4 gigs of pics, 3 blisters, 2 pairs of new shoes, 1 bleeding toe = our great trip!

We are planning a 2010 trip. I'm still on the fence, starting to get a bit bitter at the price hikes for this year. Disney is beginning to get out of my reach. We're going to a grand-gathering with about 50 other people, that is the only reason I'm considering going again, if it weren't for that I'd have us skip a year or two.

I give you a little hint. I, too, will be at WDW in 2010. :p

More great photos!

We just got back and I ABSOLUTELY loved the Nemo musical as well. Did my best to get some good pictures with my wife's camera, so I'll be interested to see how they turned out.
Sad about memories getting fuzzy....but hey....you've got pictures and this Trip Report as Wonderful Reminders!

What camera/lens did you use for these? I really struggled with the lighting that changes CONSTANTLY :headache:. I was spinning my f-stop dial like a roulette wheel through that show. I also filled my card and was having to go through and delete fuzzy/badly lit ones while replacing them with "good" ones. Didn't realize my card was so close to full! With it being rainy that day, my gear was all wrapped up and I wasn't able to get to it quickly. Live and learn....next time check the memory before starting a show like that.

What happened?? MIA??? popcorn::popcorn::

I promise I will try to get to some today. I'm soooo close to being finished. Both DDs have been sick, DH is actually at the doctors now. Work has also been overwhelming - PLUS my oldest DD is in our local theater production of 'Alice in Wonderland' that has been an all consuming event!!!

When in 2010 are you and DW planning on going? Would be cool if it were the same time we were to be there and could have a mini-meet.

I hope your daughters will get well soon.

We booked our next trip for 2010 from Nov 28 to Dec 8. It is going to be a long wait. PTR has just started. Mini-meet would be awesome if possible.

On her camera, we used the Indoor Party setting and left the flash down(off).

With all the movement in the show, most pictures were either blurry to semi-blurry. Several pictures turned out with almost no blur and are pretty good. I got a few great photos during the Tank scenes whenever there wasn't too much movement going on.

If you have a 50mm (at least) f1.8 - that will be your best bet for photographs for these indoor shows. That is what I used on the Nemo show - most of my best photos were the tank portion also, seemed to use the most complimentary lighting during that part.

Would love to update, but right now DH, DDs and I are in Southeast Texas. We head to NOLA tomorrow :D. Won't be home until after we leave ATL next weekend. I feel so bad that I stalled out on the last day of the TR .

Yes, the bandwidth issue *sigh* - I started this TR using my photobucket account....the free one. Apparently everytime someone looks at this TR it uses up bandwidth - the photos disappear around the beginning of the month, but the new cycle (where you can see them again) starts up on the 18th of the month. They should be there now :thumbsup2. Hope you enjoy reading what I wrote. As a side note, I switched to a paid for SmugMug account about mid-TR, so those photos don't disappear :goodvibes.

Just got back from being out of town for 11 days. Had DD in the emergency room last night until 4:30 this morning *yawn* - she's fine but was in terrible pain yesterday. Think she had food poisening.

Don't have any projects for work this week, so I'm hoping I can get this TR wrapped up....once I get us all unpacked from our 1,700 mile (driven) vacation :scared1:.

That was a great TR!

I was wondering what you use for photo editing software? I am a fan of lightroom myself.

I have CS3 that I use. Don't have a TON of experience with it. Mainly I can crop and adjust levels and contrast :rotfl:. I have looked @ lightroom, I know that there are a lot of photogs on here that use it. I have a few software's on my wishlist for Christmas - we'll see if Santa delivers :rolleyes1.

Lightroom is great for doing a lot of pictures. I am sure you have heard it all before on here, but one more time can't hurt :P

I am lucky, I have LR, and CS4. As well as photomatix for hdr's; which I haven't really gotten into yet.

Did you do any pano's. I know cs3&4 have a very similar pano maker that works good.
I am really looking forward to a few monster pano's.

I would say out of all your shots, the night shots stand out the most. As well as a few awesome shots with the fisheye!

For learning/help with adobe product like photoshop/lightroom check out iTunes podcasts...

I did a pano on the trip before this one using my Canon Rebel. It was my first ever attempt at taking a photo so large. Saying that, I don't think it's too bad. When I had it printed off through WalMart at their standard size it was very pixelated. I have no idea why. As a result, I didn't have it blown up to full size. :(

I had every intention of doing that again on this past trip, but without DH to corral DDs for a time, it just wasn't possible. Maybe next trip I can get that accomplished.

As for favorite shots, I prefer taking photos at night. I struggle during the day. The fisheyes were my favorite all the way around. I rented one after reading TopDog's TR. I've rented it a few more times since then and really like playing with it. I'm hoping DH will surprise me @ Christmastime with one to keep. Although, it will probably just be a receipt since they seem to be on backorder through everyone who sells them.

Here's my pano from 2008 - (it was only 3 frames wide).

Last night and this morning I read through the entire thread. You've taken some awesome pictures! Sounds like you and the girls had a wonderful time. :thumbsup2
