4 or more FP's ?

For those who have been there and used the FP+ system, how many more FP's did you get after your first 3 ? Was it even worth the time to go to a kiosk and look for another pass? If you did go to a kiosk, did you ever find any of the headliners available?

Going in March and this is our first trip using FP+ as we used to use the paper FP's a great deal and knew how to maximize that system.

If you could, please share your experiences.

Thanks !

I've never actually counted, but somewhere between 5 and 10 additional FPs seems pretty typical for us at MK.

On our last trip, at the kiosk, we were pretty much able to only get fast passes to things that really did not need a FP. One day, an awesome cast member worked for almost twenty minutes to get us fast passes to Midway Mania. She was successful and it was cool to see her work her magic.

At MK last month I think we rolled at least 10 more and actually could have gotten more but we were tired and left early.

The Touring Plans website shows FP+ availability in close to real time. I can't vouch for its accuracy, but it seems pretty comprehensive. However, it cannot adjust for the size or your party. Still, it is seems to be the best source for making predictions that I have found. With a membership, you can play around with the site to answer your question. For example, assume you use your third FP around noon. Just go on to the TP website someday at noon and take a look at what is available. If you check back hourly from noon until 7:00 p.m., you can see how the trends develop for the parks you are interested in.

Any luck with the mountains or the 7-dwarfs train?
We go when it's fairly busy. I feel like we've gotten Splash mountain and I know we've gotten BTMRR. I'm not sure about Space Mountain (it's not a particular favorite of ours.)

7DMT is pretty unlikely.

I think the best thing to do is to take whatever comes up available as a 4th fastpass at the kiosk, then change time or experience on your phone. My daughter wound up with Anna and Elsa earlier this month doing it that way. I did the same last month and was able to get several good rides over the week.

Just because something isn't available at that moment, doesn't mean it won't be available in 5 minutes when some random person drops it

We went through 6 (3, plus 2 additional, and 1 unrestricted/anytime from the resort) yesterday. And boy we covered a lot of ground. We used our unrestricted on a 50 min wait at splash mountain after the monsoon cleared and the sun came out!

We crushed the rides yesterday at MK using EMH and the light rain (pre-monsoon) to our advantage. It was both awesome to do and exhausting.

This.

I am usually touring alone, and this is always my strategy. I've come up with Soarin', Anna & Elsa, and 7DMT this way. It only takes a few seconds to hit "Modify" and see what pops up.

Have fun!

Can someone please explain when you can get more fastpasss. I have booked my 3 per day. When I have used them can I get more and how and where?

Once you use all three, you have to then go to a FP kiosk or I would assume you could go to guest relations for help. You scan your band/card and it will tell you who is eligible for more. Select all party members that want them and then it gives you a list of available rides. Select the one you want, then the time. Done! The key here is once you select it, you can now go online in the MDE app and adjust if needed or if you just want to see if other FPs open up.

So I have to have used all 3 fastpasss before I can get another one?

It does reach a point later in the evening when another FP+ isn't worth the time to stop at a kiosk. Last summer, we picked up a FP+ for Haunted Mansion for about 9 pm. We arrived at the gate at the same time as another family but they beat us to the stretch room because we had to stop and scan twice. We were the only two groups in the pre-show.

It depends on when you are visiting. 9:00 pm mid-summer will still be very crowded.

First week of June 2014. It was a crowd level 8 day and EMH morning. I think a lot of guests got tired and left after being up too early. The evening was wide open. The park was open until midnight and the crowds were very light. No FP+ required.

Can anyone give examples of rides that still have FP later in the day? My plan is to RD and use advance FPs all before nap time (roughly 1pm). When we return to the park around 4-5pm what can I expect to pick up a FP for? I'm thinking MK.

Our experience was: Space Ranger Spin, Pirates, and of course the kid rides that didn't need FPs to begin with. But it really depends on your party size and a multitude of factors.
