The Cast... Myself, DH, 2 DSs 3 & 6, and our neighbors, 2 adults, and 2 DSs, 4 & 6. We stayed at ASMO and were very happy there. The other couple hadnt been in 17 years and their kids had never gone, so they wanted to do whatever I planned...no pressure there. ;)

Wednesday 8/27

We started off today with breakfast at Chef Mickeys. Our PS was at 8:15 so we opted to drive, figuring it would be the safest way to get us there on time. We arrived at 8:00, had our pictures taken and were seated immediately. As always, this was a great time, lots of food & fun. The other family had no idea what to expect at a character meal and they loved it. The highlight was on our way out, Goofy got the 4 boys down on the floor doing push ups with him. It was absolutely adorable!

After breakfast it was off to MGM. My main goal was to get there in time for the 10:45 show of Indiana Jones. We were doing so well on time that I thought we may be able to squeak in The Little Mermaid before that, but the timing of LM would have made us late for IJ. So, we skipped Little Mermaid and went over to Indiana Jones. The kids all loved that show…anything where people get "hurt" is a hit with them. Next it was off to the Muppets with about a 10 minute wait. We then had to cross the park again to catch the 12:30 show of Playhouse Disney. We had just enough time to do the Back Lot Tour before going to the 2:45 show of Beauty & The Beast. After leaving B&TB we noticed there was a "13 minute" wait for Tower of Terror. We decided to do the child swap there so DH and I got in line. While there they made an announcement that 1 elevator was down now and your wait would be longer than originally posted. The line wasn’t moving at all and we knew the kids would be getting restless (our next stop was dinner), so we left the line and got FPS for later. We went to Pizza Planet for a bite to eat, and the kids played in the arcade until it was our FP time, when we returned to TOT. After riding, it was about 6:00. It had been a long day so we decided to head back to the hotel for a dip in the pool. We wanted to have an early night since we were doing Early Entry in the morning.

We seemed to do a lot more walking around here than we usually do. The times of the shows we wanted to see didn’t seem to flow as easily as usual. It wasn’t a problem for us as MGM is a fairly small park, but I just noticed us doing a lot of park crossing.

routine.......I always have to see Indiana Jones there and also at home....if it is on TV I end up watching it......thanks again for a great day

we also felt that the show times did not work well with us this year....alot of extra walking & 92 degree heat didn't help matters any....enjoying your trip report.....

I actually had a pretty good plan seeing things in the same area at the same time, but then a week before the trip I saw B&TB didnt have the first show until 2:45 and that messed up my whole plan.;)

What a perfect way to start the day at Chef Mickeys. I love that place.

I always end up all over the place at MGM . And for some reason I get confused and get mixed up on the backlot street and it takes me twice as long to get somewhere.

Wonderful trip reports ~ Thanx for sharing!!
