4 day Wonder -New Years Eve 2007

Anyone cruising the Wonder a year from now? DH and I will be celebrating our 20th Anniversary. DS (15) will be with us as well.

Yes this is the 4night Dec 30 - Jan 3. I have held my date and as long as everything goes well me and my DH and DS (8) will be there

My husband and I will be onboard, with my parents and sons who will be 18 and 11 then. This will be our first time on the Wonder. We have done 5 of the 7 night cruises and one 4 night this Dec on the Magic. We had great weather at sea and Castaway, but cold in Nassau and Port Canaveral. We will be using DVC points to stay at WDW 2 nights before--I have to remember to book this week when the dates open up.

I was glad to see someone start a thread---we have a long countdown. Has anyone been onboard NY eve? We missed it this year cruising Dec 24-30, but loved the christmas decorations.

We have done the 7 day on the magic in July 06. My DS had a great time. So we are hoping to do this 4 night to celebrate New Years Eve. We have never been on the Wonder before. I am hoping to due the Magic in 08.

Glad to see some company. This is our first cruise so any tips you care to pass along would be appreciated. Will you be dressing up for pirates night? Do you decorate your doors? I am going to assume that New Years Eve will be formal dress.

We don't dress up for Pirate night, but a lot of people do with great costumes! My older son and husband refuse.

I had not thought of that, but NY eve most likely will be a dress up night.

The best tip is read the cruise forums and if you have a question ask--people here are great and can answer any question.

We have met some great people through these boards!

Since it is s shorter cruise I might do t-shirts for all of us to keep the luggage light.

I agree I found all my info from these pages and I do not regret all the time I put in.

So whatever question you have it can be answered

Oh-my-gawsh...forgot to get back here. Yes, YES, YES!!! I made our reservations and put down the deposit. God willing, we are good to go! We are driving so we hope to stay in the area on the night of 12/29. Any suggestions for a hotel nearby?

December 30th is our 20th anniversary and we considered a vow renewal while on the cruise. But we decided instead to use the money and get on the waitlist for a Cat 3 suite. Here's hoping we get "the call".

No suggestions, sorry. We are doing 3 day land/4 day sea. DS has always wanted to stay at Animal Kingdom; so he is getting his wish. By the way our anniversary is on December 31st. We are s000000 looking forward to this.

I just booked this cruise as a Christmas present for my DH, DD(11), DS(8) and DD(4). I am not going to breathe a word of this until Dec 25th to my family. I was torn with the price of this because we already booked the DD CC in Oct 08 for Halloween and the price of that cruise was cheaper in a Cat 4 than this one in CAT 10 adjoining rooms. But, I am taking this as great fun and a Christmas present to remember for their life. I am so excited, but have to keep quiet. I still am not sure if I will move us up to a CAT 4, but we are never in the room anyway.
