4 day park reservation strategy?

Hi - looking for some tips and input here. I have an upcoming trip in June with 4 day park hopper passes. In the past, prior to the park reservation system and virtual queues, I would have planned to start at each of the 4 parks those different days.

Now with Tron and Cosmic Rewind needing virtual queue spots, would it be wiser to split the reservations between Epcot and MK if I wanted to go on those rides more than once? Because unless I’m mistaken, you can’t join a virtual queue unless you are starting at that park - correct?

If you book a VQ for an attraction, you need to have access to that park to board the attraction. That could mean a park reservation or the ability to hop after 2pm depending on when you snag the VQ.

VQ have drops at 7am (must have a park reservation), 1pm (must have a park reservation) and sometimes at 6pm (for extra hours - deluxe resort guests on certain nights).

For an ILL, you can select a time depending on what's available. As always, you need a park reservation to enter a park or hop to the park after 2pm. I think in order to hop to a second park, you have to tap into the park reservation park first. So, if you have a park reservation for MK and want to hop to EP, you have to tap into MK before 2pm so you can hop to EP.

If you want to do VQ and ILL for both GOTG and Tron, you could make park reservations for only MK and EP and not worry about the hopping factor. You could grab an early VQ boarding group and an early ILL and then hop somewhere else after 2pm.

You can attempt to get a boarding group at 1pm for GOTG but it requires you being in the park at 1pm. You would need to hope that there are still spots available if you plan to hop to Epcot at 2pm.

I assume TRON will be the same.

So your best bet would be to start your day in each park. It will give you two chances to secure a boarding group.
