dance familes...flight was on time and smooth!

we landed a few minutes early, got off and headed out to the shuttle pick up area, within 20 minutes of landing we were on our way to our hotel - flying with carry-on luggage made it so much quicker!

checked in to our hotel Marriott Fairfield, room wasn't ready so we got changed, checked our luggage in and headed to the ticket booth! it was around 1230 by this point!

when we got to the booth and I requested to buy 2 premier AP's the CM was taken aback ....she asked me if I knew how much they cost, yup and had been saving for months for them (they will allow us to go to both DLR and WDW parks with it and is saving me $$ in the long run) was a good chunk of $$ to pay at one time, but worth it in the end!

after getting our APs we headed to DCA and picked up our PhotoPass + card and headed over to see Carsland!

as you can see its like walking into the movie! its themed so great! unfortunately the wait times were way to long, so we grabbed a snack and headed out...we would be back on Monday!

Carsland looks so neat! I have read rumors that it may be coming to HS in Florida. Too bad the lines were too long to take in the attractions.

day one / part 3

I had heard from Kris that they were stuck in traffic...so we headed over to Paradise Pier!

saw our guy Goofy directing the Instant Concert ... just add water show

the little mermaid ride had a 5 minute wait, so we headed under the seas

then headed over to one of our favorite things to do at DCA - Animation Academy... we got to draw Tigger - oops didn't upload photos of them, will get them added later

after looking through a couple stores, we decided to hang out in the "hub" and saw a friend of Megan's from dance - Indira and her mom

and watched a street performance of "Five & Dime" a fun jazz group

and got some photopass pics with our Jazzy Goofy (will post them later, waiting for my CD to come in)

all during this time was texting back and forth with Kris about their location and they were finally in the park getting Kylee's GAC card, so we headed over to meet them!

the kids were so happy to see each other again!

day one / part 4


we waited for a bit as Kris and family had met up with some other friends from their Mito FB group over in Bug's land, we were able to get to know Robbie, Heidi and their little girl Savannah (8months) a bit, they are the CM's who pixie dusted the family with tickets and so much more....the kids rode Flik's Flyers, but I never got a good shot of them

we then headed over to take a flight over California

after Soarin we caught the last couple minutes of "Minnies Fly Girls"

before heading through DTD to our dinner at Goofy's Kitchen

for some reason I don't have a group shot of us with Goofy at the beginning, but here's a special one with us with Minnie

Kris pixie dusted us with matching t-shirts for the night!

Robbie and Heidi also surprised us all with tickets to preview the new Fantasy Faire on Sunday morning!


we unfortunately didn't have the best service or character interaction....we were there for 2 hours and had to asked 3 times for Mulan and 5 times for Alice to come to our table...only got 1 drink refill and had piles of dirty plates ...at least the food was good!
after dinner Heidi and I went to the check in counter and complained (we have eaten there on many different trips so knew this was an off night) we spoke to the manager and told her how upset we were and she refunded the entire bill back to Scott and Kris (they wanted to treat us for everything we all had done for them, Heidi did have a special 50% off coupon she was able to use)
after dinner we all took a restroom break while visiting with Kylee's bestie Sami and her mom for a bit (they live locally and came down to say hi)
and the kids were looking at the store in the lobby and Scott hadd started talking about the trip with a CM Nicole and I was telling her about the dinner issues, she asked all the kids who there favorite characters were and gave them each a little pixie dust of a photo

after thanking Nicole and saying good-bye to Sami and her mom (Kris I can't remember her name) it was time to head back to DCA to watch World of Color --- Robbie works there and was able to get us into an area just minutes before it started!

after a fun night, we headed out and back to our hotels...Sunday was going to be filled with more pixie dust, fun and laughes!!!

it really is! I've heard that too, will be a great addition to DHS! no worries we did ride RSP on Monday, but missed the other two rides, will get them on our next trip!

ETA: Just read all of the news. So sorry about Goofy's Kitchen. It was nice of them to refund the entire bill; but, I know you would much preferred to have it paid for it and received better service. Everybody looks so happy! I am glad.

Yeah!!! You started. What a great start to your TR. I can't believe all the details you took at Carsland. I really slacked on the picture part. I still can't believe it only took you 2 hours to get to Disney from Seattle.. Yet took us 3 1/2 hours..which should of only taken 90 min. So upset we missed most of the day. At least Kylee's green light pass made up so they at least got on 2 rides

Kylee's best friend Sami's mom name is Kara. The other 2 CM was Jeff and Nancy. They were the ones that got Kylee the Pluto pillow Pet. Here's a family group with Goofy.. Oh.. Thank you for getting our money back. Really..we would of never known the service..minus the drinks and lack of getting our dirty plates
