Villas, not suites (DVC doesn't have suites), have dish washers in the one bedroom and larger (full kitchens in those), but not all the refrigerators have ice makers. But there are ice makers on each floor or each building. You will have ice trays to make ice. Studios have paper plates, paper bowls, real glasses (maybe only four), real mugs (maybe only two) and plastic forks, spoons and knives.I'm considering investing in DVC, but am honestly surprised to see this. I guess I assumed that, when booking a DVC suite, you would have real dishes, real glasses, real silverware, etc. When I stay in comparable hotels of any other chain (which I do often for business), this is the set-up. Without ever having stayed in a larger DVC suite, is there a dishwasher in the kitchen? If not, I guess it would make more sense to have disposable stuff. Are there pots and pans to make meals? Or is the assumption that you're only having quick meals in the room?
One bedroom and larger also have washers and dryers. Studios have access to a free laundry room near pools (OKW and SSR) or in a single room in the hotel style buildings. OKW is the only resort with full sized washers and dryers. All the rest are stackables.
