4. This evening DD fell out off the couch and has a HUGE goose egg on her forehead.....

Anyone taking bets weather we make it to Disney or Bust (literally) :rotfl:

Am I the only one that has things like this happen to them right before a trip?!?!?!

I keep repeating, "What doesn't kill me will make me stronger!!!!" The STRESS this week is out of control! We leave Friday, and DS8 has a huge group science project due the Monday we get back from Mardi Gras holidays!!! Soooo...guess what we did all weekend? Tomorrow after school we will meet with the group and assemble the project. Imagine my chagrin when I had to call the other parents and ask them to work on the project early as we will be in Disney for the entire break- how mortifying!

DD4 had another project due Tuesday. She also needs her wagon decorated for her parade on Friday. I have to complete 2 sets of lesson plans, since we are not getting back until Sunday night and lesson plans are due Monday (the 11th) morning. DS8 has tutoring on Tuesday and Thursday, at least 4 tests this week and....

I haven't even packed yet :sad2:

I can't wait for the Lapu Lapu at the Poly!!!!!!

ETA: I hope everyone feels better soon...and your toe...OUCH! That hurts!

DS3 got croup 6 days before our trip. We are now 3 days before and he's a bit better, but still coughing and sneezing a lot, and having trouble sleeping.

And now DW and I are getting sick. But being sick at WDW is still better than being at here.

Well at least I am in good company :rotfl:

I slathered benadryl all over DS
Gave DH nyquil
I have a Lanacain patch on my knee
I told DD she would look like a magical unicorn at Disney which made her happy:rotfl:

ONE WAY OR ANOTHER I AM GOING TO DISNEY AND NOTHING WILL STOP ME!!!

PS.... after posting the first post our dishwasher just broke :rotfl: :lmao:
It seems one of the kids, who was in charge of loading it, decided a key chain needed to be washed .... now the motor is trashed and I had to try and order a part for it and have it shipped overnight so it will be here before we leave....

Hey, we leave in 4 days too!

Don't feel bad, I dropped a heavy, solid metal bar on my foot four days before we left on a tour of England, France and Amsterdam. :scared1:

Thankfully nothing was broken, just horribly bruised. It hurt like hell for the first day, but I made it and I'm sure you guys will too. After all, this is Disney we're talking about here, and miracles can happen at Disney, right?

The night before we went to Disney, we had cops at our house, and a crazy guy outside our house. I thought for sure my trip was ruined because of it, but nope. The next day we just let it go out of our heads, and we really enjoyed ourself.

It seems like something will always go wrong right before you leave, don't fret.

Last May, DH broke his big toe the day we left for a 10 day trip to WDW.

We had to rent an off-site scooter the entire time because he could not walk at all. Ohhhhh.....

**Hope everyone is well soon.

I can only help you with the toe. Get some first aid tape, and tape your little toe to the two next to it. Your toe isn't actually broken, it's dislocated (amazing, isn't it, that I can diagnose through the computer and I'm not even a doctor :teeth:!) and there's really little that can be done for you. I mean, you could see a doctor and have it reset, but that's going to hurt more, and you're still going to have to keep it taped for a while.

DH is a boy scout leader and does the first aid for the troop..he said the same thing about my toe.

We woke up this morning and the swelling is down on DD forehead...just a nice little bruise.

I am loading the kids up on airborne .... not sure if it really works but I am not taking chances :rotfl:

Wow, we leave in 6 days and we seem to be having the same luck as ya'll! My DH slipped down the front steps and injured his toe and one of my DS and my DD have been throwing up for the past two days! I've been running around the house like a crazy person with a can of Lysol trying to keep the rest of the family healthy and hoping that everyone gets better before we go!

I swear sometimes it's the "I'm headed for vacation flue". :) A week before our last trip, I broke out in Poison, wife caught a stomach virus, and our daughter severely sprained an ankle!

Everything worked out in the end, other than my poison driving me insane the whole time, but I swear sometimes it's the "stress" of having fun that causes it! :lmao:

I have in ingrown toenail starting up on my left big toe.:headache: I sleep with a ziplock bag on it, to ease the pain, and make the skin soft, another night or too and it should be OK.;) I WILL BE GOING TO WDW COME HECK OR HIGHWATER!

OMG! You poor things! Here is a :grouphug: for all of you!

Is there somewhere near by you can get some hazmat suits for all of you?;) With maybe some hockey pads underneath it all?

Sorry, I really have no good advice. Just try to keep smiling, ok?

I told my family I am wrapping them all up in bubble wrap :rotfl:

The day before we had to leave my DD who was 3 had triped and hit her head on the corner of the wall. She had a huge goose egg in the middle of her head.It was the worst I have ever seen. I panicked and talked to a nurse at the ER who said they couldn't do anything for her but to watch her over the next 24 hrs and see how she was doing.I was so worried because we were leaving the next day I couldn't sleep or do any thing .By the time we arrived at WDW the bump still hadn't gone down and it was so black and blue.It seemed like every cast member ask her what happened and told her that they hoped she felt better. She has a huge bruise in all our pictures but we still had fun and thats all that matters.Things will get better as soon as you get there you'll forget all about the days before:)

Hope everyone gets better soon...and really hope it is not in the water!! You are n ot to far from me:)

Looks like we are going to have anice caravan on I-10 headed out of town come Friday and Saturday.....We leave Sat morning....:cool1:
