Wanted to add a sad observation before I begin the ending of this fantastic "girls only" vacation that DDs and I took.......whilst editing my photos for the next installment, it occured to me that the trip is starting to get fuzzy in my memory. That point really makes me sad.
I planned for over a year for this trip - took too many notes to carry in the camera bag - paintsakenly planned our table service restaurants so that we had new experiences added to what have become family favorites.
I poured for hours over menus to make sure that my picky Angelina would be able to have something different that chicken nuggets and french fries, checked, rechecked and double checked the times schedules to make sure that we were maximizing park time. .......only to have it all begin to fade into blips and bursts of memories. I remember Angelina screaming "THIS IS AWESOME" on TT, because we still talk about it today - I don't remember all of the little bits and pieces. So sad. I wish there was a way I could record my memories, directly from my head to preserve them forever. I guess it's good that I took so many photos, I may not remember what was said just before I pushed the shutter button that made someone make a Goofy face, but I do remember that we had the time of our lives.
Sadly, my TR is beginning to wrap up and come to an end. Wanted to give everyone a very quick thank you for being patient while my life became manic and I couldn't get here to update while everything was fresh.
I have proofed another set of photos and will do my best to fill in the gaps typing in the times that my camera was in the bag instead of in my hands.......
Now........
On with the show...............
We had just ridden KRR and both girls were soaked to the bone. I felt so bad for Gabriella, especially because since we were leaving today - everything was packed up tight in the car. Also, I felt bad for her because since it was rainy - it wasn't especially hot out today. She was cold, poor thing!
The rain had slowed to a very light mist, so I pulled out the camera for a few foilage pictures....
The whole entire trip there was ONE thing I wanted to do and that was catch one of the live shows. Angelina always veto'd my requests because they "weren't rides". Today I pulled the Mother-Trump card and overrode her decision. We started walking towards the ToL.....I let them be kids for a few minutes:
We stopped and watched the people screaming on EE for a few minutes. Was so damp I didn't even pull out the camera to try and get a good photo of this - even though a slow-shutter speed (to show coaster motion) photo was on my photography list for this trip. There's always next time, right?
After that we continued to meander until we were at the Nemo show. The line was short(ish), so we decided to get into it. Angelina was so-so about seeing it. Gabriella had decided that I'd basically earned this show since I'd been saying I wanted to do one of these since before we'd even left TN. I was bound and determined to get a few good low light photos of this show. We lucked up and were taken right into the venue without having to wait too long. We were down in the very front section, slightly to the right - about 5 bleachers back :excited:. As far as I was concerned this was perfect!!!!
We sat for about 45 minutes while the theater filled to capacity. Chatted with a grandmother/mother/daughter(granddaughter) trio for most of the time. I don't remember where they were from or what we talked about. I do remember that time seemed to fly because we were entertained.
Finally the lights went dim and I started getting goosebumps because I'd waited the entire trip to see this show!!!!!
Nemo staring as a tiny fish-egg....
Nemo leaving for "school".....
Fish are our friends :sing:......
Swiming through the jellyfish!
Meeting up with some 'dudes'.....
Staying in the acquarium for a bit.....
Nemo saves the day.....
Those are the highlights. I actually took so many pictures that my card filled up and I started having to look (i.e., squint) at the LCD screen to try to delete the bad ones so I could take more. I'm sure the people sitting around me thought I was nuts. I loved the show. When it ended I actually had tears in my eyes (I'm such a sap) and Gabriella asked me what was wrong. Too sweet, I explained to her that I was happy that one of my Disney dreams for this visit was just fulfilled. I HIGHLY recommend this show to everyone who goes to WDW. It's around 40-50 minutes long, so does take up a big chunk of time - it's worth every minute of time spent watching. What an amazing show......
That's all the photos I have edited right now.....
Up next - the final two rides we'll go on, on this go round.....you'll NEVER in a million years guess what they were.
