My daughter and I had a great trip - some great memories for both of us. We missed Mom, but it was pretty hot for the firs couple days - which Mom would not have cared for!
We packed a lot in - and were pretty wiped when we got home - but loved every minute of it!
The Extra Magic Hours in the morning are great! We had done the evening ones before (which were easy to do) and they were much more crowded. The morning ones are the way to go!
MK was great - the crowds were never that bad - even on Saturday which surprised me. There was a huge stand-by line on BTMRR on Saturday, but the fast pass was only a one-hour wait - so go figure.
We did all the rides we had not done before, so that was great.
Soarin' was fantastic, but we did have an issue with EPCOT. At my daughter's age - 8 - she wasn't to excited about visiting the countries - and there are not many rides open after 7:00pm that you don't have to wait in killer lines for. That was too bad, because I think we would have enjoyed that park more.
MGM was fun - the only thing we missed there that we had wanted to hit was the Narnia attraction (not really sure what it was, but wanted to see it). The fact there were no characters out at the morning EMH was too bad, but we still had fun.
We enjoyed AK - especially Festival of the Lion King which we had seen a couple years ago. I got the distinct impression that the rides here a more aimed at older kids - Dinosaur, EE (which is more like bigger roller coasters to me) - even it's a Bug's Life is scarier than the other 3D's and therefore probably targeted a older kids.
EE isn't as thrill ride as most theme park roller coasters, but it's definitely the closest of any roller coaster at DW. BTMRR and Space Mountain are simpler roller coasters that make you laugh as amuch as anything. The big drop on EE caught me off guard! I was also surprised at how high we were!
A great trip as usual. We got to check out some new restaurants -which was fun - and experience a new hotel.
Not sure when we'll be back now, but will remember this trip for a while!
