4 Parks + 5 Staples in the Baby's Head = 9 Magical Days!! (9/17 The Last Hurrah!)

Just discovered the TR! What fun! I love the pictures, you have made some fantastic memories with your BEAUTIFUL family.

Looking forward to more!

Well, now that really makes me want to really do two days in Epcot now. The passports how fun my kids would love that. Did your kids look foward to getting them signed in each country? Cute pic of your dd on the bridge w/ her mask.

I would definitely recommend more days in EPCOT :)
As for the passports, my kids looked forward to the masks and charms more (but I have a 4 and 6 year old - yours are older).
However, when we got home and sat down to add the stickers, they had a blast and I was soooo happy we did it.
They loved me trying to read the message in all the languages.
And they even colored the "extra" pages with their own memories of EPCOT - I'll post those later.

Thanks for posting pictures of the passport. My DB is taking his 1 and 4 year old in Feb and I was telling him about them(thanks to you) Now I"m going to link that page so he can see what they look like. Your kids look like they are having a blast. Can't wait for more.

Had to break
"tradition" and not be the first to get back to you :) Hubby has returned and now I get less time on the computer. :headache:

Love your pictures of China. Our favorite thing there was listening to the "concert" of Chinese woman playing a zither of some sort as we waited for the China movie. It was breathtaking music!

I've never come across the Chinese garden! Where is that???!!!

I just read your entire report so far, it's excellent. Looks like you guys had a wonderful trip. I can't wait to read the rest.
My dd9 can't wait to go to epcot and walk through the world showcase, she's very interested in all of that stuff. I did'nt know about the passports, we're definately doing that. How much did they cost?

Oh and I just love the picture of X on the payphone. He looks like a little man.

The little "garden" is right to the right of the pavillion.
As you walk in toward the Temple of Heaven, there's a path that goes right in a semi-circle and there's serene plants, waterfalls, and lizards there.
We actually met the CM who was the caretaker and talked to her for a little while before DD posed with her mask. :)

The passports were about $10 - one of the best deals I've seen yet for a WDW souvenir.
As I said, during the trip the kids were more focused on coloring their charms.
When we got home, we had a great time reflecting on the trip and adding the stickers.

On the way out of China, Mom noticed the next Food & Wine booth was New Delhi and she couldn’t pass up a somosa.
While Mom went to the booth, our princess decided to pose:

All three kids by this point were very antsy so the next stop was very appropriate.
We headed toward the small little African Outpost between China and Germany.
I basically told the kids to go explore but they were very tentative about the drums.
I told them to go ahead. “Are you sure?” was the response.
I tried to explain that the outpost was there so kids could explore.
X didn’t have any such issues so I placed him down next to two drums that were bigger than he was

DS saw this and immediately found some others close by

DD climbed next to X:

And pretty soon we had a jammin’ session.
The more interesting thing was that all the other people were walking right past without even looking in here.
But once we started jammin’, kids started to come out of the woodwork.
It was like the kids were World Showcase Players themselves – X must have added us to the schedule during his rewrite! :)

Here’s a video of X but you can clearly hear DS in the background going to town.
Looks like we may have inadvertently started a band.
Enjoy the sounds of The Capell Five:

Next up - Lederhosen, Dwarves, and Gingerbread Men! Oh My!

I'm loving your TR! I just spent the last hour catching up! We just got back from WDW and I think next time I should go with your family!!!!:rotfl: Your wife is very organized and LOVE the matching outfits for everything! Can't wait to hear and see more pics!!!!

I so love the fact that there is always something to see "next time". We've never wandered into the outpost (knew it was there, but just didn't bother checking it out), so we'll have to take the time to at least take a look-see. What else is there besides the drums?? Souvenir carts, cast members from Africa?, food or drink?

Thanks again for sharing some really fun photos!!

The video of X drumming is darling. My DS didn't hesitate when he saw those drums.

That is cool about the echo in China. I never knew about it. Will have to try it next time. Of course, we still haven't seen the soldiers either.

Great review. Your kids are wonderful. It looks that you had a great time and fun. Looking forward for more...

Have a nice day. :)

Besides the drums, there's some crates and I believe someone was doing face painting.
We wandered through quickly but the drums were definitely the highlight.

Your kids are just too cute!:goodvibes I didn't even know Africa was in the World Showcase! I learn something new everday.:disrocks:

After our musical interlude, we continued along our trek heading to Europe and the Germany pavilion.
The courtyard is a beautiful plaza with a statue of St. George slaying the dragon in the middle of a fountain.
Here’s us in St. Georges Platz but apparently St. George himself was cropped out.
The pitfalls of handing over the camera to one’s fellow tourist I guess.
Still, it’s a nice picture of the family.

It was around 12:15 or so now and we had a 1:00 ADR at Biergarten leaving enough time for pictures.
The kids were begging for Kidcot by now but since Mom had specifically worn her Grumpy T-shirt today, we had to find Snow White.
I tracked down a CM and he said she was coming out around 12:30.
So the kids lucked out and we got to play at Kidcot first.
Mom wandered around with X in the stroller hoping to put him to sleep but it didn’t work.
I hung out with the kids as they colored their charms.
Finally Mom called my cell phone saying to come quick – Snow White was coming.
We packed up the charms and masks and dashed out to meet Mom.
Neither kid was very enthused to see Snow again (we saw her this morning at Akershus) but I wanted the picture with Mom.
Luckily Photopass was on hand for a nice picture:

Mom then pointed out that she came prepared for this shot.
Snow White liked Mom’s shirt so much, they both decided to imitate Grumpy.
This was a great shot (and you can even see Spaceship Earth in the distance):

I was hoping to run into Dopey here but the CM said Dopey didn’t arrive until 1:00.
I figured this was our only shot to see a dwarf so I walked over to Biergarten and asked if we could check in but wait outside (our ADR was also at 1:00).
The hostess said to just come back when we were ready to go in.
So we headed back to Kidcot to complete our creations. This time the charms were gingerbread men.
DS ripped off one hand and colored his to be Anakin Skywalker:

And we made sure to stamp each passport as well:

DD’s says Happy Birthday in German:

Then Mom hung back, and I wandered around a bit.
The Wine Cellar was pretty cool and I was very tempted to get some wine but lunch was almost here and I needed some caffeine instead.

Next I found the toy store and went back to get DD. I just had to show her all the baby dolls.
She was very impressed and we spoke with the CM there for a little while.
At about 12:50, we packed up again and headed out to wait for Dopey.
While we waited, I noticed the tower in the lagoon had an interesting logo on it.
So, of course, I zoomed in and took a picture:
Disney2008712a.jpg

Dopey finally arrived but with no Photopass photographer.
Then the photographer showed up but was having camera issues.
So I snapped away on my camera:

I thought this one was really cute and Dopey had the kids cracking up.

Finally, the Photopass photographer was ready so we managed a nice group shot (and even got Spaceship Earth in the distance)

With that, we ran back to the pavilion to make our ADR.
Tune in next time to see how it turned out.
And bring a stein – you may need it…

I love the "Grumpy" pic with Snow White. That was great that Biergarten let you wait to get that shot with Dopey. The shot of him covering the kids faces is too cute.
